Greenview is located on The Mountain Road, Rte 108 minutes from Smugglers Notch Ski Resort. This is a Designated Scenic By Way in the State of Vermont, in a designated Historic Village; Jeffersonville, and in the Historic District - how can you beat that for ambience and scenery!? We are walking distance to anything you need.

The Perfect Location: Winter is PRIME TIME with a 7 minute drive to ski Smugglers Notch! The village has so much to do including, snowshoe, cross country ski, snow mobile rentals, sleigh rides. Restaurants and taverns are a short walk from the house. Groceries and alcohol can be bought at small markets 100 yards away.

In summer there is a waterfall across the street for plunging and swimming, a covered bridge and great trout fishing. 1 mile away on the Lamoille enjoy canoe, kayak rentals. Horseback riding and fly-fishing guides are found in several locations within 2-3 miles of Greenview. Take winery and sugar house tours year round within 10-12 minute drive.

About our special property: This is perfect for 2 families or extended family. Jeffersonville, gateway to Smugglers Notch is so special, so unspoiled by tourism it is beyond description. This property is just perfect for celebrating the history, environment and location of the place and most of all gathering big families!

Built in 1826 as a farmhouse with an attached summer kitchen and barn, it has been totally recreated as an extended family getaway for recreational use while preserving the historical character. Although we have 8 acres of wooded hills out back, we are right in the village - a very unusual combination.

The house has been updated with a modern kitchen and baths but is otherwise original. The bedding is all new, high quality and purchased in 2007.

The furniture and space are very conducive for entertaining large groups and families. All bedding is NEW. We have Direct Tv with HBO & DVD and WiFi.

The adjoining 8 acres of hillside has trails for hiking and snowshoeing. Our stone firepit out back is great for cookouts or winter campfires. There is a 3 Season porch, a kids playroom and a very large grassy backyard so that everyone has their own space.

Parking is always kept clear of snow and holds 8-10 cars.

The Smugglers Notch Inn is a few doors down. They manage our home, checking in guests and providing linens.

Convenience to the Mountain is Key! Drive 7 minutes and park. Our guests will experience total peace and classic Vermont beauty.

Parking at Smugglers Notch is easy. The Shuttle from the parking runs constantly. Tip $1 or $2 per trip and they drop you at the ticket counter. Arrive before 10am and you will NOT need a shuttle, park right at ticket/rental office. Ski on to the lifts from there.
