Little Pine Knot is a charming, rustic cabin located in the beautiful wooded mountains of western North Carolina. The living room is comfortably furnished with leather seating and stained glass lamps, with a handmade quilt and embroideries decorating the walls. A gas fireplace ringed with river rocks and bookshelves complete the room. There are large windows bringing in lots of light, and vaulted ceilings in the living room and bedroom. The bedroom has Bassett furniture, and the queen bed has Egyptian cotton sheets. There are plenty of places to put suitcases. The cheery bath comes equipped with a hair dryer and has a stained glass window. The kitchen has full sized appliances, Revere ware pots, some baking pans, coffemaker, blender, toaster, and crockpot.
The home has a rocking chair front porch with porch swing, and looks into the mountains. The property is bordered by a bold stream with crawdads and 5-inch trout. The stream has long, low rock steps leading down to the wading area, a perfect place to dabble your feet on a hot day. Alongside the stream is another rustic structure "Singing Wood", which has a queen bed and electricity, but no plumbing or air-conditioning. It sleeps two. "Singing Wood" is a gorgeous, private retreat. Completely handmade, "Singing Wood" feels like standing inside a sculpture. It has locust and mountain laurel railings on its porch, and a bark covered door with stained glass window. "Singing Wood" was built using recycled materials.
