Nearby Big Trees and Murphys are wonderful places to explore anytime! Lots of fun stuff for adults and kids to do! Come for some Sierra fun in the Gold Country for skiing, sledding, swimming, wine tasting, hiking, golfing, caving, biking, fishing, kayaking, or just enjoy the mountains and pines in the Sierras at our family cabin located in Blue Lake Springs in Arnold near Big Trees and Murphys, California!

This great vacation cabin sits on a LARGE FLAT LOT in the location of the private country club of Sequoia Woods, to which you have access (see below).

You will be 5 minutes from Calaveras Big Trees State Park, 30 minutes from Bear Valley Ski Resort, 20 minutes to Stanislaus National Forest, and just 15 minutes from historic towns of Murphy's and Angel's Camp. Its location is perfect for a quiet weekend get-a-way or, better yet, a week’s worth of fun! At 4,000 feet in elevation you have access to Skiing, swimming and all water sports, biking, fishing, wine tasting, kayaking, caving, and so much more. Our goal is to provide a place you love so much, you'll return year after year!

We relaxed, enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave! This was one of the best homes we've stayed at in the Arnold area in 27 years. We enjoyed dining at the Country Club as well.   • We had a wonderful time in this immaculate, cozy cabin. It has a large well-appointed kitchen and extra large deck for entertaining. In fact other members of our extended family stayed at other nearby rentals and we had one of the best for seating and entertainment. The owners were very nice and accomodating, mailing a lost item back to us after our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Lake Alpine, Spicer Reservoir, Calaveras Big Trees, Mercer Caverns & Ironstone Winery filled our days with exciting activities. My mom's 80th birthday is in August and I am trying to get all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, together and go up there for the weekend! We would definetly need more than 1 house though.   • We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home the weekend of the 20th. It was perfectly comfortable for 2 families, the kids loved all the bears throughout the home. We enjoyed the deck and the garage was a nice plus for our ski/snow gear. We were lucky to get a great snow fall while there and the kids had so much fun playing right outside the home.   • We enjoyed our stay at the 'Mountain Retreat' over New Years weekend. The cabin is in a great location and well maintained, very clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed the warm wood burning stove and enjoyed the lovely view of the big trees from the large windows and high ceilings. We will be back for another visit!!

  • What a wonderful mountain getaway! We went there for 5 days with our cousin & his family to kick off the summer, & it was just perfect. The cabin is perfectly set up for 2 families, and everything is in mint condition. Even the bedding & the towels were of the highest quality! We loved barbecuing on the deck every night, and it was great to have access to Blue Lake Springs Rec Center for the wonderful lake & pool. We'll be back!

  • We had the most marvelous week in this cosy warm cabin. The sun shone, then the snow came and were very happy looking out of the big windows at the snow covered trees. Our boys went skiing and we walked in the Big Trees National Park and also visited Columbia. Everything was perfect and we can't wait to come again !!
