My husband and I have completed our second visit to Stonebridge. We were here last year over Valentines Day and now again the week of February 20th. This home is so comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished! Every room has a view with expansive windows from floor to ceiling. Each room is beautifully appointed with lovely furnishings. You could be in one room and someone else in the other and have complete privacy. Yet, there are many places we could meet with our friends for meals, cocktails and sharing of our day around the many fireplaces in most rooms. The kitchen is wonderfully complete with every amenity. At first I was a little intimidated by the state of the art appliances but what won my heart were the discrete labels strategically placed at areas to easily understand the operation and location of of everything! It's also so easy to get around the town. The shuttle service into Mountain Village is convenient and free and the gondolas make it simple and fun to make your way to ski areas, restaurants and the downtown of Telluride. I highly recommend this magnificent home to rent for your vacation . You won't believe how magnificent it is!!

My stay at Stonebridge Property was excellent. I appreciated all the helpful information and our trip/stay went very smoothly. We actually have spent quite a bit of time in Telluride so we are familiar with the area and staying in mountain village is really convenient in the summer and winter. The home is not either so far up on the mountain roads that it makes driving in winter difficult or not in the trees that make it seem very dark and cold. The views from the home were spectacular and since we stayed in the winter is was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Many of the lights in the home come on with timers which make it very warm feeling. There are driveway lights and lots of Christmas trees lit making it look very festive. The home was very large I believe it was approx 10,000 square feet and it was perfect for the several families in our party. The two kitchens were great, even though the main kitchen is very large and easy for a group to cook in with plenty of granite counter space and all the details. There was even a waffle maker. This home is definitely not a stripped home that one can typically find on rental websites. The kitchen table, the dining room table and the kitchen bar, family room bar and great room bar made it easy for all of our party to eat seated. The great room was very grand and made one feel as if we were in an elegant hotel. Fireplaces everywhere really added a warming touch along with the heated floors. We happened to be there during a cold spell in the winter and we were quite comfortable even with the amount of glass windows and glass skylights. The garage is heated so it was convenient to unload out of and into our ski gear. We never had to drive anywhere as the dial a ride shuttle service takes no more than 10 minutes to arrive and it takes 2 minutes to get to the ski core and gondola. We did ski down one day down the road off the galloping goose run into the home, but there was a lot of snow and it worked great! I would recommend this home, it was represented well and we were actually quite pleased with the accommodations.

Beyond My Wildest Dreams...Most Amazing Vacation Home Ever!

After our perfect stay here last summer, we couldn't wait to return to experience this magnificent home in the winter season as well, and our stay was nothing short of spectacular! We were thrilled to arrive when, after our road trip, we were captivated by the sight of this gorgeous home up on the hill, brilliantly lit, welcoming us as a beacon in the night. That awe inspiring moment was only the beginning of the most delightful vacation experience we've ever had, and we owe it all to these majestic accommodations. This home is better than a 5-star resort. The architecture, decor, and views are stunning, unrivaled by any other locations we've ever seen. The accommodations are an incredible combination of elegance, warmth, and extreme comfort. The property owners thought of every posssible amenity we could possibly need or imagine. Everything is well labeled and operating instructions are easy to find and understand! But the best part is that unlike hotels/resorts, this is completely private. No strangers to contend with...just your own family and/or friends you choose to vacation with. This vacation home combines the best part of being on vacation with the privacy and convenience of being in the comfort of your own home. Stay in and cook a fabulous family dinner together or go out to downtown Telluride for a night on the town, you can really have it all! All that Telluride has to offer is easily accesible from this fabulous vacation home! We can't wait to to come back!

I was extremely pleased that the pictures on the website of this home were very accurate. Actually the home is even better decorated in person. It is quite stunning and makes you feel as if you are driving up to a hotel not a home! There are actually 5 floors to this home and the structural detail is amazing. From the top lookout tower with a telescope down to the garage and apartment level you will experience luxury with and old west log flair. Each of our 6 couples had their own privacy, however one did stay in twin beds. The rest of the beds, bedding, linens etc were very clean, along with the home in general. We did rank each couple as to what they paid and since we did the effort in finding the home we had the pleasure of staying in the Master suite. The Jacuzzi tub and steam shower, the balcony and fireplace with a loft were outstanding. The great room was absolutely perfect for our party, with the pool table and bar that overlooks stunning mountain views. It is very light and warm and we appreciated the homeowners attention to detail. Everything that one needed to stay, including, wine glasses, martini glasses, barware, china, etc was all available for our use. We were very grateful for the instruction manual as it was very helpful in figuring out how to work the televisions, VCR/DVD. We enjoyed the extensive DVD’s. They had also labeled where the lights and garbage disposals were which was very convenient. The home is located on the mountain and we used the dial a ride and found that we did not need to even drive our car to visit the town of Telluride. The dial a ride would pick us up and take us to the Market gondola area and we then could take a beautiful gondola ride with views to Utah down to the small mining town of Telluride. We enjoyed many fine restaurants our favorite being Allreds at 10,000 feet on top of the gondola ride. We would definitely stay here and again and look forward to our next trip!

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying at this VRBO home. The homeowner made is very convenient in the rental process with information and access. We appreciated the homeowners manual and all the detail as a home of this magnitude needs explanation. There is everything imaginable for enjoyment, hot tub, dry sauna, steam shower, many televisions, all the conveniences in the kitchen including a convection oven and Viking stove, BBQ, beautiful dining area with fine china and bar glassware etc. The home was stocked with basics which we appreciated. As we drove into Mountain village we were amazed at the site of the property. It sits on 4 acres with beautiful aspen and pine trees. At night the home is very well lit and really is a showpiece. In the summer there is a gorgeous green lawn and waterfall that empties into a pond on the property. As you enter the home it is very grand with large double doors and a great room with 40 foot glass windows that looks over Wilson mountain and the San Juans. The views from the home are spectacular. There is much light and not a dark cabin feel whatsoever as there are windows and skylights everywhere. The Master and guest bedroom suites are fabulous with fireplaces and balconies. There is a completely separate apartment unit that was great for kids with a separate dining and kitchen area and family room with large television etc. All in all our stay was great and we would recommend this home and stay here again should we visit Telluride again.

Hmmmm, where to start. Lots of rules, many of which are necessary reminders -- the house IS complex. However.... some rules are conflicting and ALL are posted everywhere to the point of tackiness. Our guests treated the house like a palace despite the petty reminders everywhere, and we were still dinged in the end. The house is on an impressive lot and commands excellent views of the mountains. However, it is not close to the Village or Mountain Station, so be willing to wait for Dial-a-Ride if you want a ride to the ski area. To the owner's credit, they do not advertise that their home is ski-in/ski-out. Parts of the house were very, very luxurious. Other less luxurious parts included bedrooms in the caretaker's apartment and a basement bedroom with no windows. Use caution if vacationing with multiple couples because of the disparity in accommodation quality, or be willing to rotate bedrooms every few days. The master suite is very beautiful and has a stunning master bath. The steam shower is one of the highlights of the house, and so is the view from the whirlpool tub for two. Other bedrooms in the main part of the house are also very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with a full complement of high end cookware, good knives, plenty of plates and glasses, large refrigerator, etc. BBQ is just outside the kitchen on the way to the hot tub. Big screen TV in the family room and smaller TVs elsewhere are a bit dated but functional. Pool table, bar and sitting area in the great room provide for lots of entertainment adaptability, although the great room is hard to use in the strong afternoon sun and there are conflicting rules about using the blinds. If that sounds ridiculous, we thought so, too. Of significance, and worth mentioning, the power company cut the electricity to the house during our stay for nonpayment. Luckily, our personal negotiations with the technician (before our call to the owners) saved us from a dark night in the cold with potential frozen pipes and major disaster for the owners. WTF? While we will not rent here again, the property may suit your needs fine. Beware of your security deposit (we were charged $240 for a defective window shade that we carefully lowered and couldn't raise.) Enjoy your stay, but rent with caution.
Owner response:We are a little stunned that this tenant waited almost a year to respond with a review. Almost vengeful, as he was charged with breaking a blind (very minimal charge). We did not charge him for the other damage that was done to the home and feel badly that he felt it was tacky the labels of lights and directions/instructions that most others do appreciate. We also wanted to address the difference of level in the bedrooms. We had explained that clearly to the tenant and are surprised that he now complains. As in any hotel there are different levels of rooms and the Master and guest suites are so over the top that we can only assume he expected every bedroom to be at the same level. We do not agree that the home is not close to Mountain village. It is 2 minutes by car and our address is Mountain Village, Telluride Colorado. The dial a ride is very convenient. With regards to the electricity incident, a check was delayed in the mail and the electricity company came out to check on the situation. Several of our neighbors have had the same situations, it is common in a small town with a small town electrical company, but we are sorry for any inconvenience. The power was never cut. Again we feel badly that this guest had some issues but he is one of few. We really make all effort to make sure the stay is enjoyable.
