Beautiful renovated modern carriage house perfect for a Ferndale,CA getaway! Upon pulling up you will find colorful flowers in your private courtyard. Entering the house there is a full kitchen, raised dining table, and futon or pullout bed (upon request). With satellite TV and a downstairs first bathroom with shower.

Up a spiral staircase is the bedroom with a queen bed and bright skylights. Stepping through the glass door double shower is a hidden sauna! Perfect for relaxing after a strenuous(fun filled) day at the Humboldt County Fair Horse Races, window shopping on Main St, Hiking the 4+ miles of beautiful Russ Park trails (right out the door!),Kinetic Sculpture Races, Ferndale Rep Theater, Town Garage Sale weekend, leisurely stroll on the beach(10 min drive), or an excellent meal at Ivanhoe, Curley's, Ferndale Pizza Co (get a Hot Cowgirl!). The first two are two blocks, and latter is a pleasant stroll down down Main St.

Ferndale's new Bocci Ball courts are now completed!! (Just around the corner).

It was large, clean, fully equipped, and stylishly updated without sacrificing historic character. Quiet, just a few blocks off the main street, with lots of safe parking.   • We had a great time at the Carriage House. It was very relaxing and just what we needed to get away for a few days. The upstairs bedroom was wonderful with a very comfy bed and plenty of room, and all the amenities you need in the bathrooms and the kitchen. We made dinner a couple of nights, and Byran even brought us some fresh lettuce from their garden for our salad. Very nice, quiet, and easily walkable to anywhere in town. And easy access to the coast, Eureka, Avenue of the Giants, and lots of other places. A great home-base and a great little get-away! Thanks!

  • We loved your Carriage House. It was perfect for us. Sparkling clean and very tastefully decorated. The photos don't do it justice. Great location on the outskirts of town, and easy walking to everything. This was an ideal base for exploring the area. Our transactions and communications with Byran were a pleasure. Thanks so much!   • Thank you so much for the lovely stay. We were in town for a wedding in Fortuna which was so easy and close. Ferndale is such a lovely quaint town. Everything about the carriage house is great! The sauna was nice and relaxing. No one was checking in on our last day and Byran was very flexable about letting us linger past check out. Thanks!

  • We had a great stay at the Carriage House. It was a great "home base" for our week of touring the Lost Coast. An added bonus was that Lisa and Byran were open to us having friends come and stay with us for part of the time for no added expense! The price was right and it was nice to be able to walk into town for anything we needed.

  • Our stay at the Carriage House was exactly what we were looking for. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The place was very well kept, was relaxing and most enjoyable. Byran & Lisa were very helpful and were open to us calling on them for suggestions, etc. Our weekend activities included a hike on the hill right next to their place, then drove about 30 minutes to check out the huge redwoods. One night we ate in town then caught a play at the Ferndale Theatre - it was a great night in a quaint town. On Sunday, we had a lazy morning: made breakfast at our place then strolled around town to check out the shops. Thanks Lisa & Byran - we would and will recommend your place to others and hope to come back one day.

  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the carriage house. It was so quiet we slept like babies and extremely clean, just like the photos. We CANNOT wait to go back. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, too!!
