You need to see this villa to appreciate the stunning location overlooking a wildlife lake with far reaching views over the 5th green and fairway of the Long Marsh Golf Course. The open Florida style villa overlooks the lovely pool and superb landscape. The wide variety of wildlife visitors including waders (Little Blue and Great Blue Herons, Egrets and Anhingas) and water fowl and the croaking of the gators as the sun goes down across the lake is a 'must' experience.
The villa, completed in 2007 is located in White Marsh, the south east segment of Rotonda and boasts a wonderful position that offers an outstanding level of privacy and the opportunity for a memorable vacation in a peaceful part of the Florida Gulf Coast. The villa has been fitted to a high standard with top quality appliances and is fully air conditioned. At the rear of the villa the pool (electrically-heated as an optional extra) and patio are contained within the lanai (pool cage), with a lawned area sloping down to the lake. Within view, but not too close to disturb the seclusion of either the wildlife or the villa residents is the 5th green of the golf course, with distant views down the fairway beyond. It would be difficult to find another villa with a comparable idyllic setting.
The newly completed home has been furnished with great care to offer visitors a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The villa comprises a spacious and airy 'Great Room' with cathedral ceiling and a cosy corner with swivel rockers where board games and reading matter can be found.
The kitchen is well equipped for those who enjoy cooking, with breakfast bar and swivel stools allowing integration with the living area. A breakfast nook with slate table and wooden chairs overlooks the pool and terrace.
There are three bedrooms (one king, one queen and one fitted with twin beds), master bathroom with a large walk-in shower and separate (his and her) marble vanity units and a second full bathroom with bath and shower. Cable TV is installed in the Great Room, master bedroom and queen bedroom; wireless internet access is also provided.
Sliding glass patio doors give access to the lanai where a large glass topped patio table and chairs are located for alfresco dining; loungers are available for guests to use. There is a charcoal BBQ on the terrace to complete the outdoor living experience (enclosed in the lanai). The pool is equipped with removable fence that can be installed to prevent access by non-swimmers, affording peace of mind for parents with young children. Five bicycles for the use of guests and a ping pong table for that fun-filled evening can be found in the garage (fitted with remote control door opener).
The villa is located in a peaceful and beautiful part of Rotonda on the Cape Haze peninsula, a delightful amalgam of wildlife greenbelt, canals and golf links, not far from the white sand beaches of the Gulf. Boat charter is available through our friendly local management company who will also provide a breakfast starter pack if required and offer other services including transfers to and from local airports.
Rotonda is set on Florida's Gulf Coast between Port Charlotte and Venice and Englewood and is in an ideal position with wide, safe gulf beaches to the west and the smaller Caribbean style beaches to the south, displaying the magical names that reflect their attractive character to locals and visitors alike; do not miss the pristine white beaches of Manasota Key, Stump Pass State Park, Don Pedro Island and Gasparilla Island. From the tip of Boca Grande at the southern tip of Gasparilla Island tarpon fishing can be watched (in season) from the lighthouse museum, while boats tackle the strong currents at Boca Grande Pass where the Myakka and Peace rivers enter the Gulf. The area boasts world class fresh and salt water fishing along with an abundance of other water based activities. Rent a boat and explore the intra-coastal waterways to Punta Gorda or north to Venice and Sarasota. Alternatively, charter a boat and skipper and sail out into the Gulf for the excitement of game fishing for marlin or tarpon. Rotonda is an excellent area for cycling with its own pioneer trail and a cycle path that stretches down to Boca Grande. Within the community there are no less than six magnificent golf courses, all open to the public and over 30 courses within a 15mile radius of Rotonda.
Tampa with its International airport and Bush Gardens is 1¾ hour drive to the north, while Orlando (Disney World, Universal Studios etc), the Everglades and Miami are all within reach (2½ hours- 3½ hours). Closer to home are Port Charlotte (15 minutes), Venice & Punta Gorda (30 minutes), Sarasota (1 hour) and Fort Myers (1 hour). |
