I think that when I look back at our three weeks of wandering about Southern Spain, there are things I might choose to have done differently. Arcos de la Frontera and living here on the cliff for three nights will NOT be one of them. I would certainly come here again, drive under the buttresses and all. Chatting with you both was the best - thank you for your help and information. It was lovely to feel less of a tourist, since for our time here we were residents with our own courtyard , terrace and roosters.

Thank you very much for all your help and hospitality! We had an amazing experience here in Arcos and Andalucia entirely! For our time here we had a chance to visit Ronda, Tarfia, Bolonia, Cadiz, Jerez and of course spent a majority of our time making new friends here in Arcos. We were also able to see an authentic Flamenco Show which was beyond words to describe. Thank you very much again and we will come visit again!

Many thanks for your wonderful hospitality during - and leading up to - our stay in Arcos! Such a lovely and charming home away from home; it is the perfect spot from which to explore the wonderful town and surrounding Andalucia. The rain in Spain falls mainly in Andalucia, we can now testify! Weather notwithstanding, we enjoyed a superb week in the comfort of your stylish and beautifully situated apartment. Not only is your flat a gem, Arcos comfortably cruises into our top three of all time holiday favourites. And friendly people everywhere!! Thank you for this marvellous opportunity to see geography, history & culture come alive in and around Arcos. From being welcomed by the roosters and Church Bells in the morning to the town coming alive after 9 in the evening, we had a wonderful time; relaxing & learning from our home base in your flat. The view is fantastic, the people genuine. A must for future travellers are the Caves of La Pileta with its drawings 5x older than the Egyptian Pyramids!

This has to be one of the best places we´ve ever stayed! We want to come back and stay for a month. It´s small, accessible and the views and local wine! Not "just vino", but "vino de la tierra de Cadiz". Our hosts have been wonderful & gracious too! You can check out the "usual suspects" for touring, but if you are up for a trip to Portugal (3-4 hours), there is this place up in the hills with the most wonderful food - Mesa do Cume. You can find it on the web and we left a brochure in the basket. The hillside location overlooking the Tavina was astounding! The food fabulous and the Portuguese wine cheap and so unlike any other.

We spent the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 here. Arcos is the perfect place to reflect and to heal, this is a very special part of the world! The natural beauty combined with the warmth of the Spanish people, (I studied in Madrid during Franco´s rule and the people are every bit as warm and wonderful now as then), makes this a special country. Your home is fantastic, the ivew, the bells from the church and Fernando the rooster make this extremely memorable. We were so lucky to find this, thank you!

We recently returned from our 3 day stay in Arcos. This was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip in Spain and Provence. Arcos is a wonderful village and this Holiday Home can not be beaten! It was perfect. Arcos is a great "home base" for exploring Jerez, Sevilla, Rhonda and the Eastern Andalucian countryside. Highly recommend this.

Paul and I had a great time staying in your flat in Arcos. It suited our needs perfectly as we travelled to Seville, Cadiz and followed the "pueblo blanco" route. Arcos, the driving in Arcos, parking with Juana nd wine are fond memories. It was great to return home every day to the cliffs and the view from our balcony. Isabelle and Marco were incredibly helpful property owners from the very beginning. Upon booking, they e-mailed us a 15 page overview of Arcos, the house, how to get there, things to do, etc. It was a great wealth of information. On arriving, Isabelle met us at the town square guided us along the quaint streets to the house. The views from the house are simply amazing. We stayed for a week with our nine and seven year old children. We all loved the house, the view, the town, and the surrounding area. Their shop, Andulchic, is a short walk from the house. Isabelle and Marco speak fluent English which was a help for us. They were extremely helpful as we would drop by their shop looking for suggestions on where to eat. We would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to soak in an authentic experience in Andalucía.

This was a lovely place to stay and very comfortable. Once you´ve had your fill of sitting on the balcony watching the birds and the view with a glass of sherry from Jerez, we thorougly enjoyed the tour (in English) of Arcos arranged by the local Tourist Office, which will tell you all about the beautiful houses you see as you walk around the town. We also enjoyed walking down the path (which you can see from the balcony), along to the watermills and back up to the lower town - a wealth of bird life and great views back up to the old town.

Marcos and Isabella took us in hand, helped us park late at night, and left us to wake in this dreamworld! Beautiful vistas, wonderful neighborhood and an amazing experience. It was easy to come and go to any of the Frontera towns, Jerez and the ocean. You won't want to leave!

Our first trip to Spain has certainly been a very memorable one, thanks to your hospitality and your fabulous house. The views from your balcony are stunning. It was our favourite spot in the late afternoon, sipping on some wine. We spent the week making day trips to places like Ronda, Jerez and Cadiz. If you make it to Cadiz, make sure to visit the El Faro restaurant for some superb tapas. Arcos itself has a lot of offer as well. We sent every morning finding new alleys and sites while getting great exercise climbing the hills. All of your recommendations were "spot on" and much appreciated! We will recommend your place to all of our friends both in the US and in Sweden. Tack sa muchet for allt!

Thank you for another lovely stay in Arcos. The views and sounds and smells are always memorable. We had lovely weather except for Sunday, the Moto GP day at Jerez! Arcos is spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful apartment. Very special! We loved staying here and hope to come back. On our last night we ate at Al Caravan restaurant - this is an undersung treasure! A wonderful cavern - Moorish and romantic. Delicias de solomillo - yum! Very nice owners too! Just wandering the streets and appreciating and re-appreciating the views, especially from the Mirador, delicious! Thank you both and what a great place to stay! We hope to return! PS Clayton (aged 7) especially like blowing soap bubbles of the terrace - I think it confused the falcons!

We just love this beautiful house, and a couple of times,we were lucky to have some afternoon sun on the fantastic terrace. Our best night in Arcos was on Friday, when the carnival peaked. A colourful and funny event with a lot of positive atmosphere. Everybody seemed to be happy that night. Some of the participants came from other Spanish towns, because they love Arcos and the people living here. Now we know what they mean! Thanks and Best Wishes

Sitting on the house's balcony on a high bluff overlooking Andalucia and its "white towns" sipping a glass of local wine while watching the river far below as a shepard moved his sheep back to their corral at sunset--there was no more perfect moment on our recent three week trip. We stayed here for a week and found the house itself very comfortable, clean and tidy--the owners extremely kind and helpful. The kitchen allowed us to cook some wonderful anchovies and sardines we bought at the nearby market, as an alternative to all the wonderful tapas spots nearby we sampled. Arcos is not the big city life found in Sevilla, but was exactly right for us.

Thank you for a great introduction & mini-tour of Arcos. The competing sounds of Arcos, the bells of the two churches, the roosters and especially the next World Cup champions were a welcome change to the flat sounds of our home in Missouri. We both have grown to love Spain, & especially Arcos. Madrid & Seville were fast and beautiful in that order, but Arcos was home. Every step is a photo opportunity that Linda patiently waited for me to take...we purchased so many cookies & cupcakes, we are almost on a first name basis with the Sisters. Thanks for everything...

We can clearly see your tasteful energy at work, transforming the house into a wonderful place to stay. We'd be happy to recommend it to our friends. The General Strike (29th Sep) would have been a serious blow had we not been here with a lovely kitchen and provisions (fortunately and fortuitiously) as well as an excellent library.
