Rick, A note to let you know that we really enjoyed the stay at Gold Canyon. When compared to the other rentals we have booked via VRBO over the past decade it ranked near the top. It is the first kitchen that I have encountered complete with all the accouterments necessary to fix a decent meal...and I thank you profusely! (I always bring my own skillets and knives with me...as well as a knife sharpener...so your non-serrated knives have been honed a bit as a thank-you for supplying more than the bare necessities). The outside grill was also a pleasant surprise...clean and a joy to use. The washing machine selection knob broke off shortly after our arrival but we located one on the internet and were able to replace it. I put two bags of salt in the softener and it was at level three when we left so all should be well there. We enjoyed the golf ball hunts after returning from a day away from the domicile...but were chagrined to find that those who could play such a fine course were loathe to spend commensurate dollars for quality golf balls. I believe our final count of errant missiles was 34 for the month...weekends were especially good. You have friendly neighbors...and your front bush/tree next to the driveway is home to 20+ quail who return each evening, usually in pairs, to do an eventide dance before making the jump into the branches...an event to enjoy from the front entry way. Barbara is a birder...so this really was special. So we thank you for sharing! We would be interested in a return visit. We do know that you have renters that are usually there from December through March, but if the unit became available for March of next year we would like to be informed. If that is not possible, April would also be a consideration. Please advise as to the April rental fee or a combination of a March/April lease. This home is very comfortable,warm and quite,with spectacular views,lots of wild life to look at,with severe sun all the time.The house has all the extras you need to make it fell like home.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

We are very excited about our second home in Arizona. As you may imagine living in Washington during the dreary days of Winter and Spring makes you dream of Sunshine. Now we have a second home in the sun we can share with others who enjoy a little sunshine in the middle of a cold, wet winter. About the owner: Rick and Kellie Ham live most of the year in Washington with their three kids. However they love the Arizona sun and love having another home there. We spend most of our time chasing our kids to all of their functions (sports, school, etc.)
Why the Owner Chose Gold Canyon:
This is a great area because of its incredible view of the Superstition Mountains, and great golf courses surrounding the 55+ community. It is only 35 miles from downtown Phoenix. Did I mention...we love the sun, especially during the winter months.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This unit has access to an awesome community center with swimming pool, hot tubs, weight rooms, etc. In addition, the house has a built in putting and chipping green in the back yard, along with a built in BBQ on the patio for entertaining. The living area has a 60+ inch HDTV for relaxing inside. Great area, close to golf with great views.
