My family of 8 stayed a blissful week at this beautiful home. Everything was exactly as described. We appreciated that each of the large bedrooms were on their own level, giving everyone a lot of space and privacy. The property was very clean and well maintained. We spent a lot of time at the Marriott pool, just a short walk from the property. Steve was extremely helpful, friendly and prompt in answering all of our questions. Thank you, Steve! You helped make our family vacation one we will all happily remember!We definitely recommend this property!

This property is breathtaking. As with other reviews, the description and pictures cannot do it justice. Everything is first class and it is easy to see why people return to this beautiful home. From the stunning views, to the convenient location, and peaceful surroundings, it reflects everything aloha. The central location is perfect for families/large parties as it is convenient to all things Kauai. The owner is wonderful to work with and could not be more helpful and accommodating. During a birthday celebration, we hired a local chef to prepare our dinner - it was magical. The food was amazing, sunset stunning; that and with all of the comforts of home. I will certainly return to this beautiful piece of paradise.

Great holiday escape

We (6 adults) spent 10 days at this awesome condo over Christmas 2011. It is exactly as described, and really well located for exploring the rest of Kauai - best done with a rental car. We had plenty of space so that everyone could enjoy being together, but also have privacy when they wanted it. The two bedrooms downstairs are very spacious and private, with big bathrooms, lots of closet space, huge views, and lanais. We also used the loft area above the kitchen as a 3rd bedroom and that worked out well. The sofa bed was quite comfortable & the loft has its own bath with shower. The beach is literally downstairs and nice for lounging or swimming. You can rent paddleboards and other gear right there. We really appreciated having the space and full facilities of a condo, with all of the conveniences of the hotel/restaurants/bars right there. This is a great place - and the central location worked really well for us. We hope to return soon!

The condo was exactly as advertised, and was every bit as good as we'd hoped. The location was convenient to all of our activities, and the view from the top of the cliff is great. When we weren't enjoying the comfort & views of the condo, we spent a good amount of time at the Marriott resort using the fitness center, pool and beach. Nice place, and easy to get to. There are also a number of restaurants & shops within walking diatance. The condo is well furnished & equipped, and the three couples were very confortable during our stay. The owner provided all of the information needed to access & "use" the condo, and was easy to contact when we had questions. We'd certainly consider staying here again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great condo.

We were fortunate to have stayed here with our two teenage children. Every moring we woke to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach. The condo was just as advertised: FABULOUS! We so enjoyed the lovely view while having breakfast and evening cocktails on deck. With everyone having enough space to spread out and have their privacy, it truly felt like home. Steve was great about giving us suggestions on where to eat and places to visit. What a wonderful place to enjoy a family vacation! We hope to visit again.

Amazing Home!

Just got home from a five day stay at this luxury home. As beautiful as the pictures are, they don't do the house justice - I loved it! All the furnishings in this home are top notch. It was hard to leave this home to do anything. I just wanted to sit on the lanai all day long! And it's just a short walk and elevator ride to the Marriot beach and amenities. I can't wait to stay here again!

Great place. Location Location Location Quiet enough to sleep with hugh bedroom doors open to the sound of the water. Do use the pool at the Marriot which is just far enough away to still be close. The pool there is great and kids can do the beach thing while you can have a Margarita at the bar. Bedrooms separate enough if kids are with you. Lots of room. Very Nice

Amazing Condo!

This was our first time to Kauai and we picked the perfect place to stay. This condo is top notch in every way! The view from this condo is unbelievable! Everything is very modern and up to date. This is by far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. Plus, it was nice to have access to the marriott pool and fitness room which is within walking distance. Steve was very helpful with any questions and responded quickly. We will definitely recommend this to family and friends!

Beautiful Week in Kauai

We spent a full week at the Hali Pali Kai this past October and it was really amazing. Just a short walk from the beach at the Marriott, the location was perfect for a quiet week spent lounging at the pool or on the beaches. The view from the lani was breathtaking as well. The location is probably the best in Lihue, which makes it a really convenient spot if you want to get out and explore the rest of the island as well.

My friends and I stayed at Steve's property earlier this fall and were very pleased to see the website photos were exactly what we found when we entered the front door. The entire place is well furnished, modern, and extremely well kept. It's the perfect size for a family or group of friends and provides plenty of common and private spaces to suit your every mood. Steve was a breeze to work with and very accomodating. He ensured every detail of our stay was ready and was flexible as we finalized last-minute travel plans. Doing business with him was clear and carefree throughout the entire process. I would recommend this property to anyone who asked!

Terrific home away from home

My family of 4 stayed in this most beautiful and well-appointed home in late August to early September 2010. Words are inadequate to describe how much our vacation was enriched by these accomodations. The very spacious home allowed us to spend time together and also allowed for personal space. Very importantly for us, the home was immaculate. The gourmet kitchen was also of great import for a family of cooks - there was not a single tool/appliance that was wanting. Being able to shop for fresh fruit and vegetables at the Sunshine Market added greatly to the culinary experience. To fall asleep at night with the sounds of waters of the beautiful Kalapaki Bay lapping right below our bedrooms was soothing and then to awake to see the sun glistening on the Bay, with surfers/swimmers aplenty, was simply glorious. The memories of this view remain vivid in our minds. We had many meals on the lanai outside the great room. What splendid times we had. The additional cost of the Marriott facilities were also well worth it. Steve was very lovely to do business with. He was most responsive to any questions or concerns we had. It was clear we were dealing with an honorable person. This made living in his home for the time we did, even more special.

This place is "The Bomb!" to put it in our teenagers' words! Not only did they feel that way, so did my husband and I. The location is perfect. Incredible views, close to activities and quiet when you want it to be. Having a true working kitchen and laundry room was a necessity for us and each area was up to our standards and beyond. Our kids are old enough to be independent and it was great that they could venture down to the Marriot beach and we could watch them surf from the balcony! We hosted friends for a gourmet dinner prepared by a local chef in the kitchen while we enjoyed the "show"! What an exceptional memory~

I have been traveling to Kauai for more than 30 years. Even though we have a family home on Kauai we needed more space because of a family reunion. We chose Hale Pali Kai. We rented this home overlooking Kalapaki Bay and we were immediately impressed with all that it has to offer. The home has unparalleled views from all three levels. The kitchen is a masterpiece, well designed for entertaining with high-end Bosch appliances. To be honest there were times I simply did not want to leave the home during the day. The owner Steve is fantastic and responsive to your needs. As part of your stay you will enjoy all that the Marriott has to offer including the largest hotel pool in the Hawaiian Islands and a wonderful exercise facility. If you enjoy golf you will also enjoy the discount associated with staying at Hale Pali Kai. Enjoy your stay here as my family did. There is no doubt that I will refer this property to friends and associates and I look forward to returning and staying at Hale Pali Kai. Steve again, thanks for everything.

Hands down the best trip we have been on ever. Four kids and me were blown away by the beauty, location and accomodations provided to us. Fabulous! We had an amazing time at this upscale,well-appointed home perched on top of a cliff overlooking the breathtaking Kalapaki bay. It was perfectly fitted for our family of five, giving us plenty of space and privacy for both 3 small children and 2 adults. It's an easy walk down to the beach, which our kids loved for boogie boarding, as well as to the Mariott grounds, which provided us with a refreshing pool to cool off in after a day at the beach. Lihue offers a great central location, allowing an easy drive to both Poipu and the north side of the island. If you're thinking of staying at a hotel, especially if you are a family, think again....you can't beat this set up or the value. Can't wait to visit again.

What a wonderful surprise awaited us as we entered Hale Pali Kai... Truly an amazing architectural gem that makes you feel like royalty. The lay out of the home was perfect for our family. Each bedroom area was extremely well-appointed and private with luxurious bathrooms in each. The location perched on a cliff was ideal as was Hale Pali Kai proximity to restaurants, activities, etc. The owners have done a magnificent job creating one of the most beautiful vacation homes we ever rented. Picture yourself in the pages of Architectural Digest, seated in the great room of this home. Now imagine the words..."Kauai's Ocean Front Home of the year" as the headline. We stayed at this stunning home in February 2009, and felt we were privileged to do so. This is not a typical rental home. This is the place to rent, only if you demand the top of the line of everything. The owners could have scrimped on appliances, as most rentals do, but they did not. Bosch dishwasher, Bosch washer and dryer, refrigerator and coffee makers are just a few of the quality upgrades that you will find here. Designer choices that you would have in your own custom estate home. Every luxury was thought of, including the pot filling faucet over the stove top. Ocean front home? How about on top of the ocean! It's like being on a cruise ship...without the room moving around! Well planned, well thought out designs of massive window- like doors to view the beauty that is Kauai, from every room. With these mammoth sized sliding glass door/windows open, your olfactory senses go wild with the perfumed air of Kauai as well as the fresh ocean breezes. We go to Kauai about twice a year, and have stayed at the Grand Hyatt and other private homes in Poipu, as well as the Westin Resort and a private home in Princeville, and must say that my husband and I greatly prefer staying here, including the location of this property. Lihue is such a perfect central spot. And after the long flight to Kauai, it's fantastic to only have to drive 5 minutes to get "home". The view of Nawilliwilli harbor with the ever changing hues of the captivating topography, and watching the cruise ships sail into port is what dreams are made of. This if the rental home for you, if you deserve the very best. The thick concrete construction between levels, provides total silence within the walls of the home. Yet, the crashing waves below, soothe your tired soul.,and gently whisper you to sleep at night. The indoor paradise of Hale Pali Kai, mirrors the slice of heaven that is Kauai. Have I said too much? What a wonderful experience from the moment we walked through the door into this AMAZING home! Our group of 7 has been on many wonderful vacations over the years... and have stayed in tremendous homes. I must say, this is one of the best! It is spacious, luxurious and offers the best amenities that I could imagine. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone interested in a luxurious stay in the southern part of Kauai. A bonus was the "pass" available to the Mariott. We were able to take full advantage of a beach hotel while staying in a totally separate location (within easy walking distance). If we ever make it back to the island, this is where we will stay! I have already passed along my recommendation to several friends!

Beautiful, modern and the perfect way to become engulfed in the Hawaiian experience. Hale Pali Kai is much more than part of a duplex. It is a vacation retreat that sets a standard the Ritz hopes to achieve. Our family from on and off the island loved its central location, and access to the Marriott facilities, beach and golf. The two master suites are huge and beautifully appointed. The loft bedroom even exceeded our expectations since it was a full private suite on its own. Stay here and to love Kauai!

Hale Pali Kai is first rate. The house is everything advertised and more. The home is adjacent to the Marriott Resort and for a small fee you have full access to all of the amenities of the Marriott Resort. The pictures on the web page do not fully describe how dramatically beautiful the home is and how spectacular the views are. The owner makes renting the house very easy and he quickly responds to all questions. We highly recommend Hale Pali Kai, you will not regret staying at the house and will not want to leave.

I had the priviledge to stay at this beautiful house and for an 11 yr. old girl It felt like I was in a caslte! The view is magnificent over looking the mountains & Kalapaki Bay. I enjoyed watching sea turtles swimming down below off the lanai and watching the surfers, paddle boarders ride the waves and boats comming into the harbor. I even went out there and cought some waves myself. The beach is great and the pool at the Marriott is a lot of fun! My mom and I spent a lot of time on the lanai watching the colorful sunsets, reading and relaxing. Hale Pali Kai is beautiful, very roomy and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

FAB-U-LOUS! My wife and I stayed at this beautiful Pali Kai home for a week and loved every minute of it. Views, views, and more views. The great room, master and guest room all overlook Nawiliwili bay, Kalapaki beach and the Marriott. The modern finishes are top notch and the bed was ultra comfortable. When we weren't sitting on the lanai in awe, we enjoyed stepping over to Kawai Lagoons Golf Course for a round (with a healthy green fee discount as a Pali Kai guest), working out and swimming at the Marriott (another super guest 'perk') and chilling on the beach (p.s. - it's kinda fun to be on the beach and hear people say, "I wonder who stays in those homes on the bluff, wow!"). Everything was in walking distance: Marriott dining, ABC grocery and the fun 'town' bars and restaurants just behind the Marriott, but be sure to get back to the lanai for sunset and a glass of wine. The owner has a complete and friendly user guide and the house has all the amenities one could hope for on a vacation. I can't over emphasize how great it is to have access to the Marriott's facilities. There is also a complimentary Marriott shuttle 'to' and 'from' the airport which is great if you don't rent a car. Going to Kauai? This is THE place. Mahalo!

You know as soon as you walk through the front door it was going to be magnificent. Beleive me I was not let down. The appointments were exceptional, from the granite tops,applinaces, flatscreens down to the washer and dryer. The two master suites were more than spacious.. not to mention the master baths with the ceiling shower heads oversized tubs and the option, in both masters, of showering and gazing through the master out the sliding doors to the water. Watch the sun set at night and the sea turtles play in the bay below your patio. The sound and visual systems are state of the art. You want for nothing. Bring food, drink a bathing suit---leave your flip flops at the door... YOU ARE IN PARADISE!

Hale Pali Kai represents the true meaning of what Kaua’i really is. The beautiful views and amazing floor plan can be found nowhere else on the island. Hale Pali Kai is a place that Visitors and Kama’aina alike can come to appreciate the island in its entire splendor. This truly special place offers a sanctuary on the Cliffside overlooking a gorgeous sweeping bay that is only an elevator ride away. As an island native staying at the Hale Pali Kai helped me renew my sense of appreciation for this beautiful place I call home. This home is worth every penny as you enter through the front door you realize that you have been transcended from a regular island experience to one that will lead you to the create the memories that will surely last a lifetime. The entrance to this home gives no clue to what is beyond that door. This is a beautiful, impeccably designed and furnished home in one of Kauai's premier locations. Each of the three levels with lanai provides the same gorgeous view of the bay, the beach, and the nearby Marriott resort. Although our group that stayed here are experienced travelers, we all spent 20 minutes looking around and saying wow! For a small fee, you have access to the Marriott facilities nearby. The Kauai Lagoons golf course is within walking distance. This is a first class property and I highly recommend it!

The house is spectacular! The location, the appointments and view make this property at least a 5 1/2 star rating. If you are coming to Kauai for that special trip, this is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed.
