What a beautiful place for our family reunion!

I am so happy we decided on the Lodgeview cabin for our reunion. I hadn't seen my sister and her family for 6 years! It was so beautiful and relaxing we didn't even feel the need to go anywhere. We spent time with the kids, playing games and sitting in the hot tub. The boys lover the foosball table! We went hiking and fishing. We caught so many fish we couldn't believe it. It's so private up there we didn't even feel like we had to watch the kids every moment. It was heavenly. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed. Thank you Ken, for everything. We won't forget this trip. I'll send you some pictures soon. Thanks again for everything!

What a peaceful way to spend my 48th Birthday!

This was our 3rd consecutive year vacationing at the lake, and the 3rd different place. We hope to make it the place we come to every year! We expecially enjoyed the bats and the other wildlife! Ken, thank you for the 'VIP Treatment' and the private access to the lake, so I could do my swim training. I swam 2 miles this morning. Also, I've always found sitting on my bike trainer very boring, but 2 hours went by quickly while enjoying the view of the McCloud Arm of the lake! This is a truly amazing place. If it's available next year, we'll see you then.

We are booking next year for sure. The house was PERFECT! The view...SPECTACULAR! We come here every year or so, and this by far, was our best! No Bear sightings unforturnately, but Deep and Eagles plenty. Thanks for everything. It really was INCREDABLE! See you next year, with anticipation! May God Bless You.

My family and I just got back from Lodgeview on Shasta Lake. Wow! what a beautiful place. We have stayed at the lake a few times, but this was by far the nicest! We plan to go back next year for sure. The kids all caught fish on the lake, the owner took us boating and my 9 yr old son got up on 2 skiis! He was so excited! The house was perfect. It had everything we needed. It was very clean! The view was incredable and we saw lots of deer.It was so peaceful and spacious.We all loved the hot tub! Everything was fabulous. We can't wait to go back. Thank you to the owner. Our kids will never forget this trip!

Lodge View Beatiful Home

My family and I came up for a week. WOW the view is more then you could ever imagne. The photos don't even compare to the real thing. Kim was just perfect with her recomendations on things to do. What a great property manager that you have KEN you better keep her. She goes the distance with everything she does. The house was amazing and spotless. More then we could ever ask for. We will be back for years to come and have all ready told alot of our freinds and family. You guys Rock. Ty

Very Unprofessional

Owner does not state anywhere that the cost depends on the number of people staying at the house wanted extra money a night extra for each person over 6. I asked about his smaller house first and said a total of 6 people then they offered me the bigger house so I invited more people and I was sure to check VRBO and his web site about how many people coulod be at the house and his guide lines were 10-12 people. We agreed to pay extra (we were all ready unpacked) He wanted us to use his spot at the Marina charged us extra (we gave him) on the contract he gave us it said you got one boat slip per rental. (no cost was by it) He was acting like it was a big deal to move his boat so I just asked for my money back for the boat spot, he said I could not keep my boat at the house. (even though the ad says I could) and he said he wanted me out by 5pm (it was 2pm) when I talked to him, or he was going to call the sheriff, (he did not say it nice) I never got the money back for the boat spot back I was at the rental for 25 hours and he said he would SPLIT the money for the stay with me. Which I never got anything from him when I left and still have not. I wouldnt even give this rental one star. He just wanted more money, he prob would have let me stay if I gave him more cash. Most of the beds were very hard and unsleepable the master bed room was next to the TV and you could hear eveyone talking like you were in the living room. Lastly I was told the boat ramp was 1/4 mile away and then the owner told me 1 mile, which isnt the case if you count leaving from the house to the ramp.

Owner response:This was a very unfortunate experience. It's true, this guest, (I'll call her Mable), originally inquired about Dreamview, our smaller property. She said it was for her family's vacation. Her and her husband, her mother and father, and her 2 children. Because Dreamview only has 2 bedrooms, (and 2 beds), I thought that Mable and her family would be much more comfortable at Lodgeview, (with 9 beds), which happened to be available. So even though Lodgeview's rate was substantially higher, I offered it to Mable and her family at the same rate she would have paid for Dreamview. On the day of their arrival, Mable showed up with her husband, her 4 children, and several friends and vehicles. She said her father was on his way, and I reluctantly let her in. By the next morning there were more people, more vehicles, trailers with jet skiis and boats. I explained to Mable and her father, that they had exceded the number of guests they had contracted for, and many of them would have to leave. I went back to my office, and about 20 minutes later I see a Sheriff's car pull up. It seems that Mable was unwilling to refund the money she had collected from each of her friends for the weekend. The contraversy began to escalate, and one of her guests called the sheriff. After looking over the rental agreement, the Sheriff informed Mable, her family, and her 17 friends, that they had to leave, in no uncertain terms. Our rental agreement clearly states the agreed upon number of guests, the maximun number of guests ever allowed at the property, (which is 12 for Lodgeview); and it clearly states that we do not allow subleasing. I'm happy to say that this was the one and only time I ever had such a distasteful experience at one of my properties. When we receive an inquiry, my staff and I do our best to determine if our property can fulfill the needs of the client. We do our best to provide as much information as possible regarding what our property has to offer, and it's limitations. We go out of our way to do whatever we can to ensure that their stay is as pleasent and memorable as possible, and to see that they read the terms and conditions of the rental agreement before signing it. Sadly, we cannot always tell if a guest is dealing with us honestly, or if they can read.
