Location: Craftsbury Common, Vermont, USA (2 mi to Craftsbury Outdoo Cntr, 1/2 hr to Stowe, Burke & Jay)
Accommodations: Private Farm Home, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 2-4)
Craftsbury is a picture-book village in the Northeast Kingdom set in the high meadow 'cow country' of the Black River Valley (the river flows northward to Lake Memphremagog). This house has recently been remodeled. It is true and tight and warm (hot water zoned heat).
There are great views from its location atop 20 acres of meadow. Main BR(new)has dressing room & marble bath w/ stall shower. Second BR (& BA) a bit more rustic. Well-appointed K & dining Rm, small den & pwdr rm. LR has great views. The sun pours in from all angles.
It is offered only for the winter season, i.e., from Nov 1 until April 30. We prefer one tenant for the entire season (rent reflects this) or, alternately, for one or more calendar months. This is not a house for groups or kids, though two energetic couples might share it. Much of its natural beauty (gardens and a profusion of herbaceous plants) lies hidden in snow during the winter, but the frosty landscape, the crisp air, the availability of trekking, and the mountain views are happy compensations.
Available only from November 01, 2008 to April 30, 2009
We prefer one tenant for the all 6 months but will rent by month.
