It's a great spot for rock hounders, quilters, mushroom hunters, square dancers, and train buffs alike.
The Rainbow House has been outfitted for comfortable, casual living. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The front porch, with it's view of Mt. Shasta, is a great spot for morning coffee or sunset reflections. Minutes from all sorts of recreation, the Rainbow House is the perfect place to enjoy the clean air and coveted waters of Mt. Shasta. All you need to bring are friends and food!

"We did enjoy our stay. I was impressed with the kitchen. It was very well stocked (dishes, utensils, etc). I've done catering at huge wine country rental homes that were nowhere near as well outfitted... and we loved the stove. Beds were comfortable. And, yes, we'll be back."

This entry is by the owner of the Rainbow House: Welcome to Shasta Rainbow House. This has been my retreat for many years and, after some initial updating, I am pleased to share it with others. We started listing this property in mid August of 2007, and hope that guests will enjoy the respite as much as we have over the years. McCloud and the surrounding area have the potential to turn back time to more relaxing days and ways. There's plenty to do (including nothing). So, if you need a break from the Valley or Bay area madness, we hope that you will consider our home. Enjoy.
