Could not ask for a better place to stay. The condo is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay and has the best location on Rathtrevor Beach. This is our 4th year staying at this condo and we would not think of staying anywhere else. We love it here!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful week in August 2012 staying here. The condo is very well appointed and the kitchen was great to work in. Two full bathrooms including one with a shower are great for two showering adults and two bathing kids. The view cannot be beat and looks out directly over the provincial park as well as the wide expanse of beach. The mornings are particularly restful and the evenings are fun especially watching everyone frolick in the high tide which is so 'low' that it's good for everyone including little kids. There are two nearby minigolf courses that my kids love and walking and biking through the provincial park is also a daily must do. This is a very BC and very restful holiday.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Tanglewood 12...Slice of Heaven

My first experience with Tanglewood 12 was in 2008 and have been hooked ever since! I have been coming back each year in the summer with my 2 kids for the last 5 years! The location of the unit and the view is absolutely stunning! To be able to look out the living room window & wave to my kids on the beach gives you an idea of how close to the beach you are! The unit itself is always very clean! It is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need! The beach toys, towels & chairs provided in the storage unit make coming here year after year so easy! With Rathtrevor Provincial Park right next door, there is an amazing running/walking path that meanders through the wooded area as well as along the ocean front! Very motivating to get going in the morning! So needless to say we are booked again for next summer & I hope to make it out there in the winter to enjoy the view again & the serenity! The location in Parksville give you many options of places to go & explore...Coombs, Nanaimo, Monkido, The Caves, Port Alberni, Errington Market, Bamboozal & House of Leaves,Qualicum Beach, bumper cars & mini golf...or just slip on you flip flops, grab a coffee & head down to the beach when the tide has gone out and start walking...and walking...and walking!! Always amazing! When the tide comes in at night, head down to the beach with the kids & friends, start a fire in one of the fire pits & enjoy watching them swim & play in the warm ocean water! I hope this review was helpful & I tried to include all the things you can do but there really are too many to mention!!

Live, Love and Laugh at the Seaside

Thank you for providing such a great vacation home for our family!! We are a family of 4 with 2 young children. We had an incredible week at Tanglewood. Lots of sunshine, sandcastle building, swimming and biking. We visited Rathtreveor Park right next door to the Tanglewood properties for our daily walks, and there are so many things to do in the Parksville/Qualicum area during the summertime. Our highlight was definitely enjoying our days on the beach, and we couldn't wait to get outside to play everyday. Your unit has everything we could have asked for. The kids loved the breakfast bar, and the high stools. We were able to BBQ on the deck, and enjoy dinners outside. Coming home to a welcoming retreat with a shower and a bathtub was perfect to wash away the sea and sand, and get ready for another day on the beach. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will be back again!!

This property was in a great location. The condo was tidy and the kitchen was well stocked. It was in a perfect location with the beach right there and the great park next door. Awesome views, as well. We hope to return soon.

Most Beautiful Spot on the Beach!

I have been coming to this beach for over 40 years and this condo is my favourite in the area. It is very tastefully decorated and stocked with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful holiday. The views of the beach and Rathtrevor Provincial Park are just amazing and the beach is about 30 steps away. Communication with the owner, Peter, is very easy and he is very helpful.

We have been renting this lovely place for three summers now. It's the third home we've tried in the same Tanglewood complex, and the one we've stuck with year after year. We love it! It's SO close to the beach, right next to the gorgeous provincial park, the views are spectacular. This is the perfect spot for a family. Favourite evening/nighttime activities include roasting marshmellows by the beach and hanging out on the rooftop deck after dark and watching the stars. Writing this is making me anxious for next summer!

We stayed at this condo for 3 weeks this spring. It is as the description says ! We love the location as it is close to town yet away from the traffic. We never tire of the awesome view out the front window!!! Just bring your packed suitcase as this condo has everything else you will need. Making the reservation is simple and the owners are great to deal with. We loved staying at Tanglewood and will again in the future!!!!

My husband and I have stayed here twice over the Christmas holidays. We love this perfect retreat. The condo is very spacious, yet cozy at the same time.The house is outfitted very well - the owners have thought of everything. We especially loved the constant view of the ocean and the smell of the sea. Whatever the weather, this is a wonderful bit of heaven on earth.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Your condo was a total haven of peace after a long (and eventful!) flight from England. We have loved watching the ocean, with big storms and tranquil sunrises. We shall definitely recommend it to our friends.
