Indeed there are over 100 golf courses within an hour’s drive of St Andrews making it the ideal centre for a golf vacation in Scotland. St Andrews besides being the ‘Mecca’ for golf is a haven for all types of holiday and is an ideal base for a self catering holiday with lots to do in the immediate area.
The upper flat has three bedrooms, two of which are en-suite and in addition there is a luxury bathroom with separate shower. The bedrooms can be double or twin or a mix of both to suit the party that you are bringing. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped and a washing machine and tumble dryer is available also for your convenience. The lounge with its stunning views to the sea is fitted with comfy furniture, television and hi-fi.

Our group of six just completed our visit to Scotland, staying at the Old Admiralty House for five nights. The flat met and exceeded all of our expectations. The property was extremely clean, newly renovated and provided lots of room for our group. Drew was most helpful in showing us around the flat and telling us things to do and places to eat. As avid golfers, the walk to the old course was about 10 minutes. The views from the front window, literally across the street, are stunning; the castle ruins and the North Sea. I would not hesitate to book this property again!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Thank you for the most wonderful accomodations - you have thought of everything (books, binoculars,maps, WiFi............). Everyone loved the wine and flowers too! As for meals, the 'House restaurants were great accross the board (in particular the Glass & the Dolls House). We should also thank you for the weather; 5 days of sunshine and light winds - not what we expected but a welcome turn that helped make the courses a touch easier! We'd definately recomend the Old Course & Carnoustie. The New Course wasn't quite so memorable and a trip to Gleneagles was lovely in regards to the setting and resort but your St Andrews courses really take the cake. Thank you again for the fantastic housing - this is a very special place.

Stayed for a week in May of 2008. The listing description and photos were accurate. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We thought parking may be a problem, but there was always plenty of space. There is a bookshelf in the living room with books and maps and suggested tourist attractions. We absolutely loved this place and had to tear ourselves away to go sight-seeing. I keep trying to find reasons to go back just to we could spend some more time here. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to St. Andrews.

House was better than described. Great, great, great location. 5 minutes from old course. Just a few blocks from downtown. Easy walking distance to anywhere in St. Andrews which is great because parking is tough anywhere. Views were awesome of the bay...right from your window. 3 well equipped rooms with personal bathrooms in 2 and a bathroom for the other one just across the hall. Great setup for 3 couples or a large family. So nice to be able to sit in a real living area with satellite tv or cook breakfast in the well equipped kitchen. Played cards and dominoes at the large dining table which was really great. Compared to 3 hotel rooms .... well there is no comparison. I would recommend this place to anyone going to St. Andrews.
