Welcome to Sunbird West 1202, an awesome condominium inside a great gulf-front complex located directly on the "Worlds Most Beautiful Beaches". 1202W has just what you are looking for so you can relax and enjoy your vacation or weekend getaway. One bedroom with queen size bed, adjoining bath with spacious new curved shower rod, kitchen, living room, dining area that seats four, & private balcony with breathtaking views of the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This "C" unit has ceramic tile floors throughout, with berber carpet in the bedroom. Micro-fiber comfortable sofa & loveseat in the living room, and tastefully decorated in all rooms. Glass from ceiling to floor in the living room to allow beautiful views (to the east and south) from the 12th (top) floor of the west tower.
All linens are supplied: including sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and dishwasher detergent.
This unit is fully equipped including: microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishwasher, stove, full-size refrigerator w/automatic ice maker, stacking front-load washer/dryer, bathroom hairdryer, iron & board, alarm clock, 26" flatscreen t.v. in living room, DVD player, CD player, & stereo; 19" flatscreen wall-mounted t.v. in bedroom.

Why the Owner Chose Sunbird
The Sunbird offers a central location for many beach activities. It is located on the far west end of Thomas Drive, off the beaten path where only vacationers staying here (or going to Pineapple Willies Restaurant) will venture. Yet it is within walking distance of restaurants, the Pier Bar which offers food/drinks & live music, and a 24-hour convenience store. The most fascinating feature I find at the Sunbird is the uniquely distinct architecture of the towers. There remains nothing like them on the beach with their unique hallway entrance ways and angled private balconies. They are also visually appealing from both the beach and entrance, beautifully landscaped, plus we are now a gated community.

On-site: 3 swimming pools, tennis, racquetball, and shuffleboard court, private gated parking, adjacent property is a restaurant with outside pier and bar including live jazz music on the weekends! Also within a half-mile walking distance are more restaurants, Signal Hill golf course, Spinnaker Beach Club, a super-Walmart, and my favorite breakfast place Waffle House.

Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, my job moved me down to the Florida panhandle. Growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the family vacation was always the closest beach. Usually we ended up at the Carolina shores... and owning a beach-front vacation house has always been a dream that eventually became a plan. Panama City Beach is one of the south's premier beaches, with sugar white sands and emerald green waters. Enjoy!

Positive Rating
Just finished getting my place ready for guests this week (August 17th, 2007). This is the first take at renting my condo myself (previously had a property manager), but all the guests that have stayed in it for the past four years have left "good time" comments, and said they enjoyed their stay. My place has undergone a COMPLETE scrubbing, using "elbow grease", from the front door to the gulf-front balcony, so it is immaculate.
