This is a unique three story beach home designed by an award winning architect. It is located one house back from the oceanfront bluffs in Old Del Mar, allowing spectacular white water views. Dolphins, whales, sealions, seabirds will entertain you as you enjoy the scenery. Surfers frequent the waves in front of the house and are a thrill to watch, too. Expansive picture windows and multiple decks and balconies supply lots of viewing areas, so you won't miss a sunset.
Decorated in rich earth tones with easy, tasteful furnishings, this home exudes a casual elegance. The comfortable living room has a fireplace and a flat screen television. A separate family room downstairs has a TV as well. The master bedroom has a fireplace too, and also a nice quiet office nook. You can relax in an airy study loft with its own sweeping coastline view. Or you can climb to our "crow's nest", a rooftop deck just big enough for two. A grassy backyard with a private hot tub invites after a long day at the beach.
The house is situated on a Melanie Way, a quiet alley, and is surrounded by wild flowers, gardens and foot paths. It is within easy walking distance to all that Downtown Del Mar has to offer--beautiful beaches, fantastic restaurants, world class shopping. You can walk to many daily amenities such as the post office, dry cleaner and grocer, as well. A stay in this home is sure to be a pleasure, creating lasting memories.

A special thank you to Tom and Jerri for making our two week stay a memorable experience for me and my family! Del Mar is a special little gem, and Tom and Jerri's property is nestled in a perfect location to enjoy it all. Surf in the morning, walk to the village for dinner after enjoying a cocktail watching the sun set from the crows nest...and nice neighbors...perfect!

Del Mar has everything You could possibly ask for in a vacation get away and this home offers a commanding view of the Pacific. Located on a quiet side street above the bluffs with only the rhythmic sounds of the ocean waves and the romance of an occasional train to lull you to sleep, My family of three had a very relaxing time in this spacious Well manicured Three bedroom home. We were more than pleased with property, and Del Mar is delightful. The photos are a good guide, but the view is more magnificent. The layout was perfect for our family of 4 plus the grandparents. The kitchen was well stocked and clean, and we took advantage of the hot tub. Jerri was easy to deal with, and the instructions were perfect. I highly recommend the place. It was the perfect juxtaposition to Seaworld and Legoland. This was my first trip to Del Mar, so I did not realize that the best beaches were about 1 mi away. There is surfing area near the property, but the surfers have to climb down a pretty steep cliff to get to it. Take the car down the road a bit. Also, a train runs by regularly, but the noise was not a bother. The house is well sealed.
