Walk to Recoleta Village and the famous shopping street of Avenida Sante Fe. This location has everything at your doorstep including 5 star restaurants, bars, health clubs, laundry services, massages, medical services or food shopping. "Azcuanaga 1b" is located in a beautiful upscale 1930's French Art Deco building with Terrazzo floors, beautiful french door entry and a charming doorman(Juan Carlos), who will attend your every need.
Safety is always a concern for the traveler and this apartment is located in the safest barrio of the city. Posh, upscale and family orientated, you'll feel safe in the streets 24 hours a day and live like a Porteno.
"Azcuenaga 1b" features a beautiful 400 square foot private terrace and is truly an oasis within the city. Surrounded by lush plantings you can relax to the sound of your water fountain or heat up with your own outdoor fireplace. Located at the back of the building it has no street noise and provides a perfect atmosphere for relaxing after a day of touring in the city.
"Azcuenaga 1b" features high-end designer leather and wood furnishings. The living room has a Sanyo 32” LCD flat screen TV and features floor to ceiling windows and doors that open up to the ZEN terrace with water fountain and fireplace. Artwork, specially commissioned for the rooms, fills the walls with lively colors. Marble floors flow from the inside to the outside and this light and bright space is a perfect alternative to those who don’t want to be cramped in a small hotel room or apartment.
"Azcuenaga 1b" has been filled with reading material, including tourist guides, maps, restaurant referrals and information about attractions outside Buenos Aires. There's also books just to read for entertainment, perfect for the outside terrace or "chill area" upstairs.
Four guests can be accommodated comfortably in the property’s two bedrooms. The master suite features a designer white leather king-size bed and can be separated from the rest of the apartment with the close of a door. It also has floor to ceiling doors and windows that open up to the private ZEN terrace with water fountain and fireplace. The walls also feature artwork that has been specially commissioned for the room. Huge floor to ceiling custom closets will hold even the most ambitious wardrobes. The second lofted bedroom is accessed through its own stairs and features a queen-sized bed with its own custom closets. It is completely private from the Master Suite and has warm wood floors. The property features two beautifully renovated full-sized bathrooms so sharing will not be an issue. Each bedroom is luxuriously furnished with Egyptian cotton sheets and plush, soft Turkish towels.
Chefs won’t be disappointed by the property’s kitchen as well. It has everything you will need including a stainless steel range, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster and all utensils needed for cooking. The kitchen has granite counter tops and beautiful tile-work. All finishes are top-notch and won’t disappoint.
The business center is found in the second lofted area of the apartment. It features a custom, built-in desk and WIFI high speed internet access throughout the apartment. Also, a special L.A. number will be provided that allows your associates/family/friends to reach you with no international long-distance charges. Don't worry...our European guests...we thought of you too and you can call London, Dublin, Madrid, Stockholm...FREE. The second lofted area also has a special "chill area" with custom pillows and cushions that are tufted with chenille, perfect for reading or hanging out.

Year Purchased: 2006
Reuben Pacheco bought this property with his partner, Tim Jacobsen, in 2006. Reuben, a real estate veteran of 22 years, fell in love with the city of Buenos Aires and decided to make a 2nd home in the "Paris of South America". Upon closing, Reuben worked closely with a NYC designer to transform the apartment into something special. The apartment contains designer Italian leather furniture, specially commissioned paintings and an overall emphasis on tranquility. For the past two years, Reuben has really enjoyed renting out this second home and meeting many new people along the way. Reuben owns his own real estate company in Los Angeles and continues to work in the development and investment end of the business.
Why the Owner Chose Buenos Aires
Reuben Pacheco and Tim Jacobsen both found a connection to the city of Buenos Aires. As a city with strong European ties, both south and north, they both found the city to be a blend of Europe and Latin America. Both have found the people to be especially warm and restaurants that parallel the best in the world.

Living amongst the locals is key. Our apartment is part of a very well established neighborhood in Buenos Aires (Recoleta) Here we find ourselves out of the main tourist traps and amongst families and locals just "living their lives". Tree-lined streets and just about everything at your finger-tips makes it a fun place to stay. Our apartment has a wonderful PRIVATE garden to the back of the unit that is extremely peaceful and beautiful. Buenos Aires is a bustling city and the unusual quietness of the unit makes it a retreat within the heart of the city.
