The photos on VRBO wowed us and definitely were the reason we chose to rent the Skybox unit. We were a little worried the condo wasn't as nice in person, however this was definitely NOT the case. Skybox was lovely... the views are sensational by day and especially by night. Kelli has decorated and stocked the place well - very good attention to detail. We walked the city and neighborhoods and feel the Yaletown location provides the best for access to markets, restaurants, rail/bus system, night life, shopping. It's all right there. The only bad thing was we didn't want to go out - just wanted to enjoy the sunsets on the rooftop. It definitely is a destination in itself! Thanks Kelli, for offering the Skybox to others to enjoy. It definitely made our stay memorable!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband & I stayed for 8 days in this 33rd floor skybox apartment for our 30th wedding anniversary and it was fabulous. The photos are accurate - the apartment is lovely - but even we were stunned by the views. The floor-to-ceiling windows steal the show, as does the view of English Bay from every room in the apartment, especially the rooftop terrace. It was difficult to pry ourselves from the apartment to experience Vancouver, but we did. Sun shades in the bedroom and bathroom help prevent the apartment from getting too warm on sunny days, and great curtains help block the sun if you're a late sleeper. One word of caution - if you're bashful, the lack of curtains in the master bath may cause some anxiety. The sun shade helps some, but will not block others' view of you at night. Don't let that scare you, though. There is enough light from the city to help you navigate in the darkness, and taking advantage of that soaking tub while taking in the lights of the city is quite a treat. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked and we appreciated the special touches like fresh sunflowers, plenty of coffee/tea supplies, well-maintained appliances and the stacked washer/dryer as well as a great collection of local tourist information. Also, this apartment had the best "Welcome/Info" book we've ever seen in a rental. It's obvious the owner's have put a lot of effort into making this a top-notch rental. For that, we are very grateful. Climate control was a non-issue. The thermostats are really easy to understand and use, as is the lighting and TV/music system. We found everything at our fingertips and directions in the book were very easy to follow. The best part of the apartment is the private rooftop terrace. It's simply amazing. If the weather is good, you'll find yourself up there at all times of the day. The 180+ degree views of Vancouver are spectacular, but the sunsets over English Bay are the real show stoppers. The Starbucks on the ground floor is also a bonus. We loved everything about this apartment. It's breathtaking and definitely worth a stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at this property. AMAZING! We loved everything about it. The sunrise's and sunsets were beautiful. The view was amazing! The house was spotless. We are clean freaks, so it takes a lot for me to say that. Kelly was amazing with communications. A very romantic place to stay. A terrific part of Vancouver. It is close to everywhere. We would definitely come back. A definite must to stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This rental is a treat for the discriminating traveler! The property looks exactly as portrayed in the photos on the website. The views are breathtaking and we were greeted by fresh flowers and a fridge stocked with wine, drinks, cream and orange juice, as well as fresh Illy coffee! The location is very central and convenient and we enjoyed several good meals in Yaletown. Do try "The Flying Pig" - wonderful food and a great vibe. Kelle was a pleasure to deal with, helping us with suggestions for sight seeing etc. Sitting on the rooftop patio and watching the sun set was magical. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Skybox for 5 days and had a thoroughly enjoyable time, both at the flat and in the city. The flat is beautifully furnished and offers a spectacular view over the sights of Vancouver and the surrounding area. The photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was spotless on arrival. We spent hours on the roof deck at night taking in the views listening to smooth tunes on the stereo. Most vacation rentals are primarily a comfortable place to sleep. The SkyBox is a destination in itself. We would happily recommend the Skybox to friends and family. I'd give it a 6 out of 5 if I could.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Skybox is absolutely a fantastic place to stay! We spent a gorgeous August week there, enjoying the city and even viewed the fireworks from the private roof-top deck. The place is immaculate, modern and luxuriously appointed -- even better than you can imagine from the photos. Location was perfect with cafes and gourmet grocers nearby, but also all the eateries of Yaletown. All the amenities were in good working order and convenient. The layout worked well for us with one teenager using the single-bed alcove on the upper floor. The owner was extremely pleasant to deal with and completely helpful. We HIGHLY recommend staying here for a mind-blowing view of Vancouver. And if you visit during summer, get tickets for the Bard on the Beach (Shakespeare festival)-- it's very enjoyable.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at Skybox felt just like being at home...but so much better. We we received a warm welcome on arriving at the unit and were overwhelmed by its beauty and elegance. All the conveniences of being at home were at our fingertips. We could cook our own meals, relax to an ocean view, step out for a walk in Yaletown, take the aquabus to Granville Market, or take a short walk to the harbour to see the Olympic Flame, or shop on nearby Robson Street. For some delicious Italian food, enjoy Q4 al Centro close by at 780 Richards Street! This is a beautiful, well-maintained, and elegant penthouse condo located in an area which is safe and has easy access to all type of amenities for your visit to Vancouver. Thank you to the owner for offering this condo to visitors to Vancouver!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a week in Kelli's apartment this July and we were so, so happy. The apartment is clean, modern and hyper-functional. The views from every room are just breathtaking. We'd go out and see the sights etc as you do, but when we opened the door of the ap't each time we returned, we both just went "Oh! and wow!" Words can't describe the impact of that view to the West over the top of this wonderful city and out to the Ocean and Mountains. As the week progressed, we ended up buying food and bringing it in so we could just sit in the kitchen and look out over the city whilst eating. It is, literally, the best seats in the city from which to have a glass of wine and eat. All of ap't amenities are top notch and you feel as if you're living in a tv show, it's so 'right'. There's a great lap pool and gym available to you as a 'resident' and having a Starbucks in the basement started the day very nicely. Best of all though was the bath. You can lie back in the bubbles, sipping a glass of wine and look out over the twinkling city lights whilst watching the seaplanes make their graceful turns on approach to landing in the harbor. So peaceful, so refined, so special. We plan to go back next summer and do it all again. Can't wait.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was by far the best and most amazing part of our honeymoon. The condo looks exactly like the pictures. The accommodations are wonderful, the view is amazing, and the neighborhood is a perfect spot to start any tourist activity. This condo should be listed for at least 4x the current asking price...if you are travelling to Vancouver...stay here!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I spent three days midweek at the Skybox and it is called this for a very good reason. A bit of heaven in the heart of downtown!! This property has everything one would want in a downtown location in Vancouver. Close to parks, shopping, sightseeing, water, main road. The condition of the unit is immaculate, tasteful and modern furniture, full chef kitchen, bathtub looking out over the city, remote controlled privacy wall window shades, secure indoor parking, decor is modern and clean, full stereo, seamless universal remote for tv/dvr/dvd/cd with speakers in all rooms and rooftop deck, wifi, great custom info book to explain the unit inside and out including local shops and directions. Check in was seamless, great communication with owner, prompt response and local contact person for any problems, although we had none at all. Saving the best for last, the huge private 34th floor rooftop deck, best view over the city and out into the Bay, found ourselves up there for coffee in the am and drinks in the evening despite the occasional rain storm in mid october. Truly no better place to stay in Vancouver, and given downtown pricing its also a great value. Look no further, just don't book the Skybox during the week we plan to return next year. We already miss the views :( You will love this place like we did :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We travel to Vancouver about three times a year. We were very happy to once again stay at The Skybox. This apartment is just great and a very cool spot to launch forays into the very hip Vancouver scene. The Vancity Theater is connected to the building where foreign and independent films are shown. We happened to catch the tail end of the Vancouver International Film Festival. What a cool thing to have so close to the apartment. The apartment has a very stylish interior, great contemporary kitchen. We cooked breakfast every morning but with all the fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance we always had dinner out. From fine dining to authentic, tasty and cheap ethnic foods, its all there. One thing we do appreciate in rentals is a kitchen stocked with a few essentials like Olive oil and a few spices. The Skybox had that and a lot more. We have stayed in rentals that had absolutely nothing in the kitchen. You really don't want to purchase olive oil, salt and spices if you are there for a just a little while. One of the best features is the incredible view from the floor to ceiling windows. Even if it was a rainy day and we wanted to stay close to home we weren't missing out on some great scenery. The owner is very responsive to suggestions and after a mention on our last visit she quickly added some great reading lamps for the bedroom. The upper deck is truly incredible. The view and all the greenery really make it a special spot, definitely plan to spend some time up there!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family has been using VRBO for a few years in various locations around the world, so for our 5th anniversary, I decided to surprise my wife with a trip to Vancouver. I can not begin to explain how much this condo contributed to the perfect vacation (but I will try :-) 1st off. The view: Absolutely amazing! The view from every room and the roof deck is truly incredible. The condo's decoration and finishes are second to none. Modern yet comfortable and welcoming. The audio-visual system in the condo is great and the central sound system in every room (even the roof-deck and the bathroom) made every second enjoyable. The roof-deck is the perfect place to unwind with music, wine and cheese, after a long day of hiking. The condo is extremely central to anything and everything you might want to see. My wife and I walked everywhere and hit every attraction without even a cab ride.We will definitely return to Vancouver soon and hope to stay in the skybox. We can't imagine staying anywhere else.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

From the moment we opened the door until the day we sadly closed it behind us, our stay at the Skybox condo was truly exceptional . The apartment was luxurious, exclusive and comfortable to relax in after a long day. The owners have decorated the suite with a beautiful mix of modern (yet comfortable) furnishings and contemporary art, the view...beyond words. The location is the best in downtown Vancouver, central and within walking distance to all areas of the downtown core and a quick foot passenger ferry ride to Granville Island. There are fantastic markets within a couple blocks and loads of great casual bistros nearby. The private roof top deck is just spectacular, the best view in the city for watching the sunset. We can't wait to visit again!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed a week at the skybox condo and had a wonderful time. The view is amazing and the location could not be better. We we lucky enough to view the fireworks in the bay during our stay. The condo is close to several markets, many coffee houses, there is a new park across the street. It is also within walking distance of many great restaurants. It has was nice for my husband to have the wireless internet to be able to connect to his office when needed. Thank you Kelli for the nice touches like the wine and drinks in the fridge. We loved the Skybox! The apartment had everything we needed, and more! Very well outfitted to cook, do a little work at the desk, lounge, entertain, and just relax. The location is absolutely unbeatable! I know other reviews have said this, but until we were really there and exploring we had no idea how lucky we were. We could walk to many different types of restaurants, the aqua taxi to Granville Island, the waterfront, jazz music (we were lucky enough to be there during Jazz Fest!), shopping, and great groceries. The only time we drove was to Grouse Mountain (beware the Grouse Grind- it is tough!) and Stanley Park and Aquarium, though we could have biked to that.. Great place, we cannot think of a thing that was missing. It was clean, safe, very well maintained and stocked, and the views are beautiful! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Vancouver.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was a perfect week! We entertained friends and also just relaxed and hung out on the fabulous roof top deck. The Skybox is great for both activities. Your kind restaurant suggestions and terrific touring materials that you provided, were extremely helpful. We took many of your eating out suggestions and did not have one bad experience. The little touches make yor rSkybox extra special: the binoculars, umbrellas, shopping bags, the flowers upon our arrival and the perfect for cooking gourmet kitchen! Thank you. I would say that within a week after his proposal, I started stalking this listing on VRBO. It wasn't until about a month before the wedding that we decided to commit to it, and boy are we glad we did. There aren't words to describe exactly how spectacular the view is from the apartment. It is perfectly situated - walking distance to several local markets and drugstores, the water, Robson Street and more. It is, quite literally, HEAVEN for any couple looking to visit Vancouver in style. It had every amenity we needed including wifi, plug&play printer, coffee maker, books, blankets, all the right kitchen gadgets and washer/dryer. We hardly left the apartment in the almost two weeks we spent there - and it's not just because we were on our honeymoon. It was quite literally too beautiful to leave! If you're going to be in Vancouver and you enjoy modern elegance and penthouse views - then this is the place for you!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I would agree with the others who found this place more than satisfactory. View is spectacular...if you are lucky enough to be in Vancouver with sunshine. Location could not be better as you can walk to to anything. Finally, the price is a bargain when compared to most of the better downtown Vancouver hotels.Did you find this review helpful? My partner and I spent two wonderful weeks in this stunning apartment. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. You are so high up that you can stand on the balcony and plan your trip for the day since you can see all main streets from there. The location is perfect for exploring on foot, since everything in Vancouver seems to be in walking distance (if you like to walk). Public transport is also at your doorstep and so are restaurants and night life. Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities we have been to and it doesn't get more stylish than this apartment. One word of caution: if you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring some earplugs. Having the city laid out below comes with the cost of hearing all of the city too ;-) Small price to pay for this amazing location. The owners are really friendly people who are willing to help out with anything that would make your stay more enjoyable. Highly recommendable.Did you find this review helpful? My wife and I were looking for a trip to celebrate our 24th Wedding Anniversary. We live near Los Angeles, and my wife's favorite vacation is at the beach. So, originally we considered La Paz in Mexico but then decided upon Vancouver after talking with a neighbor who goes there for work. We made the right choice. Vancouver is a wonderful city; the people are friendly, the transit system easy to use and the food and sights superb. For exploring Vancouver, this apartment is in the perfect location. Safe. A food market a block away. Great sushi! Great restaurants in general! We took buses or walked to every place we wanted to go (Granville Island, Float Plane, Stanley Park etc.). The apartment itself is stunning. My wife had no idea what to expect, and was rendered a bit speechless by the floor-to-ceiling light and the view when we first entered. The pictures just give an inkling of what it's like, with an adult beverage in hand, to watch the Sun set from the terrace over the entire harbor from the 33rd floor. You will relax. The amenities are all modern and as shown at the site. Also, there are no hidden costs. None of the cleaning fees, etc. to jack up the base price. We've always had good luck with VRBO, but this was a notch above. A great place for a romantic, two-person get-away. One caveat. Stay away from Hastings Street North of Chinatown. Although nothing happened to us, it's reputation as one of the toughest streets in Canada is well earned. We'd love to stay there again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
