So you're planning your trip to Paris and you're looking for the perfect place to stay? Look no further. This is it! We were so blessed to stay in this lovely apartment for 12 nights. The apartment is located in the heart of Paris in the beautiful, up-scale, clean and very safe St.-Germain-des-Pres area within walking distance to most of the major sights and a bus stop right outside the door and the metro only a block away. The top floor apartment is spacious, bright, airy, immaculate and supplied with everything you need. The windows are new and keep the sound out very well. The view is spectacular overlooking the beautiful Saint-Sulpice Square and stunning church. Local markets, shops, cafes and restaurants are right around the block and the Monoprix is just a bit further. The gorgeous Luxembourg Gardens are only a 5 minute walk. The bed is very comfortable and it is wonderful to have a washer/dryer and free unlimited long-distance phone calls. There are many guidebooks in the apartment and the owner will lend out some of his extensive collection of DVDs and CDs. The apartment looks just like the photos on the website but the views are even more amazing than can be shown. The owners, Claude and Lucile, are gracious, warm, welcoming and offer a wealth of knowledge and assistance. From our first email contact Claude responded immediately, providing extensive information and offered his help in planning and arranging tickets, shuttles and daytrips. This made our stay so much more enjoyable and relaxed. Claude has provided a binder with precise information and directions to all the major attractions in and around Paris. He provides tickets for all the major museums. He planned out tailor made day trips to the Loire Valley and Juno Beach for us with clear and precise directions from the moment we left our door. He emailed us before our trip asking if we would like him to purchase train tickets early to take advantage of discounts and had them waiting for us when we arrived. Claude spent an hour touring the neighborhood giving restaurant recommendations and showing us where all the best shops and the ATM and metro stations were. Claude and Lucile are always ready to help but are never intrusive. You could not find a better apartment to stay in or more lovely, gracious, helpful and attentive hosts. Claude and Lucile, you have our deepest appreciation and gratitude for making our dream trip to Paris even more wonderful that we could have ever imagined!

25th Anniversary Most Romantic Paris

The apartment was exactly as described in the add. Very clean and excellent lccation in Paris with easy access to all bus and metro lines. The view is beatiful and the neighboorhood has cafes, shopping, dining and sightseeing within easy walking distance as well. We loved the owners Claude and Lucille. and consider them friends now...They were very helpful and provided excellent and useful information that made our trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend for couples that are looking for a romantic escape with convenient access to all that Paris has to offer!

From the moment we heard the scurrying footsteps of the friendly owner coming down the stairs to greet us upon our arrival, we fell in love with the apartment! It has everything we needed to make us feel right at home in Paris. The owners were always available to provide anything we needed and gave us an extensive overview of the apartment, not to mention the Nespresso coffee machine that was put to use to fuel our Parisian mornings. The best feature of the apartment is the view out the windows: Saint Sulpice Church in all its Baroque beauty. Our window sill was the perfect perching place to chill our evening bottle of Champagne (might as well indulge in all the bubbly brands we can’t get at home). Our trips to the local food markets no longer were just for looking-- we could now purchase the beautiful meats, cheeses, and produce because the apartment features a great kitchen we found to be perfect for preparing most of the handful of wrinkled recipes we brought. We originally thought the absence of an oven would limit our cooking endeavors but it did not. The induction cooktop along with the good quality pots and pans worked great. Our experience at the apartment was one of the best we have ever had in Paris. The services and features described in the VRBO write up is 100% accurate. The hospitality and service offered by the owners made us wonder why we ever stayed in hotels before. All of the great benefits and conveniences of this apartment had a Trevi fountain-like effect on us. We will definitely be booking this apartment again! Michael & David December 2011

A perfect place to stay while in Paris!

My daughter and I spent eight nights at this wonderful apartment, and we had a terrific stay. The location is ideal, being just a block and a half to the metro stop, and within easy walking distance of most of Paris' must-see attractions. Just around the corner is an area with many good restaurants and bars, and the shopping is excellent as well (as my daughter can attest to). A very good bakery is a block away, and a supermarket is about three blocks away. Claude is a gold-mine of information, and also can supply you with tickets to the major museums so that you don't have to stand in a huge line to purchase tickets. His tour of the local neighborhood is quite useful as well. The apartment was well-stocked with supplies, and was spotlessly clean. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it was with the wondows closed - hardly any street noise can be heard. This apartment has it all; terrific location, the view from the windows is hard to top, it's comfortable and charming, and the owner Claude is right downstairs to provide help or information if needed. I recommend this apartment without hesitation!

This apartment has gotten many rave reviews and rightfully so. I am adding mine only to keep the reviews up to date. We were in the apartment in late February -- early March, 2011. Our stay was wonderful. The excellent location, the lovely apartment, and the very kind, friendly, and informative owners added greatly to our enjoyment. The welcoming bowl of fruit, the thoughtfulness of having on hand toilet tissue and soaps and other essentials, not to mention the wonderful new coffee espresso machine, the extreme cleanliness and the well-thought out arrangement of the apartment -- all made our stay extremely pleasant. The one flight of stairs to climb is not a problem and the view from the windows is unsurpassed. Busses and Metro connections are very convenient and local boulangeries, boucheries, epiceries supply everything needed for a happy stay. Paris has many wonderful areas and each has its own particular charm, but the area around this apartment is very special indeed. To be essentially just across the river from the Louvre, and within a few blocks of the Luxemburg Gardens, is indeed a very delightful area for a tourist. Thank you, Claude and Lucile!

........not here! This is a wonderful apartment on the 5th floor (lift to 4th) overlooking the square of the church of San Sulpice. We stayed there last week. The owners live on the 4th floor and are absolutely delightful. When the owner explained where everything was he said that if there was anything else we needed we were to ask him; I can assure you that there was nothing. In spite of the exceptional rain and cold we braved the Armistice Parade down the Champs Elysees but thanks to this cosy apartment, we had a lovely time in Paris,

The apartment was great, the location was excellent, and the owners were very friendly and helpful, and gave us a lot of good advice about the neighborhood, and helped us get tickets for museums. Next time we are in Paris we'll try to rent the same place.

Sept.27-Oct.4, 2010 we were in this wonderful apartment. It had every amenity and a lift to it's 5th floor location. It looks over the square of St. Sulpice with it's beautiful fountain. We were wowed. The owner lives directly below and is delightful. The wifi worked great and the free phone calls to the states were greatly appreciated. It is in a very safe part of Paris with everthing you need nearby. We highly recommend staying in this apartment.

Wounderfull appartment in St. Sulpice

We spent a wounderfull 12 days vacation in this appartment. The appartment is very clean with a lot of fresh air and light. It included everything we absolutly needed. The location is perfect: metro station near by, a lot's of buses in front of the appartment and it is walking distance from the seine and more. Lucile and Claude were so nice and wellcomed us with fresh fruits and wonderfull coffee. They showed us the area and that was very usefull (where to eat, where to buy food, etc.) I was few times in Paris before (only in hotels) but that was my best trip and we would love to come to Paris and stay in the appartment again. Merci Claude & Lucile et a bientot.

My family and I spent six days following the last few stages of the Tour De France, and after watching the final stage, we remained in Paris for another five days. We spent the second part of our vacation in Claude and Lucile's apartment and it was wonderful. The apartment itself was perfect for us, excellent location and everything we could ever need and more was provided for us, down to umbrellas (not that we needed them) and all comforts of home. It was so helpful to have a washing machine in the apartment too. We arrived late our first night and Claude had waited for us outside, and took us up to the apartment, giving us a quick tour of it. The following morning he met us at our convenience and gave us a tour of the neighbourhood, highlighting where to eat, places for best ice cream, groceries, and the best baguettes. We were also welcomed with a lovely fruit basket and yummy nespresso coffee. During our stay Lucile and Claude were very helpful in planning our day trips, even getting tickets for us for the museums. They made themselves readily available for any advice we needed, and it was incredibly helpful to have a local's view on where to go, when, and how to get there. I think what really impressed me most, however, was all the communication leading up to our stay. Claude would reply to all emails almost instantly, and really helped to plan our vacation. He gave us very helpful advice regarding our travel, suggesting we take the train from Bordeaux to Paris, rather than our rental car as we had initially planned. And Claude and Lucile even went as far as purchasing our train tickets online and mailing them to us to Canada. I cannot say enough about Claude and Lucile, I have no doubt our stay in Paris would not have been half as wonderful had it not been for them. Their english is impeccable as well, and all there were also multiple english guidebooks in the apartment. The main reason I chose their apartment was all the great reviews others had left, and the experience was even better than I expected. Thank you for everything Claude and Lucile, I hope we meet again.

We spent a wonderful week recently in this lovely apartment. We have been to Paris many times, but staying in this perfect location overlooking Place St-Sulpice, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, made this our favourite visit to the city so far. The apartment was absolutely perfect for us - spotlessly clean and beautifully presented on our arrival, with a beautiful bunch of flowers which lasted our whole stay, plus a big bowl of fruit and the basics you may need in the kitchen such as oil, vinegar etc, and some coffee to use in the wonderful Nespresso machine which makes the best coffee I have ever tasted. Best of all are Claude and Lucile, the owners who live downstairs - they are so thoughtful and kind - just such delightful people who we are so glad to have met. They will help you with anything if you ask, but do not interfere with your privacy at all. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in Paris from now on and hope to come back and stay at the apartment again as soon as we can! Thanks again Claude and Lucile.

We had a lifelong dream realized by renting this perfect apartment for 30 days. The accommodations couldn't have been more ideal. Claude and Lucile gave us a warm welcome, a tour of the neighborhood, plush bathrobes, and fresh fruit and flowers. The apartment provided all amenities, the location was perfect (three metro stops withing easy walking distance), and the area restaurants were wonderful. My wife and I stayed here in October, 2009 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The location is excellent and our hosts, Claude and Lucile, were wonderful. Live like a Parisian

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful apartment with the most gracious hosts in October 2009. We were very happy with the lovely view and the spectacular location - looking right out the window at Saint Sulpice. We were in walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums, and the markets and boulangeries. We loved coming "home" in the evening, and were cared for masterfully by our hosts. It was definately one of our best memories and we hope to return again.

My wife and I just enjoyed a fantastic stay in this Rue St Sulpice apartment (Sep 13-18). It looks EXACTLY like the pictures posted. The apartment is in a great location. Bus lines right out front and 3 metro stations within several blocks. Best of all was the number of restaurants just around the corner, and Pierre Herme where you can get the absolute best macaroons in the city! My wife is the coffee drinker, and she thoroughly enjoyed using the Nespresso maker each morning for her daily jolt of caffeine. The apartment is up to date and spotless! Having the free phone service was extremely useful when we called home to check on the kids. Claude and Lucile were the perfect hosts. While the live one floor below the apartment, they are there if you need them but provide you with privacy and do not intrude on your stay. Upon our arrival, Claude took us on a brief tour of the neighborhood, pointing out the good restaurants and ones to avoid. All in all, a fantastic place and one that I highly recommend!

Ultimate Paris Experience

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful apartment from May 3rd to May 18th 2009. Claude and Lucile were terrific, thoughtful hosts. The apartment was comfortable, homey, very well equiped, and in an absolutely prime location. It is in a vibrant neighborhood, on the same square as St Sulpice Cathedral, and the view is spectacular. There are dozens of excellent restaurants, stores and shops in the immediate neighborhood, at least 4 Metro stops within a very short walk and if you prefer to walk, the major attractions (such as the Seine, Louvre, Orsay, Notre Dame) are within walking distance. We would recommend this apartment to anyone.

We came for spring break in 2009 and had a lovely visit. The owners could not have been more helpful when we were planning our trip. We foolishly didn't take Claude's advice to buy advance entry to Louvre and Musee Rodin, but he very gallantly helped us to get them once in Paris, even hopping on his scooter to pick them up for us! He also provided great advice on non-touristy restaurants and a day trip to Versailles The location was perfect for getting to all the sites but so lovely and with so much nearby that we didn't feel the need to go far. The best shopping is one street over and there are wonderful restaurants nearby too. The apartment was wonderfully appointed, spotless and perfectly set up for my husband and I along with our then 13 yr old daughter who was longing to visit Paris. We had our space and she had hers. My husband had to return to NYC after only 3 days but the location was perfect for my daughter and I to feel comfortable going out at night without him. My daughter loved finishing our evenings at Les Deux Maggots, which by late evening was less crowded but still a good people watching spot for ice cream, and then walking the few blocks back to our "home." We recommend that anyone going to Paris stay here if at all possible. Claude & Lucille, the owners, are among the most gracious hosts you may ever have.

My wife and I recently stayed in this amazing apartment for a week (February 2009). I have stayed around the world from hostels to 5 star hotels and this is the best stay I have ever had. The apartment is simply in the best location in Paris - you are in an upscale yet historic square with a ton of shops and dozens of restaurants running up the alleys behind. The apartment: stocked with everything you would ever need to live there, let alone vacation...and more. Fresh flowers, fresh fruit, phone, mobile, maps, dishes, coffee, oils, you name it. The apartment is an incredible gem - remodeled very modern yet with old-world charm. Amazing views, clean and well appointed. But, what made this the best place was Claude and Lucile! They helped plan our trip, put our name on the buzzer and mailbox (who would be so thoughtful), made reservations, picked up tickets, toured us around the neighborhood and more. I can't recommend this apartment and wonderful Claude and Lucile enough.

my wife and i stayed in this fabulous apartment over new years. The owners were extremely gracious, helpful and honest. The apartment was perfectly situated near cafe's, bistro's, shopping, and metro. The apartment was perfectly appointed with all the amenities one could need and the owners were extremly accomodating with other necessities such as restaurant reservations, guide materials, scenic suggestions, or anything else we needed. We would strongly recommend the apartment, and even more importantly, the owners gracious hopsitality and comfort we felt when we arrived..thank you C & L for a most memeorable and amazing experience in paris

My husband, teenage son and I stayed at this apartment for one week September 2008. We found the apartment and location to be fabulous! The apartment had everything you could need and plenty of room for the three of us. It was perfectly clean and looked even better than the photos suggested. The owners were very kind and took us on a neighbourhood walk to show us the best shops, restaurants etc. Claude even drove us and our luggage to the Metro to go to the airport! We hope to go back in the future and would certainly recommend this lovely apartment overlooking St Sulpice to anyone looking for accommodation in central Paris.

Wonderful, sunny apartment with all the modern conveniences - very clean, very well-maintained. Beautiful location on the Left Bank at Place St Sulpice between the Luxembourg Gardens and St. Germain-des-Pres. 5 bus lines right outside your front door, many more within a couple of blocks, and numerous nearby subway stops. Cafes, restaurants, shops, markets close at hand. And a fabulous landlord who goes out of his way to be helpful in every way – preparing information sheets regarding tours & train schedules & more for any place you want to visit; helping you with tickets, advice on restaurants, shops, sights, etc. Our 3 week stay in Paris was magnifique!

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

St Sulpice Apartment

Three of us stayed for five nights at this lovely apartment. The view is spectacular and the hosts are very accomodating. A fruit basket was available on our arrival, the apartment is spotless and all amenities are included. The location is very safe, quiet and convenient to the Metro. Nearby restaurants and cafes are also just a few steps away. We would highly recommend this location to anyone travelling as a couple or a couple with one teenager. Can't wait to return.

We stayed one week at this location, during the second week of July, to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We could have not asked for a better and more romantic place for our stay in Paris. GREAT location, very central. We didn't have a car: we just walked or use the transit system. Buses, trams, banks, ATM, cafés, restos and market are next door or less than 5 minutes walking distance. We could not believe how central was this apartment. Everything was as described in the ad, from the pictures to the list of amenities. Spacious apartment and great view, well lit, clean and very well maintained. Having a phone number where people could call us in case of emergency was a welcomed addition. The owners were so helpful, before our arrival and during our stay. Lovely people always ready to assist you. We are recommending this property to family and friends and we would return there without hesitation.

Superb top floor apartment in a great location, beautiful views over Place St Sulpice, wonderful landlords. My wife, 10 yo son and I stayed in this nicely appointed, roomy apartment for two months and just loved it. It is just minutes walk from the picturesque Luxembourg Gardens. There are dozens of nice restaurants literally around the corner, 1 min away. The local friendly fresh food markets, boulangeries and patisseries are just 200m away. Outside the door regular buses will take you to most places in Paris and you are 3 mins walk from several Metro stations. The landlords, Claude & Lucille, were very welcoming, helpful and kind. They had thought of everything we might need in the apartment. Claude's orientation tour of the neighbourhood was marvellous. This Apartment had plenty of room, was spotless, well maintained and had everything we needed. We will be staying here when next in Paris!

We are a french couple (from Paris) with a 4 months old baby, living in Shanghai - China. We decided to stayed at Lucile and Claude's apartment when we were back in Paris for vacation because this location is one of the best place in Paris. Perfect for shopping, restaurant, french food market , and enjoy the real spirit of Paris. The apartment is very nice, clean and well maintained, fully equipped. To travel with a baby is easy because Lucile and Claude can provide many baby items (cot, stroller, baby bathtub). They can also help you if you need advices on sights, restaurants or tickets. A wonderful place to stay in central Paris !

We stayed at Claude and Lucile's appartment with our 7mo. old baby. The location is great - walking distance to many sites and good restaurants. I liked that it has a seprate bedroom and small kitchen - really helpful during longer stays. Claude and Lucile were great hosts and even got a baby cot and other items to help make our stay easier and more comfortable. We've stayed at several vrbo/home away properties over the past year in several countries and this experience rated near the top.
