Location: Portland, Portland Metro, Oregon, USA (Hawthorne District/five minutes from downtown Portland)
Accommodations: Condominium, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
The Cecilia is a condominium like no other. Situated in the Hawthorne District of Portland, Oregon (five minutes from downtown by car) and only one block from Hawthorne Avenue, it is an elegantly restored, circa 1910 condominium. Relax in the comfortable, beautifully furnished living room, sleep on the best of mattresses with high thread count sheets, cook in the gourmet kitchen (if you can resist the many incredible restaurants within walking distance) and enjoy your morning coffee on the private porch.
After a full day of activities, settle into an Adirondack chair on the porch with a glass of wine and plan your next day in Portland. What will it be? The Pearl District, Japanese Garden, Powell’s bookstore, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, antique shopping, a bicycle ride, a hike on one of the many park trails, the Portland Art Museum, The Saturday Market, a day trip to visit the vineyards? So much to do, so little time.

Copied from The Cecilia Guestbook: A week in the Cecilia has been a wonderful start to my new life in Portland! Very relaxing space to unwind at the end of the day, especially the great porch! I was able to walk to my new job and also look at potential future places to live (although it will be tough leaving the Cecilia!

From The Cecilia Guestbook: The Cecilia was a perfect respite for our family get-away to Portland and surrounding environs. Ideally situated and exquisitely furnished, it felt like home from the moment we arrived. Thanks to you and Erin for your attention to the details which made it easy for us to settle in. Fortunately, we had terrific weather during our stay, allowing us to do quite a bit of exploring in and around Portland. The cuisine in the surrounding Hawthorne neighborhood was a highlight--we especially enjoyed the Thai restaurant just a block away. Looking forward to future visits to Portland with The Cecilia as our home base.

From The Cecilia Guestbook: The Cecilia is indeed a very special place. We have enjoyed our stay more than I can possibly express. The decor is really striking--all the furnishings, everything in the kitchen, the bedrooms, bath towels, robes, slippers, it was all just very, very tastefully done. But warm and homey at the same time. We all feel that we were lucky to find a "home away from home". Especially at Christmas!

It truly is an amazing city – and you can just tell that the people here love living here. Life is good! Much love and greatfulness for your hospitality, Kate
