Artistically unique contemporary mountain home designed by Morter Architects, available for rent.

House is located off of Tiger Road off of Rt 9, north of Breckenridge and south of Frisco; next to Summit Estates and Breckenridge Golf Course. The home borders national forest land with a 1.5 mile private gravel road.

Custom built green home, all natural building products, allergy sensitive, electricity runs only on solar energy (with an emergency back up generator). In floor radiant heat, vaulted ceilings and wood burning fireplace. Two car over-sized attached garage.
Kids are welcome, we have a beautiful fully equipped Cedar Works playground. Dogs are welcome with a pet deposit. Sorry no cats. Our home has spectacular views of Breckenridge's Ten Mile Range to the North West.

In the winter time snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling trails are located 3 miles from the house. Hiking and biking in the summer are only 3 miles from the house.

The master bedroom features a designer Ligne Rose bed, and large windows throughout the house let in plenty of natural light. All bedrooms and the lower level family room have 100% wool Berber carpets.

Our open floor plan includes a vaulted ceiling living room, dining area, and deluxe kitchen which features a commercial grade six burner range, Sub Zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and unique soapstone counter tops.

Enjoy the deck off the dinning room area, equipped with gas grill and access to the side yard.

The kids bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunk beds and a loft above. Many children's toys and games are available. A crib is also available upon request.

Master bedroom has a king size bed, a walk in closet, private bathroom with deluxe shower, and private deck with magnificent views.

Guest bedroom has a European king bed. Shared bathroom with kids room.

Lower level European King bed and private bathroom.

Living room has 56" DLP Wide angle TV, DVD/CD player, and Dish Network DVR.

There is high speed, wireless internet, and Verizon Wireless phone service.

FOUR WHEEL DRIVE is required in the winter we have snow packed roads from November to April.

Fantastic Family Retreat to Celebrate a ? Special Anniversary ?

To fully appreciate how wonderful this home is, you must stay at the Solar Home yourself. It's hard to describe the {magic} of this place in words alone. The pictures are accurate but pale in comparison to the majesty of the Solar Home. I kid you not!! What a wonderful place - for all of our family! Wonderful appearance and many, many amenities. We had {room and comfort for all}: grandparents, parents, and kids alike. The kids LOVED the kid room/game room and the play ground is phenomenal! The grownups enjoyed the spacious living and all around comforts of home in the mountains. The property is well-maintained and absolutely a wonderful retreat. {Retreat} is the right word for this little slice of heaven. It's spectacular how {"green" the house} in all regards. Inspiring really! :) We found it extremely easy to work with the owner. They are very accommodating and gracious - 2nd to none! We will certainly hope to stay here in the future. We've made some {incredible} memories for a lifetime. We enjoyed the forest, the playground, the game room, the hikes, the sunrises and sunsets. It is so close to town that it is the perfect balance of "going up to the mountains" and still feeling free to run into town on a moment's notice. {SUPERB} balance of remote living and small town life. We have been life long fans of Steamboat. Looks like Breckenridge is becoming our new favorite vacation spot. Who knew?! Would recommend the following restaurants in Breckenridge: Lucha Colorado Cantina, Empire Burger, and Michael's Italian Restaurant. All are delish and we went more than once to each! Would recommend the following for hiking close by: to Lily Pad Lakes (kid/family friendly) and Mohawk Lakes (moderate). Running down the lane (approx. 1.5 miles) and attempting to run back up it was super fun, too! Thanks so much for a wonderful time and beautiful stay! We hope to return again really soon. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Breckenridge!!!

I've stayed here for a few weeks every year for the past 3 years and I have to say that this place is incredible. The homeowner is great and wants to make sure that your stay is perfect. We love the beautiful views from the deck and the kids had a blast on the playground (which is bigger than the one they have at school!) If you want a place that's secluded, private, quiet but still close enough to town, then I would suggest this place. I've also had my friends stay here and they loved it as well. Lots of hiking really close out the door and if you're a mountain biker, one of the best trails in Colorado can be ridden to. Getting to the ski hill is about a 10 minute drive. Well worth it, and we'll be back!
