  Very inviting place with nice living room and a kitchen with great appliances. The bedroom is comfortable and had good reading lights. We enjoyed the nearby State Parks, Apalachicola National Forest and Tate's Hell State Forest. The birding is wonderful. Carrabelle Beach is pretty in all weather. This is a great vacation spot along The Forgotten Coast. The rental agent was always ready to help if we had questions. We recommend the Captains Quarters without reservation.

  This is the first time we have used a vacation rental and we can't say enough good things about this condo. It was everything that was advertised. The property was clean and well maintained. I would definetly recommend this place and it was in a perfect location to explore the coast. It was perfect for our family. We have two young children and there was enough room for all of us. It was too cold to use the pool but we enjoyed the hot tub and we loved the town of Carrabelle. We drove up to Mexico Beach, watched dolphins and collected sea shells at Alligator point, and came back to the condo to enjoy the amazing oysters of the Apalachicola area. We did not want to leave. It was just an amazing four days and I can't wait to spend a week in the area. We loved the condo...it was clean, well decorated, and I loved cooking in the kitchen. We loved the outdoor shower to rinse our seashells. My children loved walking the area and we loved watching the sunset every evening and the sunrise. There were two minor complaints, one is there appears to be a place with live music and it was difficult getting to sleep (it was 11pm). I don't know if sound travels well near the river but it was loud in our bed. The other was that we were hoping to do some grilling but the grill did not appear to have any gas. We did not bother to call anyone because as I said before this was a WONDERFUL trip and we decided to eat more oysters:) The owner was extremely gracious and a delight to speak to. Cant wait to visit Carabelle again....

  We'd been looking for somewhere new to try and Carrabelle fit the bill. Close enough to St. George Island to get your typical beach experience, close enough to other areas for various excursions, but Carrabelle itself is a quiet getaway. The condo was perfect. Screened in porch with a fan was relaxing in the afternoon with a breeze. The pictures don't lie-this is a well maintained, clean condo, with nice amenities. Plenty of kitchenware and linens, comfortable couches and chairs. The complex was also very clean and well maintained. It was nice to stroll around in the afternoons and check out the boats at the marina while watching the sun set. We're already planning our next visit.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  This property was the perfect fit for our off the grid beach get-away. Beautifully furnished, nice location, clean and very comfortable. If you're looking to get off the grid and away from the crowds and tacky beach attractions of Destin and Panama City, Carrabelle and this unit is a perfect fit.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
