Relaxing, peaceful place at ten minute walk from the historical middle age downtown area. Ideal for pleasant immersion in the Italian province, far away from the typical confusion of the great cities. The town is totally safe at any hour of the day and night.

The river Po and the city park are just five minute away from the apartment area.The park offers great occasions for long walks on foot or bicycle or just relax in an easy going ambiance.

Strolling around downtown middle age historical center, its easy to bump into the traditional botteghe (workshop)of the violin craftsmen (liutai). Cremona is the town of Stradivarius and stands today as in its past as a town dedicated to music. Some of the more precious violins of the world are visible in the stands of the municipal palace. The town is rich in archaeological findings from the times of the romans, medieval churches, historical buildings. A stretch of a roman road is visible near the Cathedral square. The Torrazzo is reputedly the highest campanile (bell tower)in Europe.

On the south of the town the park of the Po river attracts people in search of a moment of relax with a real touch with nature. In the sport area is available a communal swimming pool, a field for bocce, huge beaches and kilometers of bicycles tracks. Also ideal for a period of relax and reading.

Excursions to the areas of the local wine tasting are available on demand.

Bicycle rent available and highly recommended in spring, summer and autumn.
Suitable bicycle tracks connect the city with historical localities and quaint local villages(maps and information of the possible excursions available).

The central position of Cremona, set in the middle of the Po Plain (Pianura Padana), provides easy access to many other daily trips destination. Local wine production areas are just half an hour drive away. Milan is just one hour drive from Cremona.
In the nord, the lakes Garda and Iseo and the mountains Alpi are just one hour drive from Cremona.
In the south, the Appennini mountains are half an hour away.
Daily trips to Venise, Pisa and Florence are possible options as far as the enchanting visits of the “cinque terre”, easily reachable from Cremona by train (15€ return).

Basic Italian classes available for a minimum stay of two weeks. Classes staged in local bars provide an easy way to learn Italian with a real touch with Italian life.

  • Excellent apartment in a modern building on a quiet street, new appliances, easy off street parking. Close to major highways. We wanted to travel around Northern Italy, and found Cremona to be ideal central location for making radial trips to Verona, Mantova, Padova and Venice to the East, Genova to the West and Milan and Bergamo to the North. English speaking owner was very hospitable. Highly recommend.

  • The apartment was a great experience. It contained everything we needed to live comfortably and cheaply with a fully stocked and functional kitchen. Just add groceries. Very clean and comfortable beds and linens. We started to feel like we belonged in Italy after our 5 day stay. A super market is just across the street. The down town square is a short walk up the beautiful tree lined street. Definitely the best part of our 10 day stay in Italy.
