For the first time in memory what was promised in the advertisement was bang on. This condo is beautiful with high end furnishings, large bathrooms, to every kitchen gadget that you can imagine. There are four elevators so there was virtually no waiting time to get down to the pool, hot tub, and of course the ocean. My wife and I had two adult children with us and on a couple of occasions they went out to check out the bars in the area and just walked three blocks and found like minded youth. My son commented how laid back the atmosphere was and how comfortable they felt out on there own which of course gave us peace of mind. Lanny and his wife were very easy to deal with and answered every question i had about the the unit and the rental agreement. You will enjoy.

Beautiful Condo In North Myrtle Beach

This condo is everything that the owner says that it is and more. My husband and I spent 2 wonderful weeks here in Sept. The condo is located on the beach with 2 pools, hot tubs etc. It was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We were the only two guests, but it had accomodations that a large family could stay comfortably. We always try to eat 2 of our meals in, and the kitchen was large with upgrades on appliances. Everything we needed was there to cook complete meals. They even had a crockpot! We enjoyed the spacious master bathroom and master bedroom. The matress was very comfortable, too. Everything was spotless. We appreciated that the area was not overly crowded, but was close to shopping, sightseeing, and some wonderful resturants. We will recommend it to friends and family and certainly plan on getting back there next year.

An Excellent Vacation

My first vacation through VRBO and it worked perfectly. This unit is immaculate and very well appointed. It is exactly "as advertised" and the owner, Lanny, could not have been more thorough and helpful with our reservation and our stay. My 25+ in laws were scattered around other units in the Mar Vista Grande for a big family vacation, and though all were very nice, I would not have traded places for the week with any of them.

Owner response:We have also been in many Mar Vista units and not seen anything we like better. Our balcony is superb - large enough for dining for six and two full size lounge chairs. The view of the beach and ocean is amazing - not too high so that all you see is water - here you can watch the waves and people on the beach. Also after a day golfing or beaching in the sun, our balcony is in the shade protected from hot sun and wind - perfect for gathering and dining. There are beautiful sunrises and twinkling lights over North Myrtle Beach at night! Direct ocean front is black after dark which is early for months at a time! Ours is truly like a front porch.

My family and I stayed at this lovely unit just last week. It had everything we needed, was very clean and was so close to all of the activities that interested the various age groups in my family. There was plenty of room for all our friends and family who visited during the week. A lot of memories were made on this trip and we can't wait to go back. I would definitely go back in the years to come. Enjoy future renters!

We had a fabulous vacation at your condo. Being able to go directly upstairs and avoid check-in lines saved alot of time. The condo looks just like the pictures...beautiful and tastefully decorated. There is nothing lacking in this unit...plenty of dishes, silverware, barware, and so much more. We stayed the week of the 4th of July. This condo is in a perfect location. We could see fireworks up and down the beach. We could even see the professional fireworks at Cherry Grove pier from the balcony. Speaking of the balcony...what a fantastic place to relax at the end of the day. So spacious and comfortable! The pool and the lazy river became favorite spots for the kids and the tiki bar made it an afternoon favorite of the adults. A great vacation was had by all!! We will definitely return.

Perfect location with the morning sunrise and then shade at happy hour and dinner time after a hot day in the sun beaching or golfing. It makes us so pleased that our cleaning service is always top notch keeping the condo exactly like the pictures. Should a carpet need cleaning - it's done, should bedspreads/mattress pads need washing - its done - just like at home where you want everything clean and fresh! So glad you found the kitchen fully equipped - we replenish all kitchenware as needed when we winter at the condo along with painting, carpet cleaning, etc. - no absentee landlord for this unit!

We had a wonderful stay in this unit! Lanny was a pleasure to work and so helpful from answering questions before booking right up to the check in process. Upon entering you realize how clean, beautiful and well maintained the condo really is! There is plenty of space and everything you need for a week long stay is already there. The view is FABULOUS! We stepped onto the balcony first thing every morning and it was the last thing we did before calling it a night. We enjoyed walking to Main Street for the restaurants and ice cream shops. The overall condo complex is just as well maintained with a very nice pool area. I highly recommend this unit. You will not be disappointed! Thanks Lanny and May for sharing it with us.

My family and I stayed at the LaValley's beautiful condo in June of 2011. I have to say that the listing photos and description was exactly what we got. After a long drive from Indiana, we arrived to a very clean and well maintained condo. It was great not having to wait in any lines to check in or out. Mr. LaValley's instructions he sent us to get access into the condo was perfect! I loved working with Mr. LaValley since last October (actually, I probably drove him nuts! Lol!). I can tell through the e-mails, that he is a very kind and patient man. Only a couple minor complaints.....I'm not crazy about heights, so, I was a little skeptical on being on the 14th floor, but, it was worth it. I did wish we had had an ocean front view, but, we were still able to see the ocean from the side balcony. I did know these things ahead of time, from reading the review, so, this was our choice, which we are glad that we chose this condo. We felt that the outside pool deck was a little tight when walking past all the lounge chairs, but, the pool was perfect for our 10 month old grandson and it was always kept clean. The condo had everything we needed. There were 6 adults and a baby, and , we all had plenty of space. Even though we were on the 14th floor, the high speed elevators worked great. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in N. Myrtle Beach, and hope to return with the family again in the future. Gracia Kokomo, Indiana

Just got back from a fantastic vacation.The condo was very clean and well maintained. Actually I thought the pictures do not do this place justice.It has everything you could possibly want. There was 6 of us (3 couples) and we were all very satisfied with our accomadations. Really enjoyed having coffee out on the balcany every morning while enjoying the view and planning our day. Then in the evening having a cocktail while we unwound and watched the moons reflection dance across the ocean. I hope to go back again and would recommend Lanny"s place to anyone going to Myrtle Beach!

Beautiful Condo

We spent two wonderful weeks in this condo. This condo was clean, clean, clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Check-in was easy as promised, the building was well maintained and the amenities were great. The owners are easy to work with and our security deposit was returned quickly. It's within walking distance of Main Street and fabulous restaurants are within a 15 min walk or drive. We'd highly recommend this condo.

This was our third stay in your wonderful condo. We love it! Every time we have stayed there we have felt right at home. The kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook any meal imaginable. The furnishings are clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the beach, the pools and exercise room. The condo is close enough to walk to the shops in OD and only a short drive from Barefoot Landing and many, many restaurants. We look forward to staying there again real soon. Fantastic Family Vacation!

Upon arrival the condo was absolutely clean! Beautifully appointed, maintained and equipped. We have been traveling to MB since the late 1970's and this is one of, if not the best place we have stayed. Check-in directions were clear and concise, no problems. Our family ages ranged from 5 months to 67 years. Everyone had a great vacation. There was a minor problem with the A/C that was taken care of immediately with one call to Lanny. Owners are great to work with. We hope to have a return stay at MARVISTA soon.

It was spacious enough to accomodate 5 kids easily while providing privacy for the adults. I can wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone looking to vacation in a home away from home!

Our overall experience was wonderful. The property had everything and more except for the bathrooms when you were at the pool being on the 2nd floor. That was alittle inconvenient.The owners were great and very helpful. The place was absolutely beautiful and had everything in it. Check in was convenient and easy. It was close to everything especially barefoot landing and you could walk to shops and restaurants which was a plus. We went 4th of July week and there was fireworks everywhere all over the beach. It was awesome. The view was beautiful along with the huge balcony. I would definitely recommend to a friend and we would definitely go back. I cant express how everything worked out and it was a beautiful place.

The condo was just as advertised. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our stay in Myrtle Beach was to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. 4 of our five children traveled to meet us. What a fantastic place to stay! I have to say I was a bit apprehesive arriving at the condo. I mean could all the previous reviews be true? Can a place really live up to all the hype. The answer is **** drum roll please. A resounding yes. The place was immaculate as stated by others and the vews were great. With the side unit you got a view of the town and the sea. The weather was perfect. I have stayed at many condos at Myrtle Beach, and this is one of the best. Compare to Marriott, except larger. Appliances very nice and the ice maker in the bar area was great. Large deck with enough chair space to accomodate all of our group. Beds were all comfortable, and as others have commented, everything was CLEAN. Hotel seemed very secure and pools were good. Would definitely stay here again!

The minute we walked in the condo we loved it. It is so spacious and beautiful.It is by far the cleanest place we have rented. Even under the beds and the couch were clean. My two sisters and our families wanted a condo large enough to house all of us. My husband Dan found this place on-line. Our family visits Myrtle Beach every year. We have stayed at many different condo's. We have to stay the Mar Vista is now at the top of our list. Lanny, Thank you for the use of your condo in June 2009. The rental arrangements were simple and the check in was great! We have stayed in North Myrtle many years and we were not certain we wanted to stay in such a large complex. Everything about Mar Vista was wonderful.It was beautifully maintained,the elevators very fast,no waiting time and the condo was soooo quiet;like we were the only family there. This condo was perfect for our family. Everything about the condo and the entire condominium complex was great. We are definitely planning on a return trip and will rent from Lanny again....great person to work with,too! This condo was a First Class location, First Class view, First Class accomdations and First Class condo in a First Class facility. I searched a long time to find one of the best condo's and when we entered the condo, our guests all went "wow", great place. One of the best!

While we have stayed many very nice places over the years on our annual 'girls trip', we all agree that this unit tops our list. We stayed here 9/13 thru 9/20. It was awesome!!! The condo is beautifully decorated, comfortable and furnished with everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. This is one of the nicest condos we have ever stayed in. Ocean Drive is our favorite vacation spot because of the beautiful beach and the clubs on Main St and Ocean Blvd. We love to shag (dance). The Mar Vista Grande is within walking distance of all of our favorite places in OD. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to staying here again in the near future. Thanks Lanny!!!!

We stayed at this condo from Sept 1 to Sept 13. This is an awesome condo. We have 3 bedrooms,large kitchen with all the amenities that we need. This was our first time to Myrtle Beach, so what an exciting place to stay and come back to. I highly recommend this condo to anyone. Thanks to the owner. Nicest condo we have ever stayed in at Myrtle Beach. I have gone for forty years and stayed in nice places but this was special from the way it was layed out to the nice furniture and we actually stayed in and cooked three nights because we had pots and pans and dishes and a nice place to eat on the balacony. The condo is new and beautifully decorated, and it was so nice to have breakfast on the balcony looking at the ocean. We enjoyed the pool, beach walks, great shoppping, and dinners out. Myrtle Beach has it all!

Everyone in our group was just overwhelmed with the amenities this unit had to offer. Everything was beautiful from the furnishings in the condo right down to the "Carolina Blue" skies we enjoyed throughout our stay. I have never stayed in a more beautiful or a better stocked condo in all my years coming to the beach.

What an absolutely beautiful place....it couldn't have been any better. Linens, towels and cleanup were included, the perfect way for a vacation. The unit was professionally decorated and it showed! Will definately be back again next year!!!
