This condo has an Incredible View of the Ocean in West Maui

We were two couples with 2 18 month old boys that stayed in this condo in March 2012. The weather left something to be desired that week and we were so greatful for this wonderful getaway on the ocean. We didn't need to leave the apartment to enjoy Maui! There were whales breeching on the horizon and sea turtles swimming beneath the deck. It just doesn't get much better than that! The condo came equipt with everything we needed. We found the unit to be fairly clean and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the third bedroom. A few things I wished I'd have realized. People say the water outside is loud. I grew up on an island in Canada. I've slept several times on a boat and near the ocean. I have never heard waves like this. I didn't feel we needed the airconditioning if the windows were open but with the windows open those waves woke me out of dead sleep. I wished i'd brought some earplugs. Keep in mind this is a minor thing that anyone staying RIGHT on the beach would need to endure and maybe only in the winter months when West Maui can get some big waves. I found that the upstairs bedrooms were a lot quieter than the main level bedroom and I wouldn't think you would need earplugs up there. There were many updates in the condo but the kitchen and bathrooms are a bit dated. We found it was completely fine for what we were after but if you want sparkling granite you might hold out for an update. The last thing I wished I had known is none of the bedrooms have complete walls. This was a bit of an issue with little kids. Both kids were sleeping in bedrooms upstairs and though there is a wall between, to encourage airflow upstairs, the wall doesn't go right up to the ceiling. This limits the privacy a bit and the boys had a habit of waking each other up. The downstairs bedroom is cornered off with sliding doors which aren't particularly sound proof either. Overall this is a modest, clean condo with a killer view you don't find in this price point. The propery management company left us a beautiful basket of goodies and the best toasted coconut coffee. We have since ordered some on ebay - Thank you!! Owner was great to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

Spent Thanksgiving week here with 4 adults and 1 child. Older unit but very clean and comfortable. The beach is right under the Lanai, and while there are rocky areas, the beach itself is very nice and the ocean is great for splashing around, even light snorkling. We enjoyed the sea turtles every day and the pool was great. Easy walk to Farmers Market, coffee shop, pizza parlor, two take-out restaurants (Okazuya was best, but not quite advertised "world famous). A couple of blocks farther, but still walking distance, is ABC store with almost any supplies you need (for a price), and the Time supermarket....much better and less crowded than Safeway. Would love to stay here again. Lots of beach toys and plenty of towels. Fourth floor location was great for the view of Molokai and Lanai....even if the elevator was a little slow.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Excellent Maui Condo!

We just returned from our weekend at this beautiful 3 bedrrom condo. It's beautifully decorated, and to get 3 bedrooms on the ocean is wonderful!! This condo had everything you could possible want or need. We did all of our cooking at the condo, and BBQ. The beds were comfortable, the breeze coming in from the ocean was very cooling, and the view was incredible. Our favorite thing was watching the turtles from our lanai.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
