Private Pool & Screened Porch...BJ's Crystal Beach House
Come and stay with us in our Destin vacation beach home
(over 2300 square feet) with wrap-around decks for sunbathing, a screened porch, and a very private pool! The white picket fence and stained glass window in the gable give our Destin home a "storybook look".
An appealing spiral stairway takes you to a view of the Destin, Florida's beautiful, emerald ocean. There are two spacious bedrooms with cathedral ceilings, TV/DVD, and king size beds in each bedroom. There is a full bath on the top level , The loft has four beds for sleeping the kids, too. These are built in beds with pull out trundle beds underneath. There is a 32 inch TV for the kids with a DVD player as well. You can walk out on any of the three decks and sit while enjoy the breezes from Destin's beach or the sunshine.
The second floor is the main level with two sitting areas, two dining areas, and a kitchen with an island with stools. There is a queen leather sleeper sofa on the second floor of our beach house. The main floor opens to a wrap-around deck and a screened-in porch that overlooks the backyard and the private pool. You can sit and enjoy the breezes, watch the kids in the pool, eat on the porch or decks or cook on the gas or charcoal grill. Destin Beach Living at its best!
On the first floor, enter our Destin beach, vacation home through a private patio to the master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a queen sleeper sofa and a private bath with a Jacuzzi tub. Also,there is a large walk-in closet and a laundry room.
Meet your family or guests on the middle level for open entertaining in two living areas, attractive tiled dining room, or in the full kitchen with breakfast bar . There you will want to wander out to the screened porch where you can enjoy the shady, serene, and natural backyard and catch more of Destin's gulf breezes.
The fenced backyard has another surprise - a PLAYHOUSE(200 sq.ft.), just for FUN or sleepovers! Plus...your VERY private swimming pool to cool off in!
Our Destin, Florida vacation home has 2 central AC zones for your cooling comfort and a convenient outside shower. Each room has a ceiling fan. All bedrooms have a TV and DVD Player. Also, there is an extra sleeper sofa in the middle living area and a Futon sofa bed in the playhouse!
BJ's Crystal Beach House is located a block and a half to two blocks from Crystal Beach, a friendly and popular Destin neighborhood. Destin is noted for gorgeous, emerald waters and white sandy beaches, super shopping, fun parks, and excellent dining. Destin is called "the world's luckiest fishing village"!

Why the Owner Chose Crystal Beach
We decided to purchase our beach house after looking at many homes because it seemed just right for our three generational family to get together. We loved the wonderful private yard with trees, a pool and a deck not to mention the screened porch as well as the playhouse. We love that our home is close to the beach but has the privacy of a back and front yard. In addition, the fact that we are right in the middle of Destin being across from Destin Commons Shopping Center, but still the charm of a neighborhood that the Crystal Beach Area has, was very appealing. And finally, there was a charming cottage feel to the spiral stairs and A-frame that just spoke beach home. It felt like it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach lifestyle. We are pleased we purchased it and love our beach home. We hope you will, too.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love eating many of our meals on the screened porch that overlooks the pool. The openess of the second floor allows us and our guests to come together to enjoy each other, but then the spaciousness and all the decks allow for privacy and small groups as well. We love the size of the front and back yard with trees that provide shade from the Florida heat and of course, the pool. We also enjoy having children or teenagers enjoy the playhouse and the pool together while the adults lounge near by. The light in and around the pool allows night swimming. We love sleeping with the windows open in the spring and fall to enjoy ocean breezes. Then we can walk to the beach anytime and stroll or sunbathe. When we want to shop or eat out, we are near so many restaurants and shops, that our beach home, just makes it a great spot for us and our family. Come see for yourself!

The best part of owning BJ's Crystal Beach House is sharing it with family, friends, and our guests. We purchased our home away from home before we retired. Bobby Joe was a pilot at Delta Airlines, and Faith was a school counselor. Now Bobby Joe is coaching soceer, and Faith manages the beach rentals. We have four sons, three daughter-in-laws and at long last a granddaughter who share the beach house with us. We do our best to provide a place for you to relax and build memories with your family. Come take a long walk on the beach, wiggle your toes in the sand or sit by our pool at BJ's Crystal Beach House in the Crystal Beach Neighborhood of Destin. We will put the welcome mat out for you!

Thank you Faith and BJ for a most wonderful, fun filled week! We went with our children and their families (grandchildren all ages 2 and under). We stayed by the private pool and on the screened porch the whole week (GREAT screened in porch for late night visiting!!!). We only went out to eat once as everything you need to just hang out and eat at 'home' is right here! There are many decks to choose from if you need to get away to relax by yourself for a little bit. We were very close to beach and plenty of beach 'toys' are onsite....we did not bring the first beach chair or beach toy! The wagon that is provided to travel to the best was the BEST! Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We surely plan to be back!!

We stayed over Christmas 2010 for our first Christmas away from home. The owners were wonderful and had a beach themed Christmas tree waiting for us. The house is immaculate and has all that is needed. They really thought of everything. The pool was preheated and ready to swim when we arrived, and they called to check to be sure everything was ready for our vacation. It was a wonderful place to stay and have a relaxing and blessed holiday with family. The home was also very pet friendly with the fenced backyard. Our little Boston Terrier loved exploring the beautifully landscaped yard. Thanks so much for the gracious hospitality and beautiful home they shared with our family.

We have stayed at the beach house for the last two years, and it really is a home from home. The facilities within the house are excellent and the heated pool is a lovely area to relax. Only a short walk to the lovely beach ( and the regular passing dolphins ), and only a couple of minutes drive to the Commons shopping areas. A really well maintained property with helpful owners. We'll be back.

Destin is a great place to visit anytime, but there are great bargains and special things for Snowbirds from anywhere who want to visit us for the beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and shopping. The beaches are beautiful and the sun sets over the ocean in the winter. We hope these guests will be back, but come see for yourself why they have visited us two years in a row for a month in the winter. We have special rates for a month from November to February. We will do our best to make sure that you feel at home in our beach home.

We are eagerly planning our second visit to BJ's Crystal Beach House in June. We are so excited! Each day we talk about our great experience last year. Our five-year-old wants to know if the shark float will be there again. Our 8-year-old is anxious to get back to the "playhouse" with the TV, games and puzzles. My husband is planning some early morning excursions to the beach and I am more than excited about the excluded pool that I won't have to share with strangers. Thanks so much for the relaxing vacation and the incredible memories. We can't WAIT to get back!

Our family spent a wonderful week at BJ's Crystal Beach House. There is so much attention to detail when you book this house! You could literally step off a plane with your swimsuit and beach clothes and need nothing else. The house is divided into separate living areas for multiple family groups. Children have a special place for tv and games in the playhouse. The pool is shaded part of the day. There is even a wagon to pull the PROVIDED beach chairs, coolers, floats, towels and unbrellas for the short walk to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped with sets of china, silver and glassware for large groups. The bedding is high quality and everything is clean and fresh on arrival. In addition an inventory is provided so that you know what is and is not in the house. Consider this house but not the week we plan to go back!

July 2009 at BJ's Crystal Beach House was our first vacation trip to Destin. We had never booked thru VRBO and really didn't know what to expect. The pictures of the place looked nice, but when we arrived, we were amazed at how beautiful it really is! We are a newly blended family with five teenagers and they each brought a friend!! They were all impressed and enjoyed every part of our stay. This home is close to everything from shopping to parasailing. BJ and Faith really made us feel like family staying in their home. They called to make sure we arrived safely and before we left to make sure our stay was comfortable. They provide more than you can imagine and believe it or not we didn't break a thing!!! When we discussed where to go this year for our summer vacation everyone agreed they wanted to return to Destin and stay at BJ's once again. We are booked for June this year and can hardly wait!!
