"Ma Bet" and "Big Daddy", the parents of 6 boys, decided they wanted to build a home that was the dream place for their 13 grandchildren. So they put it in the most wonderful mountains, in the most beautiful world class resort(Sapphire Lakes), nearby every mountain hike you could dream of, with limitless nature activities. They made it very accessible to a plethora of amenities, yet tucked it away in the woods.
Then they made sure that on those wonderful rainy mountain days, there was plenty to do inside! So they made an entire downstairs where the kids could go, while the rest of us could settle in by the fire, or go out on Ma Bet's giant front porch and play guitars and fiddles. And weren't they clever to put their bedroom on the main floor, while putting the entire rest of the crew upstairs on the third floor and - well, wherever else they would fit!?
Perhaps the best thing is that their spirit is so alive in these walls - that have seen a million hugs and another million smiles - that you might just feel it as soon as you walk in the kitchen door. Our belief and hope is that anyone who stays in our special place will go away a little happier than when they arrived.
