We were looking for a spectacular and peaceful getaway for a few days to de-stress and relax. Doing web surfing and research finally finding the "Log cabin in the clouds" got our attention. We were very surprised with the cabin and views from the porch and taken back by the peaceful surroundings. Having all of the comforts of home without the normal day to day stress was very enjoyable. Wyn was without a doubt the host with the most... not kidding! He made us feel very welcome immediately and catered to all of our needs and concerns. His place was very neat and clean. The access to Chattanooga and the surrounding area was a piece of cake... The drive to and from the cabin was relaxing, enjoyable and beautiful. Dakota, Sophie and Spikey were adorable and comforting to have around. They are great caretakers of the property.. We highly recommend Wyn and his Log cabin in the clouds....

My husband and I stayed at this Cabin in the Clouds for our anniversary trip. We have never stayed at a cabin before but were looking for something private away from the noise of the city. This cabin was amazing! The views from these pictures do not do it justice. You can sit on the porch in rocking chairs or lay in the cozy bed and still have an amazing view of the valley below. We were able to go down into Chattanooga to explore the city and even went on nearby hiking trails. It was always so nice to come back up to the cabin for some peace and relaxation. The cabin has a kitchen and everything you would need if you prefer cooking there. Wyn is super friendly and really makes you feel welcome. He is also is very respectful of your privacy but available if you have questions for him. This is a great get-a-away location for any couple looking for a romantic spot!! We will definitely go back!

Cabins in the Clouds was perfect for our family weekend getaway! The view was stunning just as it looks in the photos. The cabin was the perfect size for myself, my husband and our 9 year old child. Our little boy loved the loft and wouldn't allow us up there because it was his "hideout:. We also enjoyed the 3D TV and were enthralled with the vivid Nature shows in the evenings. After a long day of hiking and sight-seeing, the home-like feel to this cabin and the sunset view from the hot tub were a welcomed reprive to the hussle and bussle of city living! We all enjoyed the welcome we received by Wyn and his doggy companions. Thanks Wyn for the restaurant recommendations...Aretha Frankensteins and Tony's are a must in Chattanooga! We can't wait to return for another fabulous weekend! Thanks again for your southern hospitality :-)

Great little cabin, perfect for 2 people. The view is great and this was the perfect spot to head in several directions. Visited nearby Alabama for some National monuments, Georgia, as well as chattanooga, A ll of these are within a couple of hours maximum from the cottage, great road up, no worries about the typical mountain access roads. Most of this area is Plateau so its flat and easy driving to and from. Will definitely stay again. Thanks Wyn! Sorry we didnt get to meet you this trip.

Believe me, the pictures on this site do not do this place justice. INCREDIBLE VIEW!!!! My girlfriend and I did not want to leave the cabin! This is now the ONLY place I will stay in the mountains! Wyn is super nice and his dogs next door were a pleasant addition to our stay. We let them out several times and just really enjoyed their company. Folks, you will not find a nicer more pleasant place to stay. Absolutely georgous!! Can't wait to go back! Nice job Wyn!!!

This little cabin was absolutely perfect for our family of 3. The view was breathtaking from the balcony. The loft area is great for kids. We loved the hot tub and cooking out on the grill. My husband loved the huge 3D TV! It was a pleasure talking to Wyn on the phone, only wish we could have meet in person. He seems very nice and personable. The reservation process was very smooth and he answered all of our questions. We didn't get to play with the dogs but it made us feel very safe just knowing they were over there in the pen. The didn't bother us at all. The decor and craftsmanship of the cabin is very nice. We couldn't have asked for more. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We had such a wonderful time at The Log Cabin in the Clouds! We are from Texas and had never been to Tennessee. This cabin was a great place to stay and see the wonderful scenery and attractions that Chattanooga had to offer and still have a private place to retreat to! We so enjoyed our long weekend in your cabin!! The view can't be described in words! There was no need to venture out for sightseeing! Wyn and his dogs were the perfect hosts and was so considerate about our privacy. We will definitely be back for another relaxing getaway!

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time here ~ we wished we could have stayed longer! The cabin is beautiful and cozy and the deck is so nice and relaxing! The view is spectacular ~ the stress just melts away! We didn't leave the cabin the whole time we were there! Wyn and his lovable dogs were great hosts! We enjoyed our brief encounters and had all the privacy we needed! We felt very well taken care of! Thanks Wyn! I cannot say enough good things about watching the sunset each night from the hot tub! It was the highlight of our days ~ we sipped sparkling cider and enjoyed the quiet serenity of the view! We even sat around the campfire one night roasting marshmallows! Oh, the lights from the mountain and the stars in the sky ~ what a show! We will be coming back again! I think we just found the place for an annual girls weekend!

This was the first true vacation my family has ever taken that didn't involve travelling HOURS to see relatives. Wyn was the best host and told us all the potential drawbacks to fitting 4 in the cabin when I talked to him on the phone; however, we were perfectly comfortable and the kids loved the loft!!! We couldn't have had a better time, better access to Chatanooga, a better view, or a better TRUE cabin experience! It smells like wood inside! Thanks Wyn!!!

My husband and I celebrated out 30th wedding anniversary at this cabin, and what a beautiful cabin it was... We truely hated to leave. From the back porch is some of the prettiest views you will ever see... pictures just do not do this cabin justice. its a must see to believe ! As for the owner Wyn and his dogs, they are the best host you'll ever hope to have, very helpful in helping you navigate the city and surrounding area...Now the best part is sitting in the hot tub and watching the sun set. SPECTACULAR !!!!!!!, We plan on coming back, hopefully sooner than later.... If your looking for a great cabin on a mountain with great views and reasonable rates look no further than the cabin in the clouds, you wont be disappointed!!!

My family and I spent the week in this wonderful little cabin. It was very well maintained, clean and you could not ask for a better owner! We had a blast and my children didnt want to go out to eat at night they wanted to come back to the cabin and cook out! The attractions in the area were also great. We enjoyed Rock City, Ruby Falls, the aquarium, the lost sea, The Creative Discovery museum, Lake Winnie, and hiking at Prentice Cooper State park. I will tell you the views you will see from Snooper Rock in Prentice Cooper are just as breathtaking if not better than anything you will see at Rock City and it was free. We also visited the incline railway and when we got to the top of the mountain - we went the the muesum for the battles of chattanooga. If you have road an incline before you could save your $ and just drive to the top of the mountain but my children really enjoyed the Incline. This was also really nice. I do not think there was a bad thing to say about the accomodations or the attractions. We will be back.

My wife and I spent a couple of days at Wyn's cabin the first week of March and loved this place. The cabin was hand built by Wyn and his brother and the craftsmanship and pride in ownership shows through. We really enjoyed the view, peace and quiet and the hot tub too. The cabin is appointed with everything you need, just bring your clothes and personal toiletries and you are set. The area is really nice and Wyn's dogs (next door) kept us company and helped us not miss our dogs as much. Wyn provided first class hospitality and really helped us out with directions to favorite things to do around Chattanooga.We would recommend The Cabin in the Clouds to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway with a great host. Anytime we are back in the area we will be sure to reserve Wyn's cabin before we would even think of renting a hotel room, well worth the money.

What I had envisioned for a fun-filled girls getaway was exactly what this cabin gave us! We took off to the mountains with 3 generations in a Grand Marquis for some bonding time! My 84 year old grandmother, my mom and I spent an incredible weekend in this perfectly quaint cabin! We watched movies, chatted on the porches while rocking away on the rocking chairs, drank our early AM coffee while in the hot tub to see the amazing view and took walks around the property! This place was exactly what I had in mind & we all agreed that we made memories that we'll keep forever!

Truly a beautiful place to spend a few days away from it all. My husband organized this trip for my 40th birthday. We spent time sight-seeing during the day, wandering around the beautiful countryside and also spending time in Chattanooga itself, which is a really interesting city and easy to get to from the cabin. We really looked forward to coming home to our little cabin each day. I thought we'd probably spend evenings out, wandering around the town, but discovered we'd much prefer to watch the sunset from the luxury of the hottub and relax and enjoy the peace. The cabin has everything you could need and the views are spectacular. A real home away from home. We look forward to returning in the near future.

This was a very relaxing, pleasant get away for my husband and I. We can't stop talking about the cabin and peaceful surroundings. We are planning another visit for the spring. Wyn and the doggies are great hosts. They have a way of making you feel at home. On a side note, anyone that makes the trip, should call Wyn for directions. If you rely on your GPS, you are certainly going to go on an "adventure".

This was a beautiful little cabin tucked away on Signal Mountain and the view was breathtaking. Wyn, the owner, was so helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our time spent in his little cabin. It was peaceful and a great place to unwind from the stresses of every day life. We will put this little cabin on our list of favorite places we have stayed and look forward to staying there in the future.

We had an awesome experience during our stay in this tranquil little cabin in the clouds. From the tree-lined drive up the curving mountain to the quiet star-filled nights on the porch or in the hot tub, we could not have asked for a more quiet, peaceful, relaxing vacation. It's close to downtown, the Tennessee Aquarium and Ruby Falls, but don't over-book your vacation time since you will want to be back at the cabin by sunset to enjoy the spectacular view. We found ourselves planning our day around sunset just to be back on the porch or in the hot tub to enjoy the view a little longer. Wyn was a wonderful host with a lot a knowledge of the area and things to do and see. You will consider him a friend by the time you leave even if you only meet him once. Try not to leave the area without visiting Champy's Chicken! The kitchen is well equipped with stove, oven, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and utensils. The local Wal-Mart at the bottom of the mountain will provide you with all you may need and don't forget to pick up some marshmallows for roasting in the pit! (And yes, there is an iron!)

We stayed for two nights at Wyn's cabin and had a wonderful time! The cabin is well built and only a few years old. This is not some fixed up old hunting cabin! I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this property, it has a beutiful view, is well decorated, clean, and is more spacious than the photos make it appear. Wyn's cottage was easy to find and the drive up and down the mountain is very scenic. You can watch the sun set from the porch, the bedroom, or the the hot tub! We do hope to return someday, somehow!

As newlyweds, my husband and I rented this beautiful little "Cabin in the Clouds" last year for our honeymoon. We loved it so much that we decided to come bak again this year for our first anniversary. The pictures on this site are great but they do not do the cabin or the views justice at all. Both times we've been able to stay at the cabin it was in excellent shape, very clean and well kept. The cabin is very cozy and feels like home right when you step in the door. Wyn is an awesome host and will be a great friend by the time you leave. The dogs are wonderful and very loving. We loved walking and playing with them. I think they were our favorite part. We had more fun this year just hiking everyday than we did the first time. There are so many great things to do. Wyn was very helpful in answering all of our questions. I would recommend this property to anyone. If you come this way you have to go out to Snooper's Rock and the Indian Rockhouse in Prentice Cooper Park. It's right down the road from Big Fork road. This cabin was a perfect little place to stay at while visiting Chattanooga for our anniversary. We spent our days in the city enjoying the many attractions and restaurants and then retreated to the cabin in the evenings to relax in the hot tub and drink up the view. The view would literally change as you watched, due to clouds, sun, daylight, etc. It was truly magnificent, and, indeed, a cabin in the clouds! We felt perfectly at home and comfortable, with privacy and the wooded peaceful surroundings. I marveled each evening that we could be in such a metropolitan city and less than half an hour later be relaxing in a serene mountain setting.

My friends and I just got back from an amazing weekend in Chattanooga, TN. We stayed here at "Cabin In The Clouds". The view was beautiful, there was plenty of things to do, and we had a great time. This cute little cabin was the perfect size and had all the ammenities us three girls needed for a weekend getaway. Wyn was a great host! We will definately be back.

This was an amazing place to stay in Chattanooga. It was close enough to town to be convenient but far enough up the mountain to feel very isolated and far away from the pressures of life. Wyn was an amazing Host and gave us all the privacy we needed while being sure we had everything we needed. The view was breathtaking and the Cabin very quaint and comfortable. The back proch with the rockers was a very popular place to spend quiet time in the morning and evening. We will absolutely go there again next time we are in the area. Thanks Wyn for a great trip! A perfect place away from a very hectic lifestyle. A great place for a couple to enjoy a beautiful scenic view. The hot tub was very relaxing after our rigorous day of White Water rafting. Our weekend was topped off by my boyfriend proposing...That cabin will now be apart of my memories forever!!

A true departure from hectic everyday life, this peaceful cabin allows visitors to relax with all the comforts of home. We brought all our food and prepared all meals / grilling here at the cabin. The only time we left was to hike at nearby Prentice Cooper State Forest...Snoopers Rock is a must see with its vista of the Tennessee River / Canyon. We will definitely be back, hopefully to experience the fall foilage. Thanks Wyn for your hospitality!

The cabin is perfect for a couple. Just the right size, the view is amazing, hot tub right outside the bedroom, and we loved the dogs. Wyn is a great host and helped us with directions to some amazing sight-seeing. I recommended to some friends who will be staying in September. This cabin was the best part of our trip to Chattanooga.
