If anyone just needs a peaceful getaway, this is it! Beautifully decorated, this cabin had everything we needed including an amazing selection of DVDs. As the country melts under oppressive heat this weekend, we had a nice breeze sitting in the rocking chairs while listening to the Broad River. Benefits to this cabin's location include: easy access off Hwy 9, close proximity to Black Mountain and Chimney Rock & Lake Lure. The owners gave great directions including perfect advice to stop in at Ingle's grocery store in Black Mtn before heading south to the cabin. Although the cabin does sleep 5, I highly recommend it as a peaceful retreat for one or a couple or 2 friends. This was our 26th anniversary and I really appreciate the owners for accommodating us on such short notice.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Why the Owner Chose Black Mountain:
We chose this location for it's beautiful location up the mountain- 11miles of of switch-back road across the Eastern Continental Divide (3028feet) and halfway between the town of Black Mtn and Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Also, Black Mtn is only 16 miles (10 minutes on Rt 40 west) the wonderful city of Asheville!

It is very private but easily accessible to so many places of interest for both adults and children
