This is the place where you get away from it all. Once you start the drive through Matlacha (where there's a lot of colorful local shops & once a month is Art night on the island) you will feel like your vacation has started. The island is 18 miles long and has 1 major stop sign. If you go right you're headed to Bokeelia, if you go left to St. James City. It's what Island life is all about.
The best fishing in Southwest Florida. The house has a private pool located on the best canal in Pine Island. Access to both sides of the Island. Fifteen minutes of idle speed and you're in the intercoastal. Once in the intercoastal, you can see the Sanibel Causeway, and five minutes further, Fort Myers Beach. Boca Grande Pass and Cayo Costa just minutes away. St. James offers five restaurants within 10 minutes by boat or five minutes by car. Everything is really close. Nature trails just a small walk from the house.
We have a 3bd/rm 2 bth with a garage and pool. The master bd/rm has a king bed, dresser, tv/dvd and bath rm/shower. The 2nd rm has a double bd with dresser. The 3rd rm has 2 twin beds with a dresser. All the rooms in the house have ceiling fans including the kitchen. The 2nd bth/ rm has a tub/ shower. Our living rm, dinning/rm and kitchen are open with views to the pool and water. For your convience we have phone (with long distance), internet and cable. There is a patio set down on the dock. It makes for great lunches while you watch boaters go by and wave. At night after a long day of boating or venturing out my family loved to take a swim and make a fire (in the fire pit). While the kids made somores and we'd have a few cocktails- Life sure is great!
It's truly an experience. My mother-in-law loves the place. Plans on retiring here and so do I.
