Breath taking mountain views and private natural beauty surround this 45-acre sunny and secluded property bordering 20,000 acres of Pisgah National Forest.
This home is an Earthberm design nestled into the mountain on three sides to provide consistent comfort summer or winter. The house's panoramic sliding glass doors open to the outside patio for sunny, warm and wonderful relaxation. We offer 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, large well-equipped kitchen and addt'l kitchenette, open living and dining space with beautiful fireplace (wood provided) and family room stocked with children's games and movies. Evening quiet is beyond the reach of traffic noises and is broken only by the night sounds of owls, whippoorwills, and, of course, the frogs' summer chorus.
Owners live and work on the property. The house will be open, heat/ac and lights on and music to greet you. We have a greenhouse where we produce flowers and organically-grown vegetables pollinated by our own honeybees. Ask for anything in the houses prior to your arrival and we will make every attempt to accomodate you. While here don't hesitate to call for directions, suggestions or just to borrow a cup of sugar. Feel safe with us on the property while you relax in the hammock. Earthberm House is extremely private; also located on the 45 acres is Wineberry Lodge (see VRBO listing #162595) a 5bd/3bath recently remodeled home and Catwalk Cottage (see VRBO listing #143424) with 2br/2bath & sleeping loft. Brahma Ridge Event Center (specializing in weddings, corporate retreats and health and healing workshops..) lies on the other side of the property and offers over 40 acres of private hiking trails, a pond with a large deck, gazebo and firepit for individual use as well as group events.
