We stayed here on 4/19-4/21 for a girls getaway. The condo was very clean and tastefully decorated. I am very particular about the cleanliness and decorating style, and this condo did not disappoint! We built a fire in the fireplace both nights; there was a good supply of firewood on the patio. There are plenty of board games for families. The view of the creek and golf course was beautiful. In the morning we saw squirrels and turkeys. The owner's club was great! It is about a 10 minute drive from the condo. We used the indoor pool due to the time of year. There is a game room and nice tennis courts at the owners club. I would highly recommend this condo to friends and relatives.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We were here for 4 days-3 nites for golf and a wedding, checked in Sept 27, checked out Sept 30. Glorious fall weather every day. These accomodations were perfect, very clean with two large spacious bedrooms & baths, unit comes fully equipped with all you will need in the Kitchen, Living Room and there are plenty of extra towels for a 3+ night stay. Furnishings are top of the line. Did golf at the General [1 mi.] and visited the lodge [2.5 mi.] for wedding festivities, both a short drive but too far to walk. Both the check-in and check-out went smooth. The unit owner is very responsive if there's any question you have, another huge plus. Summary...my highest recommendation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The townhouse was exactly as described-comfortable and clean. Perfect for 3 adults. In addition to golfing, we were able to enjoy the pools at the Owners' Club and just plain old relaxing on the deck. Close enough to Galena to enjoy their fabulous restaurants and shopping. Best food, though, was right at Galena Territory at the Spikes Bar & Grill-great views, excellent service.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I always like to start reviews with a little bit of background info so you get a better honest understanding of my reviews. I am in my thirties and traveling with me was my wife, our 11 month old daughter and my mother and father in law. From when I first inquired about the townhouse Sharon was very responsive and helpful. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every second of it. This is not a 5 star townhouse and based on the very reasonable rate per night I would hope you would not expect that. What you do have is a wonderful cozy townhouse that is clean and has everything you will ever need during your stay. It has 2 nice size bedrooms with queen beds, 2 full baths, a small kitchen, washer & dryer, deck, grill, & fireplace. The only thing missing was WIFI which is available in the clubhouse and rec center if needed. The place is kid friendly after you block off the stairs. Also, included is two passes to the recreation center which was just updated in May of 2012. The new pools (including one kid’s pool) are just great. Overall we could not have been happier with our stay and when we come back to Galena we would stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a lovely, comfortable townhouse for our Mother and Daughter weekend! Beautiful country setting with "golf" in the backyard beyond trees. Furnishings are modern and great floorplan for "togetherness" or privacy. We would love to go back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great, clean, updated, well stocked, good location, great instructions for use of various things (TV, Water heater, key box, etc). For 4 or more people this is the way to go if you want to visit galena for at least 2 nights. THANK YOU!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Townhouse was great. It had everything that we needed. My sister, her fiance, my husband and I stayed here for the weekend while we were planning their wedding in fall. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The downstairs bedroom is considerably colder than the upstairs bedroom. My husband and I choose the downstairs bedroom, and I was freezing all night. My sister said she felt like she was in an oven upstairs. So if you like it cold sleep downstairs, and if you like to be warm and toasty sleep upstairs. I was actually so cold I slept on the couch in the loft the second night. There were plenty of bath towels, 2 rolls of TP so bring more if you need it. We didn't cook much, but it seemed like the kitchen was well stocked. Cute little patio overlooking golf course, but it was too cold to go out there. Overall, great experience. I would definitely recommend staying here. I looked at ALOT of rentals in Galena because I am pricing places for the wedding. This was the best priced rental for 2 bedrooms for a 2 night stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had such a wonderful experience in this townhome! It was perfect for the 4 of us! Very cozy and felt just like home! We will definitely be back, even thinking of making this an annual getaway! Sharon made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated that! I would recommend it to all who are in need a relaxing and quiet getaway!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

9/2/07 - The townhouse was cozy and in a secluded area. Your recommendation of golfing The General at Eagle Ridge was perfect. I have stayed at this townhouse a couple of times.Owner response: I think what he means is a quiet location.
