Located 12 miles off the coast of Rhode Island, Block Island has been called "one of the last great places" by the Nature Conservancy. To get here, you must arrive by boat or plane. The Island is shaped like a pork chop and it is 7 miles long and three miles wide at it’s thickest point. The Rendezvous House is centrally located so nothing is very far from home.
The house features an open living room, dining room, and a well-stocked kitchen area perfect for entertaining guests. The dining table seats 10 and the kitchen sports a breakfast bar. The house sleeps up to 15 people, spread out amongst the 4 bedrooms. With 2 full baths, an outdoor shower, and a large laundry area, no one should have trouble bumping into each other! Outside, there is a wrap-around deck for additional "living space" and 360-degrees of beautiful views.
On Block Island, you can enjoy participating in a wide variety of activities or lay back and enjoy the views. Water fun includes fishing, boating, and swimming in the ocean or 350 ponds located throughout the island. On land, you can bike, hike, scoot around on a moped, bird-watch, or relax by shopping and dining in town.

Why the Owner Chose Block Island
We built our home in this location because our lot abuts a large tract of Nature Conservancy fields and woods. It also has a nice view of Crescent beach and the bluffs beyond.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy walking the nature trails that cross our land and go all the way to Rodman Hollow and the beach at Black Rock. We also love to sit at the beach with our good friends until long after most of the beach goers have left.

The house is very good for lots of kids who can stay upstairs in the two bedrooms with innumerable beds while adults are noise free downstairs. Plenty of room in kitchen, dining and living area. Has all the necessities covered. Love the view at night of the Newport Bridge.. Town less than 10 minutes away and favorite beach less than 15. We really enjoyed dining outside at the Spring House. Owners easy to work with and daughter local in summer. As long as you don't take our week, I recommend it!

Where do we begin?! For the second year in a row we had a fabulous time staying at the Rendezvous House. The house is extremely comfortable, clean, and well equipped with anything you should need. With its large open kitchen/living/deck area you never feel crowded plus the enclosed outdoor shower is the best! The owners are absolutely wonderful to deal with and are extremely attentive/helpful through the entire rental process. Highly recommend this property--we had a great time and will be back!!

"Rendezvous House" proved to be the perfect place for our extended family to gather after exploring this wonderful island. It had ample room & amenities for all to relax, in a quiet, private setting. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and the games and activities available for the younger crowd!

Just spent the weekend at this wonderful house. It was immaculate and well kept with lots of spacious room. The view out the large picture window in the living room made us feel as though we were out in the middle of no where...it was incredibly peaceful! The owners were easy to work with throughout the entire rental process. We will return next year!
