As you drive up to the cabin, you will be greeted by the picturesque river and mountain views. Deer, wild turkey, wood chucks, and blue heron abound. Relax on the spacious deck and listen to the soothing sounds of the Rocky Broad River down below and enjoy the lovely mountain views. You may also wish to tube down the river to the waterfalls or swimming hole in the community from the home or just stroll down to the 260 feet of riverfront to fish or wade in the crystal clear, refreshing water.
This brand new log cabin features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are three TVs, which are all DirecTV satellite equipped, three DVD players, two VCRs, and two stereos. There is also Internet access through Bellsouth Fast Access DSL. The home is furnished with all linens from wash cloths to bed sheets. All you need to do is bring yourself, some groceries, and toiletries/ personal items.
The cabin boasts 2200 square feet with two stories, accessed through separate entrances. Upstairs, you will find cathedral ceilings with tongue and groove wood, which create an open and airy feeling. The master bedroom has brand new furniture with DirecTV and a DVD player. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with TV and VCR. There is also a spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen, all with beautiful polished pine wood floors. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, blender, electric can opener, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and cooking utensils. Step outside to the upper deck and view the Rocky Broad River and the mountain views while you enjoy your morning coffee or watch the wildlife in the lovely meadow below and listen to the soothing serenade of the water rushing over the rocks in the Rocky Broad River.
Downstairs, you will find 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full bed, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. Also, you will find a laundry area and a den equipped with a satellite TV, a DVD player, a VCR, a DVD collection, and a dart board. Enjoy the river views from the lower deck or while relaxing in the den area.
There is something to do here for everyone, no matter what time of year, and you don�t even have to leave the community. Riverbend at Lake Lure offers many private amenities which include: two lakes, swimming, tubing, fishing, waterfalls, hiking, picnic pavilion with BBQ grills overlooking the lake, and much more.
Local activities include horseback riding, fishing, and gem mining at Cedar Creek Stables. You may also want to try Lake Lure Adventures, which offers water skiing, wake boarding, wake surfing, boat rentals, fishing, tubing, tours of Lake Lure, and much more. Outside of the community, in the Lake Lure area, you will find three golf courses all within a proximity of 5-15 minutes. Take a short drive to the beach at Lake Lure and you will find a water park with many different activities, such as water slides, etc. As well as many great restaurants for whatever your taste may be. From the Lake Lure Beach, a short 5 minute drive will bring you to Chimney Rock, a quaint town with many shopping boutiques offering fudge, knick-knacks, gifts, and a whole lot more. You may want to go down to the river, which runs right through the town and go rock hopping to take pictures and see the beautiful waterfalls. Chimney Rock is home to Chimney Rock Park, where you can hike up the mountain to an elevation of over 5,000 feet and enjoy the mountain view, or just take the elevator to the top.
The Lake Lure Ingles grocery store is a short 8 minute drive from the cabin. Hendersonville, a bustling, yet quaint little city, offers malls, shopping, and most major chain restaurants. Best of all, this is only a 25 minute drive from the cabin. To get the full effect of the mountain community, you may want to take the 40 minute drive to Asheville, where you will find many eclectic shops and fun restaurants, in addition to the Biltmore Estate and the Historic Grove Park Inn and Spa.
