  We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Cielo. The house was beautiful and comfortable. I loved being able to stay in the shade under the palm trees while still being close to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. We had a great time. All of the staff were exceedingly helpful and kind to us. After our week at Casa Cielo we spent the weekend at a condo on Half Moon Bay. We were sad to leave the house and have to stay somewhere not as beautiful and comfortable. We are looking forward to being able to return!

  Our family had a wonderful stay at Casa Cielo! We were 2 families (4 adults and 5 Children ages 8-13), and there was plenty of room for all of us. The villa really is exactly as advertised. The backyard/beach was beautiful and it was very nice that unlike most of the other villas nearby, it had shaded areas if you wanted them. We made use of the kayaks and the watershoes that were there(you do need them). The pool was also well used and located right outside the dining room so it was easy to keep an eye on the kids. We snorkeled right outside the house and seen just as much as we did at the beach in akumal. Guille was extremely helpful with any questions we had and Marcielle and Susanna were amazing. I strongly recommend you get them to cook at least one meal for you. We loved the location, far enough away from akumal, so there was hardly any passerby's on the beach. But close enough to akumal to walk (about 20-30 minutes with the kids). And I personally am in love with akumal! In my opinion it is just a perfect little Mexican village! We went to Lol Ha Restaurant, Turtle Bay Bakery (many times) and if you can find it, Lucy's Icecream. All were great. I couldn't think of anything that we didn't like about this place so I asked my husband, he said the worst thing was we had to leave! And to the owners, we admired the time and though that must have went into the decor and how everything in the house was obviously purchased locally. All of those little details are what truly made it feel like a home, thank you for sharing it with us.

  We had a great father son trip and only compliments for the house and staff. First, the house was exceptionally clean. Suzanna, the maid is a gem. We enjoyed the music system. It was plug in iPod and enjoy. The sound quality was great. We appreciated the water provided and coffee. We definitely want to return to Casa Cielo. It is well done and does not feel like most rental houses. We look forward to returning in the fall or winter.

  We all enjoyed our stay very much at Casa Cielo and we found the home to be very comfortable for our two families. Marcielle and Suzanna were also great and very helpful with anything we required. If we decide to return to this area again for next year’s vacation we will definitely contact you again for a return visit. Also, I have been asked by several of our friends for a recommendation of places to stay in your area and have recommended them to contact you directly. Thank you very much!

  Our stay at Casa Cielo was a most memorable one. The house was fabulous and met and exceeded all of our needs. There was plenty of room for our large family of 10. We took advantage of the pool, snorkeling, walking the beach, cooking on the grill, drinks at sunset on the rooftop, lounging in the sun, ... the list could go on and on. Guille, the manager, was a great source to aid with our daily adventures. Marcielle and Susanna made a delicious Mayan meal for us one night. We wished we planned to have them cook another one for us, but literally ran out of time. One day Guille set up a local guide to take us to see ruins, have lunch at a local restaurant, tour and swim in cenotes, (highly recommended) and shop for local art. Miguel was a fun and hospitable guide. Overall, our vacation and stay at the Casa Cielo was top notch. We would love to return and hope that one day we can. Thanks to Marcia from akumal Direct, Guille, Marcielle, Susanna, and Miquel for making our trip worth every penny spent.

  As for the house Casa Cielo, we thought it was fabulous! It has so many wonderful features that it would be difficult to decide what we liked best. The staff is fantastic – the meals they made were delicious, and they were such nice and friendly people. Our kids were sad to leave, and our youngest had tears in his eyes when he was hugging Guille and Susanna. It was a great vacation full of many treasured memories, and I cannot think of a single thing that needs improvement. We definitely felt safe! There was never any situation where we felt concerned or nervous about anything. The South Akumal neighborhood has the security attendants at the gate, and I never noticed anyone coming or going other than the guests and the caretakers of the various homes. There was also a security patrol on the beach at night. It was such a quiet and peaceful area. We did venture out and travel down to the town of Tulum a couple of times, and that seemed perfectly safe as well. It seems to me that if you’re using the same level of caution that you would use while on vacation in the US, you should be just fine.

  Casa Del Cielo is an amazing villa! The decor and furnishings are beautiful with very spacious and comfortable rooms and all the amenities one could ever need like blow dryers, curling irons, first aid kits, beach bags, and there were even extra beach shoes & fins in several sizes for adults and children. Plus, the air conditioning works great in all the bedrooms and living areas. We turned them off lots of times they worked so well! The staff kept our villa and pool cleaned every day and even the sand was raked every morning from the beach all the way around the villa. We found several wonderful places to eat in South akumal which is just a short ride down the 4 lane highway from the gated location of the villa. Awesome snorneling at akumal beach where we saw several turtles feeding. Our week at Casa del Cielo will be long remembered. We are planning our trip for next year back to the "House in Heaven", Casa del Cielo.

  "Amazing week at Casa Del Cielo" We had an amazingly relaxing and enjoyable stay at Casa Del Cielo. There were 6 of us - 3 couples who have been friends for many years and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Guilla, Marcielo and Suzanna went out of their way to ensure we were happy, comfortable and had everything we needed. The villa was beautiful and Suzanna kept it very clean, Marcielo made sure the pool and outside areas were clean each day (even the sand was raked each day), and Guilla made sure we were happy. The meal they prepared was very tasty and authentic Mexican dishes. Thanks to all for a great vacation!

  We entered Casa Cielo and were "Taken" by it all. The house is outstanding, the view absolutely beautiful, the level of comfort, totally uncomprimising, and the caretakers left us wanting nothing. It's a slow time therefore rather laid back and very comfortable throughout the community of akumal. I loved it and will be back. By the way, no signs at all of trouble anywhere in our travels which took us as far as Pt. Adventouras. Our neighbers went to Tulum with no sign of troubles. We were treated with total respect by all.

  We just returned from Akumal and Casa Ceilo. Everyone loved the villa and the staff. The villa is amazing and everything one could imagine was provided. I really enjoyed the stereo system. What a wonderful place to visit. I would love to go back next year! Thanks for making it all happen smoothly. We had a great time.

  My husband, our daughter, son-in-law, my sister, my niece and her husband stayed at Casa Cielo to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. What a perfect time we had. Everything was just as described. The patio and pool were great! The beach, as well as the ocean, was absolutely beautiful. We have never seen water so breathtaking. The villa is so perfect we only left three times! Be sure to to take advantage of Guille's cooking. It is fabulous. (Try the chicken tostadas). I would gladly recommend this villa to anyone. It is well worth the price and you will not be sorry! It is by far the BEST villa in Akumal Sur. No other villa even comes close! All the other villas were in the hot sun but Casa Cielo was very well shaded with many palm trees, giving you great shade while on the patio. Just one negative. The patio and tile in the villa become VERY slippery when wet so be careful. Other than that it is like being in the Garden of Eden!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Thank you once again for making our holiday a dream come true. Casa Cielo home is a beautiful home and the staff is so nice. Everyone was always with a smile and willing to help. The home is spacious, allowing everyone to have privacy in their rooms but at the same time gather and spend time together. The had all of our meals in the table outside - great place for family gathering! Safety was not an issue; we all felt very safe in the home and in the street. We would go out for relaxing walks in the afternoon and admire all the beautiful residences around. The kitchen was one of the best parts :) I loved it! It had everything we needed and we were able to gather and prepare as family our favorite meals. The beach was beautiful and allowed us to do snorkeling and kayaking. There was so much do do around. Cenotes were very close, so we could go for a couple of hours each day out and then return to the home and continue relaxing. Everything was so perfect. Thank you and hope we can connect sometime in the near future. We are already looking forward to our next holiday :)

  My family of 5,(Mom, Dad, 3 boys ages 14, 11, and 7, together with Grandma, Grandpa and Cousin for a total of 8), spent 9 glorious days at Casa Cielo. It is a beautiful Villa, located on a spectacular beach, with a wonderful staff. Guille, Suzanna and Marcielle were incredible. We enjoyed a wonderful meal they prepared, and only wished we had planned for more of them during our stay. Guille speaks wonderful English and was a great help when my husband scraped the fender of our rental car and needed to report it so it would be covered by insurance. Guille handled that entirely and relieved the stress of dealing with that. I can't say enough about the level of service and wonderful, heartfelt help from the staff at Casa Cielo. We enjoyed very much all the location has to offer. We spent a lot of time sea kayaking, snorkeling, beach walking and relaxing by the pool. (Be sure to check out the tidal pools on the point to the South of Casa Cielo and the fresh water that bubbles up right at the oceans edge a few houses South. Very cool!) Despite it being windy most of the week, Akumal Sur itself was protected by the reef and we were able to enjoy the ocean most every day there, even when the fishing boats in Akumal were not going out due to wind and waves. Casa Cielo was just a short 5 minute drive from Akumal for anything we needed there and yet the beach on Akumal Sur is so much quieter and has far fewer people than Akumal Bay. The house was perfectly sized to give our group of 8 plenty of their own space. The kitchen is amazing and we actually prepared many breakfasts and other meals there. We were lucky enough to meet one of the Owner's who was in town and can't say enough about how well prepared the house is for a vacation. If you are debating whether to stay at Casa Cielo, don't. Rent it and enjoy. You won't regret it!

  2 families from NC gathered at Casa Cielo in MArch 2011 and were completely satisfied with the house, beach, surroundings, staff, and things to do we did not want to leave. Everything listed on website is exactly what is says and even more. The villa is so convenient to everything and we never ran out things to do. With 4 adults and 5 kids(ages 7-15 ) we were in paradise. Congrats to owners for allowing Marcia to coordinate the bookings and Guille, Susanna, and Marcielle to run the show on site.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Cielo. We could have used more sun and less rain but we accomplished our business purposes. The staff,Guille, Suzzanna, Miquel all were incredibly helpful and sweet. It was a very good experience. It definitely is a great way to have time with our wives and do an executive retreat. Best day at the office in a long time. We certainly would recommend you, Marcia and Casa Cielo.

  We had a delightful time at Casa Cielo. The home was beautiful and well prepared for our visit. Guile, Marseille and Susanna, the staff were phenomenal. They took great care of us and prepared us four meals. We made sure to acknowledge them in the guest book. The binder with the information on restaurants, sights and activities was superb. We took full advantage of their recommendations. Having the internet in the house and a VOIP phone was a great benefit. Especially as we got stuck in Cancun for 3 days due to weather in the states and I had to communicate with the airlines and hotels. All in all everyone was thoroughly pleased and expressed a desire to return. Thank you for your assistance Marcia in the process and continued success in your business. The owners from Kentucky are fortunate to have such a great team. Feel free to pass on my comments. I am in the restaurant business and appreciate truly sincere service and hospitality.

  Would like to thank all of you for making our trip so special. The house was incredible with everything we could possibly need. All the staff at the house were incredible.   We were 7 women in desparate need of a break from life. Not only did we receive that break, the house allowed us to relax and find those parts of us we tend to hide away in day to day life. The staff were awesome. The house and beach were kept so neat and clean. We could not have wanted more. Guille was the bomb!! She was full of information, helpful hints and even made a trip to the grocery for us. We appreciated them all so much!! The location is perfect for relaxation and quiet fun with just a short jaunt to Akumal for more busy activities. We all want to come back.

  This is the second time that my family has stayed at Casa Cielo in just over a year. It is a beautiful home, and it works well for our large, mixed family. Guille, Suzana, Marsaille and the kids are one of the biggest reasons that we keep going back. They are wonderful! I hope we will be able to return next year.
