'The Beach Trail Cottages' are the ideal Florida Beach Vacation Homes for the family or individual. This cottage, consist of 2 separate newly updated units (newly refinished hardwood floors, furniture updates, new fully enclosed fence for back courtyard, paint, outdoor lighting, and appliance updates). This 2 story home was built in 1925 and has 2 private floors. The cottage offers the ever harder to find quaint, "Old Florida" atmosphere, yet equipped with the modern conveniences one is used to in today’s world.
The cottage is on the beach, on the second row of houses and only a few minutes drive or walk to shopping and restaurants. This cottage is two doors away from the trolley stop which allows one to explore many miles along the gulf beaches. The cottage is a one-hundred step walk away from the pristine white sands and sparkling water of Indian Rocks Beach. Our tropical landscaping, decks, walkways, palms and oaks all contribute to creating a very relaxing "Old Florida" feeling. Our guests from Europe, Canada and from all over the USA have just loved their holidays spent with us.

My husband and I had been traveling to the Indian Rocks Beach area for many years prior to purchasing the "Beach Trail Cottages" (about 15 years). On one of our many trips to the area, we found this beautiful, well-kept, charming property and knew it had to be ours!
Why the Owner Chose Other Indian Rocks Beach Properties
We have always loved our vacations at Indian Rocks Beach and we wanted a place that felt more like "home" to us that we could return to time and time again! We have stayed in many beautiful condos in the area, but they didn't quite provide us with the private outdoor space and small "homey" feeling we were wanting in a property for our family. When we found Beach Trail Cottages, it had the charm, space to fit our small and/or extended family if need be, outdoor space, easy access and extremely close proximity to the beach (a must for our young children) we had been looking for! This cottage is located on the second row from the beach and still on the beach side of Gulf Blvd. (west of Gulf Blvd.) and there is no need to cross a busy road to get to the beach....just take a 100 foot stroll down the quiet Beach Trail alley to reach the beautiful white sand beach!
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The cottage(s) were built in 1925 and have more charm than the "craftsman" style homes built today. We have just refinished (September, 2011) all the original hardwood floors found throughout the cottage(s). We can provide accommodations for families up to 13 people! With two separate "cottages" and a large, fully fenced courtyard area with ample outdoor seating options - perfect for family reunions, small wedding receptions, business retreats. When the cottages are rented separately, they are also perfect for a small family vacation!

We truly loved the charm of this beach house! This truly suited our needs with two children. Close to the beach and a very private backyard that was great!! The kids loved the Kooky Koconut for ice creams. Rustic but with modern conveniences!! Especially enjoyed the sun porch for get-togethers in the evening! Hope to return next year for longer time. The apartment upstairs has a lot of steps to climb so I would not recommend it to anyone who has trouble with stairs but the downstairs is fine. Gail & Bruce - Nova Scotia

We had the pleasure of staying at The Beach Trail Cottages when we visited Florida this past September. In the times we have been to Florida I would have to say this was my FAVORITE location and rental. It was just few steps to the BEAUTIFUL white sand beaches and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It was just a couple doors away from a trolley stop. We LOVED not having to worry about renting a car. The Beach Trail Cottages have an "Old Florida" atmosphere which was so appealing and cozy, it was truly a home away from home. We have already booked another trip there coming up in April AND June. We are extremely eager to return. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

My family stayed at this cottage for my mom's surprise 60th birthday celebration. The owner was very reliable, friendly and professional, and the house itself was perfect. The outdoor deck area was the perfect space for the birthday party, and the accommodations inside were comfortable. Very close to the beach and very easy beach access. I'd definitely visit again.

We spent a month in the adorable upstairs apartment of the Beach Trail cottage in Jan and Feb of 2009. We have stayed at many oceanfront condos and houses along the Atlantic coast. This was the most wonderful experience we have ever had. The cottage is exactly as I would imagine a summer ocean cottage to be...quaint and with the wonderful yard and tropical plants all around. It was within walking distance to restaurants, stores, a nature park and, of course, the beautiful Gulf. The cottage was very clean and had all we ever needed. And our 2 pets were very happy there too. We definitely hope to return.

My wife, kids and I stay in stay in Madeira Beach every Spring Break. We have tried hotels, Bed&Breakfasts, and condos. NOTHING has charmed us as much as this little cottage on the beach! It was spacious, comfortable, full of amenities, and just steps away from magical sunsets! We had a total of two adults and three kids this year. The kids loved having their own beds and room. My wife and I loved the backyard deck and table and chair set up...we spent most nights lounging around having dinner outside and smelling the saltwater breeze. Thank you for a magical vacation, Joe and Serena, we will be back year after year!!
