  We were in Hawaii in June 2011. Arriving in Kauia at night we arrived at the Sanders house. It was absolutely a horrible experience. After calling the Napali Agency the next morning they relocated us to Hanale Villa 17. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL we were very please with the rest of our stay. Before you rent make sure you are dealing with the property owners and not a 3rd party. The view from the Villa everyday was beautiful, we had water falls, rainbow. Even though some days are cloudy it usually clears up. Also the Princeville Supermartket was very good.

  My family of four visited Princeville this February and had an incredible time. We were all looking forward to a winter-time warm up in Kauai and we got everything we had wished for. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. The location of the place is perfect. Close to shopping, close to Hanalei Bay and close to an incredibly yummy sushi/fresh island fish restaurant called The Dolphin. This free-standing villa is right across the street from Hideaways Beach (great for snorkeling or spotting turtles and whales) and the newly remodeled St. Regis Hotel. The owners have thought of everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen was stocked and the beach closet was packed full of coolers, folding chairs, snorkel gear, etc. The bedrooms were thoughtfully decorated with an island theme and the beds were very comfortable. The entire unit was spotless and well maintained. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai and watching the golfers shank off the third tee. One day when it rained a little, we sat outside on the covered lanai, sipping rum drinks and watching the waterfalls magically appear and disappear. I want to thank the owners for sharing their little piece of paradise with us. Everyone had a fun and memorable time and we can't wait to pack our suitcases and go back!

• A little piece of paradise!

  This villa provided a perfect landing pad for my crew of 6. All slept comfortably (especially we parents in the comfy king-sized bed in the master). We had other families members staying across the valley (i.e., the golf course) at HBR, so this was very convenient with our rental car. Hideaways Beach is our favorite on the island and the access path is just across the street. We especially appreciated the availability of beach toys, boogie boards, and the smoothie blender (the pineapple corer was a nice surprise too)! I think my entire crew would heartily recommend this unit.

  We had an amazing time staying at Villa 12. It held the 5 of us with plenty of space. Breakfast and dinner on the Lanai for 10 days straight... just priceless. The villa is perfect for a family or a group of friends like us. Kitchen is fully stocked (I left a bottle opener in a drawer which was the only thing that was missing:) We even cooked a turkey (which was $3 at the local Foodland, BTW). Hanalei is an amazing place. We took a drive to Poipu (the 'go-to' tourist spot on Kaui) and immediately came back to the bay. Its just that much better. Villa 12 is just a stones-throw from great snorkeling, swimming and advanced surfing at Hideaways Beach (mind the run-down path down the cliff:) Snorkel gear was even included, plus a couple bikes!
