Majestic Palms is a wonderful house with great amenities. The pool is a great size, and the trees surrounding the back yard make it feel like your own bastion. There is an Albertson's a stone's throw away which was convenient since we cooked most of our meals. My friends and I really felt at peace here and would definitely stay here again next time we come to Palm Springs.

We are an extremely busy family of six with two high schoolers, and kids ranging from 8 years to 16 years. We needed a place to relax and decompress and this was it! This was also a great meeting point for my extended family, who rented elsewhere and were extremely jealous! My younger kids were in the pool every morning at 730am and would swim on and off all day into the evening. It was spacious enough that we weren't on top of each other. We enjoyed everything from the BBQ, lemon trees, board games, computer (awesome to google local information, and print boarding passes). We would definitely rent again if we were to return to Palm springs.

Great House for a Great Price

The pictures were not deceiving at all. The house was wonderful and spacious. Was a great house to rent for a group of 9 people, sat poolside and barbecued. The TV's are a little outdated and the spa is quite small. However, the space of the backyard and home were not disappointing at all! The owners are great and easy to deal with and very professional.

Good times at Majestic Palms

Our party of 9 just spent a memorable week at Majestic Palms. The back yard and pool/hot tub is definately the highlight here. It's private and big. The master bedroom is also huge. The other bedrooms are ok, but nothing special. The second "master" is pretty good, but has a very small shower/bathroom. I wouldn't want to come here with more than 8 people, though, as the other two bedrooms are quite small. We squeezed three of our kids into one of the bedrooms and we just got by with that. The location - near downtown Palm Springs - is great. If you're going here for shopping, tram, downtown dining, etc. this can't be beat. If you plan on golfing on the better golf courses in La Quinta, Indian Wells, etc. count on a long (an hour, or so) drive to get there. The kitchen in this house is just ok. People who love great kitchens with brigtness, counter space, good knives, first-rate appliances, etc. will be dissapointed. I cook a fair amount and I found the kitchen somewhat awkward to work in. It's dated and doesn't have much cupboard space for food, etc. And it's dark and small! Two more of my pet peeves! All in all, however, the house did very well for us and we enjoyed our time there. The owner was absolutely excellent to deal with and we were very happy with the communication, etc. that he provided. We looked after this house like it was ours and he appreciated that and returned our full deposit as soon as we returned. He also promptly looked after a facet problem in the kitchen. It's quite possible we'd come here again.

Palm Desert Near-Perfection

This house met our every expectation—nearly. The backyard, tastefully filled with palm trees and grass, is huge with a great pool, which was very clean and well-kept. We spent a lot of time on the back patio and at the grill—perfect for cooking for big groups. The house itself, also clean, is spacious with fun 70s-themed decor, plus a great kitchen and dining room. Two complaints: Another bathroom would have been nice, and we discovered some fire ants at the far end of the grass in the backyard. A few of us got bites on our feet, but it's a problem the owner would easily be able to solve—and it really wasn't that big of a deal, but definitely something to look out for. All in all, a wonderful experience. You are sure to join your stay here.

Some friends and I decided to rent a house for my 30th birthday (vs everyone checking into a hotel) and I could not have been happier with our decision to rent this property. The house is AMAZING!!! The pool area is perfect - lounge chairs, bbq, outdoor table and the best part - the pool and jacuzzi. The house layout is spread out so everyone had plenty of room to either hang out in their rooms, in the living room, kitchen or backyard. The house is perfect stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location is also ideal...it's around the corner from a great shopping center with a market and few other good places - not to mention all the restaurants. And to make this entire experience even easier and more enjoyable was the owner Kevin, who was very welcoming and made the renting transaction beyond easy. So needless to say, YES - we will be renting this house again - in fact, we all talked about making it an annual trip :)

We spent a girls get away weekend at Majestic Palms and had such an amazing time! There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space and plenty of pool towels! Loved it because we practically spent the whole time at the pool. Plenty of lounges and rafts to relax and suntan with a cool breeze blowing through the backyard that really made it an ideal environment. Kevin was so wonderful and easy to book with and even let us stay late on the last day so we could maximize our stay :) Such a wonderful weekend that we are already planning to come back again next year!

Five Starts***** A Relaxing Getaway Oasis Annually our family takes a vacation to Palm Springs. Out of all the places we have rented, this was the best!! The backyard is like a resort. The pool is a perfect size and it also has a Jacuzzi. The backyard is very spacious and it has lots of grass and palm trees so you can find shady areas to sit and relax outside instead of most other places which usually have a pool surrounded by a lot of hot concrete. The master suite is very spacious and comes equipped with a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The other bedrooms are nice and comfortable. The house is very spacious and has two nice size family rooms for game playing and entertaining. There is also a good size dining room to gather around for meals. Also, the owner Kevin was a pleasure to deal with. His communication was quick and he had a no problem attitude. Highly recommended!!

My family wanted to go on vacation together but not deal with hotels / restaurants. We decided to rent a house so we could just relax. It was perfect for us. There were plenty of bedrooms. We had enough space so we could spread out and not feel confined to any one area. We spent all day in the pool. It was hard to keep the kids from getting in it right after breakfast. We used the Bar-b-que every night. But ate inside around the big table. I loved the two living room areas. The adults had a place to sit and talk and the kids had their own area to play. And it was easy to look over and keep an eye on the kids. Our goal was to get away from everything and spend quality time together. And we certainly did. The house itself was in good condition and very clean when we arrived. The refrigerator could be updated but it's sufficient for a few days stay. Kevin was very helpful to us. He answered all my questions. This is a wonderful house and I would recommend it to anyone.

"Wonderful time at Majestic Palms" Majestic Palms - Took the whole fam damily to stay at Kevin Jobe's "Majestic Palms" house in Palm Springs over Thanksgiving, and were totally thrilled with the layout, the convenient location, the design and decor and the landscaping. Everything was wonderful and we would recommend "Majestic Palms" to anyone contemplating a stay in Palm Springs. By the way, the group ranged in age from 4 to 65 and everyone was delighted with the accomodations. VTY

As a repeat guest at Majectic Palms, I can't sing its praises enough. We retreat to the desert for quiet, relaxation, and the company of good friends, all of which we've enjoyed in comfort here on multiple occasions. The owners have lavished their care and attention on this property and make every effort to guarantee an enjoyable stay. Tasteful, retro-inspired decor and all conceivable amenities (there's a glass for every type of drink, plenty of linens and beach towels, unlimited comfy seating inside and out...) make it an attractive destination, and I've never been disappointed yet. I highly recommend Majestic Palms to anybody seeking a lovely, centrally-located desert retreat. Get in line, though, it books out fast!

We stayed at Majestic Palms from April 23 to April 30, 2011. When we arrived, everything was very clean and lovely - the living room is indeed "retro fabulous." We wandered from room to room, delighted at the space and comfort. We stayed in the master bedroom, which is fantastic - enormous, with a terrific en suite bathroom. If you need to get online (as I did everyday), there is an office with a PC and internet access, or you can easily access the wireless with your own device. We spent many hours by the pool, and in the evenings we would soak in the hot tub. We loved the palm trees and lemon trees in the spacious and private backyard. They are beautiful. At night when you are in the hot tub, you can look up at the stars, sip some wine, and really relax. That is why we were there, and it worked. We used the grill several times. The kitchen is just fine - it's not super high end in terms of equipment, but frankly we were not there to spend huge amounts of time cooking. (Btw, an Albertson's grocery store and a Walgreens are just around the corner.) I completely understand why they don't want visitors to bring glassware out to the patio. Palm Springs gets really windy at dusk, and other times too, and you wouldn't want broken glass. One other thing: when you relax in a chaise lounge at the far end of the pool, it is such a nice feature that that section of the patio is elevated, because you can look over the top of the house and gaze at the San Jacinto Mountain. It's beautiful! We love Palm Springs, and for a week we loved pretending this house was ours!

What a fantastic house! We were in town for the Cochella Music Festival and had a tough time leaving the house each day for the concert. We recently rented this property for a week over our kids Spring break. The house suited us well as it is large and provided plenty of space for the kids to run around. We spent the majority of our time in the backyard which is fantastic. The pictures of the pool area are accurate and it was very well maintained. Kevin notified us about the crack in the pool but this didn't impact the use of the pool and wasn't a big deal for us. Our family had a great time and will likely return in the future.

Filthy, over priced, over rated, and neglected condition

We are quite amazed at the varying reviews for this property. We are very mature, responsible and fair people and we were disappointed beyond words when we arrived at this vacation rental. The house was nothing short of filthy and in overall neglected condition. We contacted the owner immediately and provided pictures of our concerns but were told that they “did not feel obligated to give us any form of refund”. A previous negative review for this property should not be ignored - it is actually very fair based on what we found. Beyond the dirt, dust and cob webs, we also noted the overall smell in the house has been addressed by installing glade plug in’s in every room – without much success in masking the mouldy odour throughout the house. The kitchen appliances appear to be decades old and on their last legs and the pots and pans were so stained and permanently soiled we would not even cook in the house. The owner did agree to send someone by to clean the carpets and some furniture and this carpet cleaning professional even commented on the filthy overall state of the home. We tried cleaning the bed spread but the stains would not wash out and the towels are frayed and old. The house will be cleaner for the next renters because of the cleaning we did ourselves, but this home needs some significant hard core cleaning and overall repairs. Again, as reported in a previous review, there is in fact black mould in the master en-suite shower. In fairness, the back yard is truly amazing and is like a beautiful private park except for the swimming pool which has palm tree roots growing through the side walls, so it too requires some significant repair work. We have stayed in many vacation rentals but have never felt cheated as we did with this property. It is priced in the range of Palm Springs top end rentals but I would respectfully suggest that this house is grossly over rated and overpriced based on it's extremely neglected condition. I would suggest that future renters should arrange a preview of the property before paying any money if they do consider this rental because the owner will not be very open to refunding anything if you find the home as disappointing as we did.

Owner response:Simply put, this review cannot be taken seriously, as you can see by the overwhelming number of five star reviews we've received. We did everything possible to accommodate this person and even refunded his cleaning fee, even though the house was in great shape upon his arrival. It soon became clear that what he really wanted was to scam our family out of half of the rental fee with all of his unfounded complaints. As for the swimming pool, we had it re-plastered and re-tiled when we bought the house four years ago, but a small crack appeared recently near the water line. It has not impeded anyone's pool enjoyment and the pool contractors are rectifying the situation. We take great care and pride in providing the best possible vacation experience for all and are sincerely grateful to our wonderful guests who, time after time, choose to stay at Majestic Palms.

We spent a lovely week at Majestic Palms. The home is beautiful inside and out. Very spacious. We loved the hot tub and heated pool and the weather was warmer than we expected. We had fabulous lemonade made form the lemons we picked from the tree in the yard and the grapefruits were wonderful for breakfast too! The home is on a very quiet street and within walking distance to the grocery store, pharmacy and a few restaurants. We visited a few sites but mostly spent time enjoying each others company in wonderful surroundings. The beds are comfy and with 7 adults and 2 children we were very comfortable. Had a few minor problems with getting the pool heated but Kevin was just a phone all away and the pool man was very prompt and efficient. We'd definitely consider coming again! thanks!

I celebrated my 60th birthday with 8 others at this fabulous house! The house is elegant but at the same time very comfortable. The decor offers a surprise at every turn. The yard and pool are gorgeous and the whole package is well worth the price. Kevin was easy to work with, easily accessible, and very helpful. I highly recommend Majestic Palms to groups who want a great place where they can stay all together. I didn't leave the house the whole weekend but others went to prowl garage sales and thrift stores and to the Living Desert. We didn't want to leave!

We recently enjoyed Majestic Palms for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely property with many amenities. The pool and jacuzzi were great. My family (brother, sister, father, kids, and wife) stayed here in Sept 2010. The location is very convenient to shopping, groceries, Starbucks (if you an addict like me), etc. The home is very nice and much larger than we expected. The yard reminded me of some of the Mexican resorts I've visited recently; a nice pool, hot tub, landscape lighting, misters, etc The owner is very responsive and very flexible; he allowed us to host a wedding rehearsal dinner in the back yard which saved us a lot of money. If we go back to Palm Springs, we will definitely look into this house again.

Beautiful home! We had 3 families and the house was still too big for all of us. Owner really thought of family when renting this house. The kids enjoyed swimming and there were pool toys for them to play with. Air conditioner worked perfect! Close to grocery stores, fast food restaurants and churches. Never had to contact Kevin during our stay but from reserving the home to answering any questions, Kevin was there to answer within 24 hrs. The only complaint we had was we wished it was hotter during our stay! We would visit again!

My 4 girlfriends and I chose this home for our annual "girls only" yearly trip and we were more than pleased with our choice. It was very comfortable, had all the amenities one could ask for, close to everything we needed and the backyard was the crowning jewel! Huge yard, beautiful pool with plenty of pool floaties to relax on! Kevin was a delight to deal with, always available if needed and that makes a difference. It was written by a bitter person who did a lot of damage to our property and was upset when she didn't get her full deposit back. What a wonderful time at Majestic Palms! We were 9 adults and three children with plenty of room for everyone. The decor brought us back a few years to when we were making laminate built ins so we appreciated the labor. Everything was there for us, toilet paper, tissue, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, pool toys -- it was great. Coming from MN in February it was a treat to see green grass and blooming shrubs and trees -- the outdoor area was beautiful. Kevin was very available and easy to deal with. Wow, what a great place..Majestic Palms was everthing we had hoped for...my family spend the last week there , and fun was had by all...it is so spread out , that no one was on top of anyone...space galore for all...pool area was great, so near to all the markets and close to downtown(although we went there only once during our stay) everything you need is there....if i had to think of one item they could improve on..is sharpen those knives please! This house was amazing! This was our first time renting and Kevin was absolutely accommodating and pleasant to coordinate plans with. The fridge didn't stay very cold, but that didn't put a damper on our weekend!

We just returned from Majestic Palms. We celebrated my husbands birthday and had family come there from up north and San Diego. We had the best time! the house is beautiful...the backyard is big and very nice. I have shopped around and really do think this is "the best house in Palm Springs"! We will definately be back...I hope soon!

We had such a relaxing weekend! It was for my sister's bachelorette party and it worked so much better than a hotel room with all the girls split up in various rooms. We had so much fun hanging out and spending time by the pool we never left the house! The backyard is huge, there is a grocery store right around the corner and we loved all the different areas to sit around the house. We would definitely return and recommend to friends. And the best part of this experience is Kevin the owner. He was always available before, during and after our stay. All thumbs up!

WE HAD THE BEST TIME IN THE MAJESTIC PALMS.THE HOUSE IS SO BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED .WE MUST SAY THE OWNER HAS AN ARTISTIC MIND. THE MASTER BEDROOM IS HUGE AND REALLY LOVELY.OUR FAMILY VISITED FROM INDIA SO THEY FELT AT HOME BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER.WE CELEBRATED OUR SONS GRADUATION AND FAMILY REUNION.WE HAD A REFRESHING TIME IN THE POOL. KEVIN WAS VERY COOPERATIVE AND HELPUL AND GAVE US GRACETIME FOR CHECKOUT.WE FORGOT FEW THINGSAND HE EVEN ARRANGED TO SEND IT BACK TO US.KEVIN WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE WHEN WE CALLED.WE ALREADY HAVE RECOMENDED PEOPLE TO STAY THERE,AND ALSO WE WILL PLANOUR VACATION OVERTHERE AGAIN.

We had a really fantastic golf weekend at Majestic Palms. The house was in a great location near downtown and on a quiet street. The yard was perfect, huge and well kept. The pool and hottub were perfect after a 36 holes. The house was clean and had pleanty of space inside and out. We will be back to this one. Thanks Kevin for the use of the house it was great.

Majestic Palms proved the perfect site for a small family reunion and birthday celebration. The pool and spacious backyard provided a focal point for the children at play while the grown ups relaxed. It is very private. The home was spacious and beautifully appointed, with lots of books to read and a well-equipped kitchen. Oh, and has anyone mentioned the walk-in closet in the master bedroom, really a dressing area onto itself? Now I want one at home. It was also very conveniently located near the airport, shopping and downtown.

Just like all the rest of the comments, we had a terrific time at Majestic Palms. The house was very roomy and the back yard and pool made the trip! The Easter Egg hunt among the palm trees was memorable! Kevin was so very nice to work with and also very professional. We enjoyed being close to town too! What a great time at Majestic Palms! The house accomodated everybody comfortably and with roominess. The pool, spa and backyard were excellent as the family entertainment center. The home is conveniently located and has all the amenities needed. We will be back and highly recommend this Palm Springs home!

I recently visited Palm Springs and had the good fortune to stay in Kevin's house. My friends and I were more than amazed by the organization and amenities the house provided. Every room was fully stocked with towels and clean bedding. The pool and spa were fabulous- the heating is definitely worth the extra amount! Kevin is very easy to work with and we had no troubles! We highly recommend Majestic Palms to suit your Palm Springs vacation needs.

We rented the house for the weekend for a celebration, and we had the best time!!! Not only is the house gorgeous, but Kevin has stocked it up to accomodate any type of party that you are looking for! There is plenty of storage, closet space, ample living space, and the pool and hot tub are an enormous plus! Kevin, the owner was very kind and accomodating and we will be going back again very soon. As first time renters of a vacation home, Majestic Palms exceeded our expectations. The spacious home was comfortable, the yard and pool afforded lots of entertainment and the master suites were gorgeous. The home was every bit as beautiful as the pictures.
