I am so sorry someone left negative feedback about this cottage. I have rented this cottage 3 times, and have always been treated with kindness and respect. Yes, sometimes the dogs bark but it always made me feel safe, and never so much as to keep me awake all night. Honouliwai Bay is one of the most breathtaking spots in the world. The cottage is rough, but well equipped, and I have never gone to Hawaii to hang inside a building! If Walter Naki knocks on the door and asks if you'd like to go fishing or sightseeing, GO! If Eddie Tanaka asks if you'd like to go hiking! GO! Call the Hotel Moloka'i and ask when Eddie will be playing music. From the house you will see amazing sunrises and rainbows dancing around Maui. You are in for a treat, I promise you. If you love Moloka'i, it will love you back. :)

Molokai Island is a beautiful virgin Isle, we have been here a couple of times. However we will NOT be staying or referring people to this cottage. The dogs across the street 4-5 pitbulls are constantly barking at night and you will not get any rest. Second of all you are not treated like a paying customer and are expected to do the caretaker's job. Be careful, because if you run the water tank low you might get yelled at by the caretaker and she belittle's you. The little beach area could of been cleaner. Make sure you are clear on your cleaning deposit.

This is a diamond in the rough. We absolutely fell in love with this beach cottage. We had the most amazing trip. It’s a perfect beach cottage in the east side of the Island away from it all. You get the most amazing sunrises and during a full moon it lights up the ocean, which it’s all around you. This a great place to get away from every day Chaos and just RELAX.

I have never had a better vacation. I've never had a better 'life experience.' I would be happy to LIVE in this home looking at the fishtrap, snorkling the reef, and doing yoga every morning for the rest of my life. And ALOHA! to Elona! East Texans and Molokians are very much alike. FRIENDLY people. This is the place to 'find yourself', but please don't rent this property since I would like it available anytime I want to stay here! heheh LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

My wife and I stayed at Dreambeach for 4 wonderful days in Oct 2008. The cottage is small and it is a pretty good ways from town, but it is a wonderful place to relax and explore Molokai. The whole island is very sleepy - the place to go if you want to relax and be calm - maybe the last place in the world to go if you want excitement and "action". The description is right on target. The kitchen is very fully equipt, including spices and some of the stuff it's hard to buy at a rental. Felt very much like the owner stays there herself sometimes. We did met the owner one morning when she was doing street cleanup with a small group of volunteers - nice to see people actively involved in their community. Property was very clean and reasonably maintained. It is quite small, but perfect for two. Billy the cat came and stayed with us and was very friendly. I wondered a little about the "fish pond" - would it be nice, clean etc. It was wonderful - basically a perfectly clean, clear, calm patch of ocean right outside the cottage. Perfect for wading, or splashing, would be fine for even very small children. Molokai has VERY few restaurants, but we did enjoy the pizza place in town. Fifty's type diner, but good food and friendly. We cooked most meals ourselves and had a picnic for every lunch. The cottage had things like lawn chairs and a tarp so it was easy to take the things you need for picnics. One of the best picnics was on the way to Halawa Bay (extreme east end). We parked just where the road turns inland and spent a relaxing hour in the shade of a tree watching the ocean with Maui in the background. It was looking at the picture of that spot that prompted me to write a review 3 years later. All in all Dreambeach is one of the places I dream of returning to. Would recommend it for couples looking to get away from it all.
