"Les Cerisiers" is a traditional stone chalet built in 1998/99, and nestled in the high alpine village of Vallorcine, on the river Eau Noire.
Chamonix/Mont Blanc is a short 20 minute drive away, with the new ski station at Vallorcine a few minutes by car or accessible by ski; the new telesiege services Le Tour ski area; the Grands Montets ski area is only ten minutes by car. A 12 km cross-country set track runs through the property at river level. Summer boasts fishing from the property, unlimited hiking and wildlife viewing, and tennis courts are a five minute walk. In July the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland is 1 hour away.
The chalet is cozy, yet modern with heated tile floors in the bathrooms and heated towel racks, high-quality linens, and feather duvets. Furnished with antiques as well as new, the views are southwesterly of surrounding peaks, forests, and open meadow. Pets are NOT allowed, No Smoking.
This chalet offers a unique experience for those desiring a real taste of old France, yet located very close to internationally-renowned resorts.

His love of France and the Alps challenged him to deliver a delectable experience in a small, French provincial village only 20 minutes from the world renowned town of Chamonix in the Haute Savoie. The French Alps and Chamonix Valley have long been our destination abroad.... years of skiing the incredible pistes, the adventures off-piste skiing in winter and hiking in summer are incomparable, and the combination flavor of stunning mountain towns with the French flair for food, wine and company are magnetic. The specific setting of the chalet is in magical Vallorcine, known for its wild alpine flora and fauna.

Imagine waking to the sound of tinkling cowbells in summer ... could it be that Heidi and her grandfather live close by? Indeed! Fabulous hiking out the door, clay tennis courts a 5-minute walk away, evening strolls around the village in summer where it is quiet, yet active... can't think of a nicer place to vacation. In winter, the call of skiing is so close you can hear the whisper of kick-and-glide out the door; ski stations are as close as 3 minutes by car or 10 minutes to the superb station of Les Grands Montets.
