Mereces Tus Suenos was the perfect place for our family vacation

My family (13 people ranging from grandparents to babies) just spent a lovely week at Mereces Tus Suenos and we found it difficult to leave. The beautiful, comfortable setting of the inn was just what we needed. The open-air kitchen easily accommodated our large party and the many meals we cooked there. The bedroom suites were quite spacious and we loved having the personal private balconies. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly and the owners were equally helpful and accommodating. The pool and deck area are thoughtfully shaded, so we could enjoy the beach in the morning and retreat to the cool tranquility of the pool area in the afternoon. The walk to Eden beach is a short and pleasant one and it was nice to have a more private feeling rocky beach area right in front of us. We bought fresh tortillas each morning from the tortilla boys, fresh baguettes from a Majahua baker, and fresh fruits and vegetables from the produce truck that comes by every other afternoon. All of our needs were easily met between these traveling vendors and the small stores in Majahua, although it is possible to take the combi (communal taxi) that travels between Majahua and Troncones about every 30 minutes. You can go into Troncones if desired, but you really don't need to. We didn't have a car but between the combi and hitching rides in the back of pickup trucks (the locals were very generous with offering rides) we were able to get everywhere we needed to go. We discussed at length whether there was anything that could have been better and we determined that the answer is "no"; Mereces Tus Suenos provided exactly what we were hoping for.

Private, well appointed, safe, relaxing and well-designed property

We rented 4 of the 5 rooms for a week in January. They place is fantastic. It's well thought out. It's well designed. It's well maintained. It's cared for and loved. It's a special place among many choices. I think one of the key factors are the placement of the pool with the shade of the palm trees. Afternoons get pretty hot down in Troncones, and the palms provide enough shade to still be outside and relax by the pool. Nearby town of Majahua is a short walk away where you can find friendly locals, grocery stores, more beaches and fresh fish. Woman who makes bread fresh daily delivers. Vegetable/fruit truck comes by every two days. Sandy beach is a 10 minute walk to excellent swimming and boogie boarding. The beach right in front of the property is sandy to the water, then it's rocky. TONS of seashells and goodies for the kids to collect. Central kitchen is well appointed with room to cook and serve large groups--all outdoors--but covered, very nice. I would recommend this property without any hesitation.

• We found our accommodation exactly as described. The owners gave us easy to follow directions to their place. When we arrive we were greeted by their manager, Jose and our bags carried to our spacious, clean and exquisitely decorated bedroom which had a view of the beach and ocean. I loved sitting on our terrace watching the hummingbirds. • The property was clean, well-maintained, and filled with beautiful plants. • The owner provided excellent customer service. I especially appreciated the notebook with the list of restaurants, water activities available such as fishing, horseback riding and surfing lessons. There are novels, books and games available for the guests. In our room was also a laminated card with a shorthand list of services provided such as wireless internet, well stocked kitchen etc. • My favorite activity after a walk on the beach was to sit by the pool and read my book. My husband spent his time body surfing. If you are looking for a place that is quiet, beautiful and where you feel like you have the beach to yourself this is the place. • The best advice I can give it to bring your bathing suit and plenty of sunscreen because you won’t want to miss sitting on the beach or swimming in the pool. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The fresh seafood was excellent. We have already recommended this property to friends and plan to return next year.

A HIDDEN GEM IN TRONCONES

Merece Tus Suenos is a real gem in Troncones. It is a perfect "10" for our family and friends who have stayed two times and have reservations for a third visit. When I made reservations for our first visit I did so from just looking at the website and knowing the area from previous stays in Troncones. It met all of our criteria:a close walk to the best swimming beach; a community kitchen; a pool; ocean view; room for a daybed for our son; close to restaurants both in a nearby fishing village and more upscale if desired. and a small enough inn that it would have a more family atmosphere. What a wonderful surprise when we arrived to find that it not only met our expectations but well exceeded them or as my friend said "this place ROCKS". The rooms are spacious and have a comfortable king sized bed; there is lots of storage space in the bathroom and the balcony area is like a whole additional room. Our then 12 year old son slept out there on the comfortable daybed. The kitchen and enclosed pantry with two FULL sized refridgesa had just about everything you need to prepare meals. The caretakers Jose and Myra do a wonderful job keeping your room and the beautiful property very clean and Jose helped us buy fresh fish and lobster this year from local fisherman. There is also a fruit/veg/egg truck that stops by so you don't have to go into the main area of Troncones to buy produce. The owners Craig and Marianne were there for part of our stay. Merece Tus Suenos is the perfect peaceful retreat! If you are a person or family that does not get into the hectic, hustle and bustle of the touristy areas, this is the spot for you. Sure, you can do all the same activities as in the touristy areas (snorkeling, boogie boarding, horseback, cave exploration, fishing, restaurants, dancing, hiking, biking, etc) but here you come back to a very private, tropical authentic bungalow. You will find yourself consumed, be it the ocean waves, a walk down the beach, sunsets, a book or even a tropical beverage. The layout was well thought out. Liked the shared "open" kitchen and grill. Each unit designed with privacy in mind. Pool is perfect for a cooling relief. Plantings are gorgeous and add to the ambiance. Most of all, the caretakers Jose and Myra are the best and will help with any of your needs. They give great recommendations for activities and where to eat. Overall, very clean and well maintained, thank you!! Highly recommend.

ten wonderful days in troncones

over twenty years, we have been to toncones a dozen times. this was the first time we stayed at merece tus suenos, on the north end of the beach, it will not be the last. we had a great time!! the owner, his family and an another couple were present, the beautiful grounds always offered plenty of quiet, cool, places to sit and read or just enjoy the views. the sighting of the resort is on a spectacular stretch of beach which offers a rocky cove for snorkeling, sandy beach for a leisurely swim and superb sunsets. there were several bicycles which we used every morning to ride to one of several breakfast spots in troncones, one of them served a very good espresso. the shared kitchen worked very well and we had several dinner in and several out at local restaurants. the choices for dinner in troncones are pretty amazing. we will return again.

Merece Tus Suenos Deserve Your Dreams 40km north of ixtapa/zih is a quaint fishing village that lies along a most spectacular coastline of perfect body surfing waves, especially for us boomers, volcanic tide pools deep enough to enjoy a margarita, while watching pelicans skimming the waters surface for dinner, abundant fishing, horseback riding, caving, snorkeling, and of course, all the other pleasures of a vacation. And nestled within this place we have come to call "why go anywhere else" is Merece Tus Suenos, a two story casa/hacienda/inn with five rooms, all the amenities of home and the service of a five star hotel, but better. In addition to wonderfully clean and elegantly understated rooms, Merece offers a covered, open air fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a large palapa with a hammock, great hanging out chairs with good lighting for nighttime reading or cards, laundry and bicycles with baskets for rides into town (you definitely don't want miss grilling fresh pacific fish 30 yards from the oceans edge). And of course we don't want to forget the pool with palm trees, water toys, chaise lounges, beautiful gardens home to several iguanas and a friendly resident couple with a small daughter who make sure that the guests needs are met without being intrusive. My husband and I will be returning for our third consecutive year. It's still 6 weeks out and I've already started packing. I just can't get there soon enough. If you're looking for a very peaceful, very comfortable, very safe, fabulously beautiful, best body surfing for boomers ever vacation ..... Merece Tus Suenos might be just for you. Try it! You'll like it!

Mexican paradise

We stayed in July 2010 with a group of 10 people. We enjoyed our stay very much. The resort is well-maintained and very clean. There are wonderfull details in the rooms and the resort is well equiped. A place where you can feel safe, at home and relaxed. There are enough activities to do in the area for all ages. José and his wife (the caretakers) are friendly and allways willing to help. They made lovely Mexican meals for us. But we coocked also our own meals in the kitchen outside. We also enjoyed dinner in some restaurants nearby. We were in Mexico during the rainseason. But it didn't bother us because it mostly rained at night. Merece tus sueños was for all of us really a dream that came true!

This place was amazing. I went a group of friends and rented out 3 rooms. We had the whole place to ourselves. The views were awesome and the rooms were really nice. There was surfing out in front of the place (if your good), but we were in walking distance of another spot and good restaurants. The care takers were very helpful and arranged for massage (450 pecos), fishing boat (2000 pecos for 4 people), and helped us out with some car issues. We all wished that we could stay longer. We hope to stay at the same place and talk more friends into going next time.

After many holidays spent at an Inn on La Ropa Beach in Zihuatenejo, I felt it was time to find a more tranquil setting. My choice of Merece Tus Suenos was a perfect fit. This small, family operated property offers a beautiful, quiet. beachfront setting with access to restaurants within a ten minute walk. I enjoy having the option to prepare my own meals and I found the kitchen to be well-equipped. The owners and caretakers are eager to help you enjoy the area with answers to any questions you may have.
