The house is nestled on 2 acres of ponderosa pine forest, has spectacular views of the Chalk Cliffs, and provides exceptional quiet and solitude combined with easy road access. The house has three bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens), two full baths, and is decorated and equipped to make this vacation home a real home away from home. Trout fishing in Wright's Lake is within easy walking distance. The cabin is close to Chalk Creek, and the area abounds with wildlife. Mule deer are frequently seen from the front porch.

I'd recommend this house to anyone. We were able to hike, cross country ski, and downhill all from the same location, and we loved the convenience of being so close to both Buena Vista and Salida. The kids loved playing near the creek, and the woodburning stove kept the house incredibly warm. At night we even saw the Milky Way! The Olert's, Denver, CO

Dear Bonnie, I just wanted to tell you that we had a great time on our vacation and we found that your vacation home was the best stocked and most “homey” of any place we have ever rented. The thoughtful touches of a selection of books and games, extra pillows and blankets, etc made a real difference. The kitchen had every possible item to prepare meals.
