Enjoy this cozy, inviting cottage located in beautiful historic Flat Rock area of North Carolina mountains. Named "The Lark", it was built in 2006, so all the furnishings and appliances are new! Sit on the large covered porch overlooking the goat pasture, entertained by the antics of our newest 6 baby goats. In the cool evenings you can enjoy roasting marshmallows over the stone fire pit under the stars.
Don't want to cook? Walk to the famous Season's Restaurant located in the Highland Lake community, literally around the corner. Or select from the many wonderful restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes drive in Flat Rock or Hendersonville.
Golf is right across the road at Highland Lake Golf Course, or choose from at least 10 other public courses within a 20 minute drive. Tennis courts, pool and the beautiful Highland Lake are all available to our guests right on the property. Stroll down to the lake for a swim or a canoe ride or to fish. For the family of younger children, there are the goats to feed and milk, the very friendly peacocks, and many guinea fowl to pet and enjoy!
Flat Rock Playhouse is not to missed! Check out the calendar of shows on their website. Hikers and mountain bikers enjoy Dupont State Forest's waterfalls and Pisgah Forest. Shopping and antiquing are abundant in Hendersonville and Asheville (25 min.away). Every weekend, Hendersonville sponsors many fun events, from Music, to antique car parades. Check out the Chamber of Commerce to ensure you don't miss one!
