Oakville is a great central location to explore and enjoy beautiful southern Ontario. Downtown Oakville is a perfect diversion from the extensive list of sites to explore in the Toronto and Niagara Region. Oakville is an upscale artsy community in the suburbs of the Greater Toronto Area that has many unique shops and restaurants. House is 1 block walk to Appleby College. 20 minutes to the airport, 20 minute drive to Toronto or take the metro. Go west 1 hour to Niagara Falls and Aquarium, 45 minutes to Niagara on the Lake and Shaw Festival plus wine country and fruit land of Niagara. 30 minutes to African Lion Safari. One hour to Kitchner for Octoberfest. Or go east into Toronto for museums, Toronto Zoo, Ontario Place, CN Tower, Canadas'Wonderland! Sports! Blue Jays at the Sky Dome! Soccer! Hockey! World renowned golf in Oakville at Glen Abbey Golf Course. But return to relax on the back patio and swim in large in ground pool.
Christmas is gaily celebrated in Oakville with Santa Parade, Dickens costumed carolers, tree lighting, the Nutcracker at the Oakville Centre, refreshments, and storefronts and streets greatly adorned for the holidays. Our decorated rental home is one block walk to Harvest Bible Chapel which will provide a wonderful Christmas service pastime. Check for dates. Winter activities abound in and around Oakville, skiing at Kelso 20 minutes away,outdoor skating and snow tubing and sledding 10 minutes away. Ice fishing in the dead of winter on Lake Ontario.
You will love the 40 by 20 ft. in ground pool with diving board surrounded by large patio of interlocking stone and in private tree lined grassy backyard with stone barbecue. Dine in the garden under the gazebo. Enjoy a game of basketball on your own half court in driveway. Or a road hockey game. Grass area has room for badminton, soccer or croquet. Relax and cool off after your fun filled excursions.
Living room has large flat screen tv,cable,dvd,vcr,portable phone, with unlimited calls to Canada and U.S., with great double reclining couch and double reclining snuggle chair with lots of pillows, plus view out of picture window.
Dining table with plush cushion chairs when you choose to cook in fully equipped kitchen with new appliances.
The bedrooms are large with bright windows in each. The double bed in one,(with cable access), two twins in another, and one twin in the third with lots of closet space besides dressers in each. All linens included. Tiled full bath with large tub and massage shower is an en suite to double bedroom.
Entrance way has coat rack and shelves for easy storage, long hall to rooms, all floors carpeted, tiled and gleaming hardwood.
Worry free maintenance. Property managers on site in separate private wing of home to care for grounds, house and pool.
The house is on prestigious Lakeshore Rd. and is 2 minutes each way to two busy harbours parked with sailing yachts on Lake Ontario with beautiful parks, playgrounds and trails. You will be one block walking distance to Lake Ontario. Any time of the year there are cultural events and happenings in town and in parks. Coronation Park on the lake has large water play area for kids besides climbing and swing play one minute drive away.
Oakville is home to diverse restaurants, upscale to eateries, cafes, pubs, clubs, and lots of coffee relaxing and people watching. Art, music, and theater all in historic Oakville too. Great browsing and shopping. Gorgeous lake views and fresh lake air in beautiful parks adjacent to downtown.
