Our spacious summer cottage sits on a wooded dune with a grassy area in front of the cottage that leads to a beach path over two dunes-all private property. Steps lead to a footbridge that crosses a creek and connects with a sandy dune, leading you to our private, sandy Lake Michigan beach. The environment is peaceful and relaxing - you will never see crowds. We look for renters who will treat the cottage as their home. You can enjoy unobstructed views of Lake Michigan and our breathtaking sunsets from your deck or while sitting around the outdoor fire pit. Take naps in our large hammock, relax on the clean, sandy beach, or walk the shoreline for miles.
For golfers, a great public lakefront golf course is just 2 miles up the road. For bicyclists, the Hart-Montague bike trail is minutes away. Kayaking and all forms of boating available. If you prefer a greater variety of activities, you can find just about anything within a short drive!
The cottage has comfortable, inviting furnishings throughout - including a screened porch with wicker furniture and an antique harvest table which is great for family dinners or games. On cool nights, you can enjoy the good old fashioned wood-burning fireplace - plenty of wood is provided.
The beach is very sandy with very few rocks and a gentle sloping drop off into the water. Beach walks are a favorite past time as you can walk for miles. Responsible beach fires are allowed - however no overnight beach camping.
For families with young children we have a booster seat, and assorted toys (passed down from our own children) for little ones to enjoy.
We are dog lovers and therefore allow one well behaved dog and responsible owners. Pet rules must be adhered to and leash laws are in effect. Sorry - but absolutely no cats allowed. Our cleaning process is very thorough to insure all guests enjoy their stay in very clean surroundings.

Our family just enjoyed some rare time together at this cottage and loved every minute of it. The views are so beautiful, my grandson loved the toys, the booster seat & step up so he could wash hands were wonderful to have. Evenings by an outdoor fire (my first s'mores!) a lovely fire in the livingroom fireplace on a cool evening, and playing board games, Jinga, Rummy while spending time & enjoying conversations with our family who are usually 'on the go'.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.
