Come and unplug, relax and reconnect with family and friends. This two-story house built in 2007 is on serene and tranquil Ochoco Reservoir. There is a dock for fishing, swimming, sunbathing and simply relaxing. Read a book on our huge deck and BBQ later. The yard is big enough for volleyball or a mean game of horseshoes.
The name of the game is relaxation...set your clock back to the days before X-box and the Internet. Play a game of scrabble and catch up with your kids!! Or come with a group of ladies and do some scrapbooking, watch movies and have an old fashioned slumber party!! Dads and kids can come and fish and have a dedicated Dad's weekend!!
This is also a great place to have a Wedding, Company picnic or other event. There is lots of room for parking and the view is sensational!!

We live in Bend, but wanted a place for the kids to unplug from technology and use their imagination in play and to enjoy being outdoors in a very relaxed way.
Why the Owner Chose Prineville
We love this location because it's only 45 miles from Bend. It is located just 7 miles east of Prineville so we enjoy the convenience of a town so near, but it feels like we are way out in the country. Being right on the water is so fun for throwing rocks, swimming, looking for tadpoles, watching birds, getting out in the row boat or ski boat. We love the huge yard, deck and firepit and enjoy hosting friends because it's so simple to BBQ and play on the lake.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love having time to just read in the hammock, put together a puzzle, or pick up cool rocks. The lake is never crowded even on a holiday weekend. We are on the slow end and we might see a handful of fishing boats over an entire weekend!! Evenings almost always involve a bonfire with s'mores and gazing at the stars. It's so dark out there at night so the stars and moon are especially bright and beautiful.

We stayed here for a week in June/July 2011. Our family came & went as they had time off of work. It worked out beautifully for adults, kids, and dogs. We were very pleased with the entire place. We are planning to come again this summer!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.
Wonderful view home, but watch out for neighbors dogs!

We stayed here with the In-laws who rented this home for their annual family trip and we were mostly impressed with the property. The home was very nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a ton of activities for the kids and adults. The view is so relaxing and wonderful at anytime of the day and the stars are amazing at night. We really enjoyed the outdoor living area on the deck and the outdoor shower. We did however encounter some problems here with the neighbors uncontrolled dogs which attacked one of our small dogs. The DVD player didn't work and most of the outdoor plugs didn't function either, we also couldn't get the kids Electric hummer to work either.
Owner response:Update for summer of 2011...the neighbor with the unruly dog has since moved!! Always a good idea to leash your dog until they get to know the area!! Also, the DVD player has been replaced and the outdoor outlets work again. The Hummer has seen better days but is working at this point!! Please let us know if you encounter any problems while you are at the lake so we have a chance to take care of it for you!! Thanks Sooz Dixon
