A magical and peaceful place on the Caribbean Sea of Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. The Magic Moon Beach House is set in a spacious tropical garden just steps from the quiet beach.
For those who don't like to compromise on their vacation, this big beach house has two stories. Upstairs, it comes with a master bedroom with a king size bed and 1 other bedroom with a queen size bed. The bathroom is located between the two bed rooms. Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and a private bathroom adjunct.
The terrace extends across the entire front of the house, because you'll want to see and feel the the ocean and its fresh air. Also, the house was designed so everyone has space to read, play and listen to music, play and lounge without infringement. You can even crank down some transparent protective shutters when the breeze gets too breezy.
Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need including filtered water to drink. From the kitchen as well as the terrace style living room, you have the most beautiful view over the Ocean.
Take a warm shower (if you want), lounge on the terrace or check your internet and feel secure with safe and trap door storage room.
Further conveniences: phone, high-speed internet, ceiling fans, cable TV, maid service upon request (please organise at check in), laundry service at 8$/load.
It's perfect to enjoy a long term stay or a week in a spectacular setting. Since you are connected to the world through the high speed internet, you can bring your computer and work while living in a natural paradise! Discounts negotiable for longer periods (min 2 months).
This is an ideal place for couples, families, groups up to 6 people, nature and sport lovers, with a 2 mile long secluded beach right in front of the house where you can run, surf, swim and take beach walks!

Magic Moon ist ein sehr schönes und schön gelegenes Haus auf zwei Etagen. Sehr komfortabel mit grossem Balkon und Scht aufs Meer. Magic Moon steht in einem tropischen Garten, wundervoll. Wir können MM sehr empfehlenRecommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Magic Moon is as advertised. Very well equipped and in a location that provided a relaxing end to our days. Access to area activities is good and only a short walk or drive to restaurants and markets in town. The grounds are a gardeners fancy and Nina is a good and helpful resource. If ever we revisit this area of Costa Rica then we would again stay @ Magic Moon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is the sixth time we have stayed at the Magic Moon location. The first five times were at the cottage. This time we stayed in the house. It truly is a magical place. Nina and Ashton were the best. Anything you needed they were more than happy to supply. Nina has a company called Gecko Trail Adventures that arranged our round trip transportation from the airport. They also can arrange any type of sight seeing trip you want. The location of the house is perfect. No matter where you are in the house, you can see and hear the ocean. The kitchen is wonderful. I felt it was very well stocked. I almost swooned when I saw the lettuce dryer! The house is very spacious. It is within walking distance to the town, a lovely walk along the beach. Alejandra was wonderful in keeping the place clean for us. The people at the nearby hotel Banana Azul were very gracious. We were able to set up an account there and if we wanted to dine at the hotel, we just had to sign our names. We could use all the facilities of the hotel. All in all, everyone went out of their way to make sure our vacation was the best. Oh, and the best part was Sascha the cat. Who brightened every day with her winning ways. Thanks to all!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at house for 3 weeks, it had everything we could need. Right across the street from a very nice beach. We usually had the beach to ourselves. The staff, Allejandra did excellent job and very friendly. Ashton was very helpful as well. Banana Azul was great place for dinner or lunch. It was nice to have access to their amenities. Mama Mias Pizza iwas best pizza in town. The nicest dinner we had was at Jungle Love Restaraunt in Town. We could walk to town in 20 minutes. or we could ride our bikes we rented from Banana Azul We would definelty recommend staying here, we are also looking forward to visiting the area again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We just returned from our trip to Costa Rica which included five nights at the Magic Moon House. We LOVED it there. It is right across the street from a great beach with nice waves, fine sand and hardly any people. The house was perfect for our family of four, with a well equipped kitchen, WIFI, nice outdoor shower, and a safe for computer, passports, and other valuables. It was great having access to the facilities at nearby Banana Azul, where we often had dinner (great food) and drinks by the pool. The friendly and helpful staff at Gecko Trails Adventures (the help desk right at Banana Azul was convenient) will gladly plan any activities you want to participate in like kayaking, ziplining, etc. We highly recommend this vacation rental for your stay on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and enjoyed the sunrises, sunsets, ocean breezes and jungle sounds. We hope to come back someday! About the owner: We took over this beautiful place in April 2011, knowing the property already for a couple of years. One couple is still living in Switzerland and spends a couple of month per year in the Magic Moon House. The other couple lives in Puerto Viejo, very close to the Magic Moon Beach House & Bungalow. They will be your hosts during your stay and make sure you're going to have a great time. Both couples share the passion of travelling, living in a natural environment and are true animal lovers. Puerto Viejo is the right place to be for them! Magic Moon Beach House & Bungalow is managed in a joint effort with Gecko Trail Adventures.

Since one of us is already living here for a while we knew what we would get and what we can expect. All of us love this place so it was just the right thing to do! You will understand us once you have spent a couple of nights at one of the two houses - falling asleep to the sound of the Ocean, waking up to the music of the birds...
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Close to Puerto Viejo town but still far away to get the right jungle feeling. The beachfront location is probably our most favourite benefit as it is so nice to be able to go for a swim, just steps from the house. Puerto Viejo area also offers a lot of great activities as well as nice restaurants.
