We had a great time kayaking and exploring the area. We got to visit with relatives and locate places from the past. The camp was as advertised and was very clean and well equipped. Bob was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend it and if I can organize another trip would seriously consider stating there again.

Beautiful week with family
Beautiful week with family
When we told folks we were vacationing at Lake Sysladobsis we got lots of blank looks!! The lake was new to us also. However, this lake is gorgeous!!! The swimming was nice, we all used canoes and kayaks, and our grandsons enjoyed fishing. The 1 day it rained we went into Lincoln. The cottage has 6 bedrooms, washer, dryer, and dishwasher which was very helpful. The owners are friendly and helpful. We made s'mores 2X in the firepit in back of the cottage. We saw an eagle. We didn't see any moose but did see one there when we came in April to find the cottage. This is a nice, private cottage..no close neighbors. The week was very enjoyable for our family..ages 1 to 67!

Owner response: We are so pleased that you enjoyed our cottage and hope you will join us again in the future! With the change of seasons it is an entirely different experience! Fall brings brilliant foliage and the solitude of the lake during the winter is so soothing. Looking forward to welcoming you to The Depot again! Bob & Debbie
Hi Deb & Bob ! We had a great time at the camp. Even my niece Emily (she's 22) who has never experienced "the woods of Maine" loved it. Having been to Maine before, I had no unrealistic expectation, so the accommodations were perfect. By coincidence I work at the Home Depot in Norwalk, CT and I was surprised when Bob took us to the camp and that placque was on the door that said "The Depot" ! I told him that it was meant for us to stay there, especially since it was on Depot Road. Again, thank you and Bob for your hospitality; sorry I didn't get to meet you while we were there; maybe next time. Best to you and your family ! Regards, Linda

We all had a great time on our trip. We found this rental to be perfect for our needs. The lake was beautiful, we had a campfire by the lake, went fishing and took walks on the road. We saw a beautiful owl on the last night of our stay, it actually landed in a tree close to the house and let us take pictures of it. The sound of the loons were very soothing. We wanted to see a moose, but it did't happen. We are a Maine family, my ancestors settled in Maine many years ago (1600's) and we love this area. The owners of the rental are extremely friendly and professional. I would recommend this rental to anyone wishing solitude and relaxation. We hope to come back again ! !

This camp is very nice. Alot of room for the large family. Absolutely NO neighbors which we loved, tons of privacy. My son loved fishing off the dock and looking up at the stars from the dock, hearing the loons in the background...absolutely breathless. Owner is very nice, helpful, personable and easy to deal with. I would highly reccommend this place. It's also somewhat centrally located between Baxter State Park (2 hrs.) and Acadia Park (approx 1 hour). We loved it and would love to go back.
