Whether traveling single, with a friend, or as a couple on first or second honeymoon, Beachfront Pat's #506 is a great choice. For our traveling as singles guests we offer two distinctly separate sleeping areas, both with high quality queen-size beds. Take your choice of sleeping in our Sakura Room, decorated in the tradition of the Japanese card game, or in the oceanfront living room where you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves on the beach below. Please let us know if you are celebrating your anniversary or are on your honeymoon and we will have a chilled bottle of sparkling wine waiting for you upon arrival.
Our beachfront condo has been equipped with luxurious amenities to provide our guests with total comfort and relaxation. Among our amenities are two flat screen TVs with a 32" HDTV in the main living area, DVR so you don't miss your favorite programs while you are out sight-seeing, HBO, WiFi, iPod dock, ultra-comfortable motion couch, a beachside fresh water swimming pool, a year-around white sand swimming beach, and beautiful, tropical surroundings.
This condo has been designed and furnished to offer the maximum in comfort and luxury to our guests. This is a great choice for those seeking a luxuriously furnished beachfront accommodation. Our location is away from the crowds of Waikiki, in beautiful, low-key, lush and tropical Punalu`u.
For added value, we have taken into consideration some of the hidden costs that might be overlooked by our vacationers, especially in Hawaii, where prices for staples can be overwhelming. Stocking your newly arrived to rental with "basics" can really add up. For this reason, we supply our rental with lots of "extras" that many rentals do not offer, such as paper goods (enough toilet paper and paper towels for the duration of your stay), trash bags, foil, plastic wrap, full-size soaps, laundry softener and detergent, dish soap, a nice selection of herbs and spices, coffee filters, and many other essential every-day items that you would normally need to purchase on your own.

- Pat's at Punalu'u is nearby the Macadamia Nut Farm tours, Kualoa Ranch with its movie set tours, ATV tours and horseback riding, the Polynesian Cultural Center with its popular luau and Pacific Islander villages, Turtle Bay Resort, which has a full day spa, two championship resort golf courses and several restaurants. There are many beaches to choose from in the area and most are family-friendly and swimmable all year around, including the great beach fronting our condo. We are also located a short drive from the part of Oahu's North Shore that has the huge winter waves and professional surfing events. Punalu'u is technically located on the North Shore but we do not have the large surf conditions that other North Shore locations like Sunset Beach, Pipeline-Ehukai, Laniakea, Waimea Bay and other famous surf spots experience. Unlike other areas of the North Shore, guests are able to swim 365 days a year at the majority of the beaches in our area and in front of our condo!

Why the Owner Chose Punaluu
I grew up in Kailua and other areas of Oahu and always loved coming out to Punalu`u. To this day, Punalu`u has managed to maintain that "Old Hawaii" atmosphere and feel that so many visitors look for. We purchased this condo in order to comfortably accomodate visiting friends and relatives that visit us in Hawaii. We outfitted it luxuriously, with our family, friends and visitors maximum comfort in mind. You'll have many choices for units at Pats, but we feel ours is one of the best!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
When we purchased the condo it was in desperate need of a total renovation, which took several months to accomplish. Our guests have commented about how well designed and well-equipped the condo is, and all have enjoyed staying here. The beach rarely has more than a handful of people on it, the snorkeling is great, and the sandy swimming beach right in front of the unit is a definite perk! We supply several complete sets of snorkel equipment in a variety of sizes, boogie boards, portable coolers and beach towels. We think you will love our great beach location!

The property was just as described and pictured, it had more than anything you could even think of needing! Deborah really went above and beyond to make this place perfect. There was so many items there that we wouldn't have even thought of to bring like ponchos, umbrellas and all of the kitchen items one could ever even think to use. The views from the lanai were just stunningly beautiful as well, nothing beats the sounds of the ocean waves and breeze flowing through the condo...The size was perfect for my husband and myself and the location we felt was perfect. We wanted to be away from all of the craziness of Waikiki and be in a more relaxed surroundings and Punaluu is definitely the way to go. All of Deborah's recommendations for places to eat and things to do were right on as well. You definitely can't go wrong with this condo!!

I have left a lenghty review which allows much more detail on another popular vacation review site. I "Advise" you to go there and read it if you want to know more than this brief summary. All I need to say is Deborah is someone you can trust. She gave me detailed information before any money ever exchanged hands and I can say now after having spent a wonderful week at her place she was honest about everything. You will lack nothing while staying at her property. Deborah provides everything you'll need for cooking, beach play and relaxing in your condo. The beach view is beautiful and Pat's is peaceful and quiet. Pat's was our hub for seeing Hawaii so I cannot provide a lot of details on the beach here but it is close to a lot of wonderful beaches with big pounding waves if you like that. Actually our favorite beach from two seperate trips to Hawaii is just 5 to 7 minutes away from Pat's to the north. It is called Pounders beach by the locals I believe but that is a whole different review. All the beaches including Pat's are beautiful. Anyway, thanks Deborah for all the wonderful detail you put in to your place from really nice lawn chairs to that space age washer and dryer. We loved everything and will be back next year.

I went to the North Shore on business and wanted a peaceful and functional place where I could throw together a nice little breakfast each morning, come back at the end of each day, make a simple meal, kick up my feet, and eat out on a lanai while enjoying the beauty of the ocean. This was the perfect place! I specifically chose this unit amongst others because of the beautiful design and because of the Murphy bed situated right by the sliding glass door where I could be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves each evening, and awake to a gorgeous sunrise each morning. The kitchen had all the amenities and spices one could hope for. I had brought a few mixes and readymade items, so all I needed to do was go to Foodland just 5-10 minutes north in Laie and purchase my perishables. A washer and dryer in the unit allowed me to catch up on my laundry the night before leaving. The wi-fi worked great. In addition, I decided to use Oahu's bus system this time instead of renting a car. I simply took bus 19 from the airport to Waikiki, and then transferred to bus 55, which dropped me off directly in front of Pat's at Punalu'u. This same bus also ran between Pat's and my work assignment. Not only does Deborah have a keen eye for design, she is great to work with. Additionally, she has put together a binder that discusses every little detail you could possibly want to know about the area to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Thanks Deborah! I highly recommend your beautiful home!
Owner response:Thanks for your kind words... very much appreciated! It was a pleasure doing business with you, come back soon! Aloha, Deborah

Condo is exactly as described and pictured. Decorations throughout made it feel homey. A lot of work was put into the condo and it shows. Very clean and well stocked with supplies (coffee, tea, spices, dishes, towels, etc). Deborah replied quickly to all my questions and was very professional. Condo had more than expected with all kinds of beach equipment (snorkels, chairs, umbrellas, towels). Tons of movies and books too. Deborah provided a thorough booklet of info she personally put together on good places to eat, things to do, and other helpful hints. Ocean view right outside the condo :) Beautiful mountains on the other side. Area felt safe and surrounding condo area was well taken care of. Would not hesitate to book here again; great place to stay and easy trip to Waikiki or any other area of Oahu.
Owner response:Mahalo Heidi! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I'm glad to hear that our condo met your expectations. Hurry back to Hawaii! Aloha, Deborah

The images representing this lovely condo were very accurate. We had such a wonderful relaxing time in Punalu'u, and staying in such a luxurious and beautifully decorated place really made a difference. I don't think I have ever stayed at a place so well equipped. The kitchen was great, we mostly cooked at "home" --even a good selection of spices in the pantry. Snorkeling gear was a real plus and we had a fabulous morning of using it at Sharks Cove. Thank you Deborah for sharing your lovely home away from home with us!
Owner response:Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and thanks for the nice comments! Aloha, Deborah

My husband and I visited Pat's at Punalu'u during our honeymoon in June. We spent our first week in this condo and honestly wanted to go back immediately after we checked out. Although the other places we stayed were gorgeous as well, there was something so comforting about this unit. The unit is newly-redesigned, exactly as the pictures display, and was equipped with so many conveniences that other properties just don't have. We chose to sleep on the Murphy bed in the living room area solely to enjoy the sounds of the waves. We purposefully woke up to watch the sunrise and enjoy the Kona coffee each morning. Although the property (Pat's at Punalu'u) is older, this unit is very well designed and well worth the price. I'm already dreaming about coming back and CANNOT WAIT to stay here again! Thanks, Deborah!
Owner response:Mahalo for choosing Beachfront Pat's! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return visit!

I would stay here and no place else if I ever go back to Oahu. The condo is perfect and has everything! The description was exactly as we found it. Very easy rental as we were worried because this was a first for us. The beach was better than any at the high priced hotels we had looked at. Yes it's a bit of a drive to Waikiki but honestly I would not spend much time in the crowded city. I think there are more cars there than in NYC! The North Shore and areas surrounding the property have way more Hawaiian culture and really give you a true island experience. I will tell everyone to stay here. I can't say enough GREAT things about our experience. Thanks so much for everything Deborah and Kathe!

This was our first stay on Oahu and we had some high expectations. This condo and owner far surpassed those expectations. If you come during whale migration (which we did) do not waste your money on the whale watching boat tours. They are right outside your lanai! We also had great snorkeling just behind the condo, and the beach was as secluded as described. The pool was not available as they were emptying it but the ocean was fantastic! There was a shower to rinse off just behind the condo, and the lawn was beautiful and well maintained. As she explained in the listing all "basic" supplies were available, we only spent $75 on groceries for the whole 10days we stayed. That included steaks! Lastly, we visited Waikiki and Honolulu for some planned activities, but we could not wait to get back to our little piece of heaven on the Northshore! Don't miss Papa Ole's just up the road for the best Hawaiian breakfast ever! Overall we definitely recommend this condo, and we plan on returning as soon as we can! Thanks Deborah!!

My husband and I had the most enjoyable time at this condo! The condo itself is beautiful, well maintained, and comes with so many extras - you can't beat the value. We did some snorkeling on the private beach behind the condo and saw some beautiful fish and even 2 eel! It's close enough to a variety of activities and yet still in a very relaxed, quiet area - very peaceful. We loved it and highly recommend staying here.

I spent a month here in November, 2007, and on a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate this property a 5! I chose this unit based on the photos, and I can attest that it is even more inviting in person. The unit is extremely well stocked with anything you would need, and the owner and manager went above and beyond the norm to insure that my stay was enjoyable. The beach is very clean and great for swimming, and there are plenty of activities in the vicinity. The owner and manager both suggested "secret" places to visit that are not mentioned in the usual guide books and that are well worth the time to see, such as the Pupukea Heiau. Some call the North Shore the "real" Hawaii. It certainly is a very different experience than the chaos of Waikiki. I found it to be very enjoyable and would definitely return.
