This is a beach-front studio condominium located in Condominios Pilar in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. The condo has just been completely gutted and remodeled and is absolutely darling! Everything is brand new - a little mexican casita!
There is a large bathroom/dressing area, a huge kitchen, and a large living area with 2 very nice fold-down futon couches. Back wall is all glass and opens onto a covered patio that faces the beach. 20 yards of beautiful green grass separate you from the beach. Two kayaks are included in the rental. We prefer weekly or long term renters. Rental fees are as follows:
Nightly: $50.00
Weekly: $250.00
Monthly: $1000.00
Cleaning Fee: $50.00
Longer rental prices are negotiable.
This is a great deal. Daily rental for 2 sea kayaks would cost more than our daily condo rental fee!

Why the Owner Chose San Carlos
San Carlos is a wonderful, low-key vacation destination. It is a beautiful small town with 2 lovely long beaches. It is quiet, safe, and one of our favorite places in Mexico. It is located about 3.5 hours south of Nogales. The road down in 4 lane and very safe.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Condominios PIlar is located on San Francisco Beach, about 2 miles before you reach town. You can walk to town on the beach. The bay is full of dolphin. It is a morning ritual to sea kayak with them as they swim by.

I just wanted to thank the owner for letting us stay in their wonderful condo. It was so relaxing that we never wanted to leave. We drove down from Tucson and we felt perfectly SAFE at all times during our drive and stay. We did not use the kayaks that came w/ the rental but hope to next time. This visit we just wanted to be lazy and soak up the sun and listen to the calming sound of the sea.The condo itself was fantastic. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more. It was immaculately clean too! Alejandro (a local vendor) came by every day w/ wonderfully fresh fish, shrimp and lobster as well as any fruit or vegetables you might need. If he did not have it he would arrange to bring it the next day. You, don't even need to leave the property if that is your desire, but you miss out on the friendly locals and some of the most beautiful views you could hope for. The photos really don't do it justice compared to seeing it first hand. Beautiful view from the patio as well as the beach. The dolphin did a spectacular swim by during an unbelieveable sunset on our last evening. PARADISE ! ! As you can tell, I cannot say enough to good things to describe our visit. We feel like we have found a bit of paradise that we never want to lose. We hope to go down at least 3 times a year. Thanks again for everything !

Me and my husband went to San Carlos for the first time in April 2010. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! Pilar has an old world charm and the condo was absolutely perfect. My bed at home isn't as good as the futons when pulled out! It was heavenly! We really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Watch for Alejandro - he is the guy that comes around selling food - home made taco's, fresh produce and the best was the fresh squeezed orange juice & grapefruit juice. The beach is the best in San Carlos and is not crowded. There was only one vendor that we saw & his wife. They were great! It was nice not being hounded by vendors like the big resort areas! Overall, this condo has a great view, lovely furnishing and the bathroom is awesome! We would definatley recommend this condo! Thanks for the stay...it was a wonderful time and we will be back!!
